Clementine smiled softly to Lilly as Ash came back in. She admired the idea of chasing the other guys off, because it sure would be nice to settle down again. It could give more time to maybe find lost family like Tala, Vivian or Anthony, if any of them were still here.. or headed this way at all. The unsettling part of Koda or Ash's speeches was a seeming lack of plan to carry it out. If Papa Bear had one, she wished she knew what it was.
She also started toward Ash, when it seemed he might fall. Clem stood by Shaodow and pet the worried husky after Ash. That would be something to ask Papa Bear about later, once everything safe again. Her young dark eyes were drawn over Tori. A quiet anger rose in them, slightly twisting the rest of her face and nose to one side. Either of the girls were just stating to cut their teeth in the ways of sarcasm, yet so far to grow in taking it. The part where tori squatted down to their height especially grated on Clem for some reason.
Still, Clem grasped what Tori had meant, since part of her was already thinking it. She went to Dakota's side, giving Tori a sideways Clem-stare. ”She is making fun of us. Kinda a real butthead.” folding her arms, she glanced more directly at at Tori, ”Butthead.” Clem sighed and continued, ”Even buttheads can a have point.”

Dakota snort-giggled, ”She is a butthead. And I dunno. Maybe.” She idly played her hand over the top of her rifle. ” I didn't know anybody, but Clem was listening. What me and Papa Bear meant is still right. Seems like no matter where we go or stay we're gonna have to fight off some kind of crazy. Hoping they don't show up this time sure doesn't work. Wherever we go or stay... shooting 'em all at once is gonna be a hella, hella bad idea. That's not what I meant. Not what my Uncle Rob taught me. He taught alotta things. Like... whether you're a little girl or small family like us, if you have to fight. You fight from far away, and don't let the bandits see you. You set traps for bandits and hide. Check, reset and move traps and move and hide. All different kinds of traps that kill. What the traps catch, but dun kill, you kill anyway. And always never let them find you.”
The young girl's voice grew somber as she went, realizing just how ruthless her uncle had to be to keep their small family unit alive. Something she'd realized before, but never really described out loud. Whether she had any more to add quickly moot with a new voice from outside the RV.
Dakota took her youth .22 rifle up from her lap, following Tori to the RV door. She stayed just inside again, kneeling down for the best angle she could get on the man. Her aim was kept steady until the man's hatchet was put down. Once the weapons were given up, this Richard, didn't ping on Koda's crazy radar. The girl kept her rifle lowered, and hat tipped forward at 'I'm serious angle'. She called out to let Tori know they had her back, ”Don't you try anything! She may be a butthead, but she's OUR butthead! We all got our eyes on you.”

Clem hurried to the door too, but she stayed quiet, watching over Koda's shoulder. She had her handgun ready again, but was glad it didn't seem necessary this time. Clem moved away from the door to leave some space, and went to help soothe baby Lee. Baby Lee was getting a little fussy after all that commotion.
You always do this to me, you know this is what I wanted for a long time....I'm going to Colorado with or without your permission. Richard winced at the thought of never seeing his daughter again--then came the other voices. His eyes shifted up towards the window to see two little girls, one with a rifle pointed towards him. "I don't want any trouble, I was just making my way towards the tunnel... I heard the singing and saw you guys," he paused, "Look...I'm just trying to get to Fort Collins, my daughter I know she...she has to be there, I'm close..."
Tori flinched at the 'butthead' remark. Ah, to be young and not good at quips yet. Tori remembered those days. Took some years, but eventually the redhead mastered the art of back and forth banter.
“Better do what they say, or they'll gather with the rest of the oompa loompas and throw your ass out of town.”
These girls better know what an oompa loompa is because that movie is a classic! If not, Tori was going to have to find a DVD, TV, DVD player, and a place with power to show what they've been missing. Tori still wasn't sure what to make of this guy. He seemed genuine enough, and have cooperated so far. She turned to the others.
Mark opened up the drivers side to the fire truck and snorted as Kiku found the keys in the ignition. "I guess not a lot of people would think to check in there." He said placing the shotgun under the seat as he sat in the drivers seat. "Hey bub get in. I've got some questions about that group you were talking about." Mark said as he turned on the fire truck as the beast of a machine roared to life. It would push some of the smaller cars out of the way but trucks and bigger vehicles might hinder it.
Ash started to snicker as the girls called Tori a butthole. He moved over to Dakota and placed a hand on her shoulder as he walked out beside Tori. His magnum revolver in his hand pointed at the ground. "We're gonna be leaving here soon anyway. We're low on food as it is and he's another mouth to feed." Ash said to Tori tapping the barrel of his gun against his leg. "Lilly probably won't be too happy about it but Fort Collins could have more weapons, supplies, and people."
Richard watched as a man walked out of the RV, a magnum in hand. He must be the leader, Richard thought to himself, he began to talk about being low on food. Richard hated the idea that he would need to be provided food, he could find plenty on his own, but he understood the man's sentiments. "I have quite a few cans of food in my pack, please take some."
He stepped forward towards the RV, grabbing his pack and opening it up. He placed the glock on the ground and the hunting knife besides it. He stopped for a moment as his eyes caught glance of his photo album, he was closer now than ever to possibly finding out the truth, a small smile formed on his face.
He pulled up a few cans, "I have enough cans to feed your little ones until we get to Collins," he paused, "If you help me get there, I'll be in your debt."

Lilly didn't like any of this. First the singing cult appeared now another stranger. She didn't like any of this. She trusted Ash but he was always a bit too trusting in people. She gripped her pistol as she stood behind Dakota. She placed a hand on her shoulder giving her a reassuring squeeze. "Keep your finger off the trigger unless you're willing to kill what you're aiming at." Her father had told her that the first time he took her shooting.

With Lilly at her back, and Tori and Ash out front, Dakota's own unease ebbed away. She felt like the grown ups, for once, had things in control. Even if they didn't feel that way themselves. Her rifle was already lowered before Ash even slipped by out to Tori. She let her rifle fall out of the ready state into just one hand.
The man's search for his daughter and thinking about about what her uncle had taught her just moments before, sent Dakota's mind spinning down memory lane. To her family and regrets about leaving most of them to their fate as walkers or not getting to them in time.
What Dakota would never know is that at that very moment her thoughts turned toward them, the very walkers that had been her uncle, sick aunt and cousin April were finding rest in one of the worst wildfires to ravage Northern California. Burnt to a cinder along with the cabin they had all called home for the first seven months after the outbreak. That left only her mother still ambling around the streets of San Francisco. Even if she never learned that ultimate fate, at least she knew they were gone.
Since it seemed Tori, Ash and Lilly could handle Richard, if proved trouble after all, she started back further into the RV from the door. ”I guess he doesn't seem... that crazy. If he isn't I have a sticker to get.” She smiled back over her shoulder to Lilly before starting in.
Dakota knelt to hug Shadow and scruff over his ears, when she remembered she was supposed to be mad at Tori. Giving the husky a last few pets, she stuck her tongue out at Tori. She disappeared inside, heading toward Clem and baby Lee.
The other little girl's voice sounded from inside, ”What's an oompa loompa?"
Dakota giggled, ”I think their little orange people with green hair. You know the ones that sing from that chocolate factory movie. In my school, we saw it back in second grade.”
"Oh yeah. I didn't see it in school, but I did see it with my mom and dad. Are you sure they were orange?”
”I guess not in that new one they had, but the old was funnier."
The rest of their little talk got too quiet to hear except for the conspiratorial giggling that came from it.

Clementine kept her gun ready in one hand, while she sat and did her best to keep baby Lee entertained and quiet. She really hoped that guy out there wasn't with Brett. In her experience so far this apocalypse, when a few crazies crawled out of the woodwork, it wasn't out of the ordinary for all of them to crawl out. Maybe in the next apocalypse, there could a fewer crazy people.
She looked up to see Dakota coming away from the door, and it put Clem at some ease. If that man out there meant any harm, he wouldn't started by now? And she hoped those crazies didn't find Mark and Kiku. It felt like forever since they had went out. Koda's approach made Tori's words echo in her mind, though one sentence fragment stuck particularly in her head:
...they'll gather with the rest of the oompa loompas...
Though that name sounded familiar, she couldn't put her finger on it. She half tilted her head toward Dakota, ”What's an oompa loompa?”
Clem was surprised when Dakota leaned in and whispered something in her ear. She whispered back and soon they were both giggling. Clem collected an orange marker and a green marker. She gave the orange one to Dakota, and the girls each pocketed their respective marker for later.
Two innocent angels sat, trying not to giggle too much, and ready in case actual trouble broke out before Kiku and Mark could get back.
Tori looked over the food he offered. He seemed harmless enough, but Tori still wasn't willing to let him be armed when they still knew very little about him. She knelt down to grab the Glock and knife, and then got the hatchet as well.
“You can have your weapons back when we trust you're not gonna use them on us, or when we go our separate ways.”
She pocketed the knife and gun for now, and would find somewhere to put the hatchet. Tori glanced over to the tunnel and back to Richard.
“Which way did you come from? Didn't happen to see a tall biker and an Asian on your way here, did you?”
Al looked up at the man who seemed to tower over anyone whom he'd come in contact with, he made a quizzical face as if to say "who me?" before jumping in. He knew he had to get out of town, staying was only going to stack the odds against him. However, these two looked like fun and the Asian girl was smokin'. He glanced over and saw her looking at him, he winked at her. She replied with a quick turn of her head and what sounded like disgust. Oh, well, he thought, the trill is in the hunt after all.
Kiku watched the strange man jump into the fire truck, he was so strange. Was it that strange to encounter an honest and comedic man in these times? Honestly it seemed a little cliche, like something out of a corny B-list movie. The man had turned to look at her, and before she could even begin asking "what's your name" he winked at her. UGH! she quickly turned her head and let out a loud noise of disgust, he's one of THOSE guys...
She looked at Mark from the corner of her eye, is this guy really THAT important? All she wanted to do was push him out of the firetruck, and they haven't even left yet!
Mark started up the Fire truck. It's engine roared to life after being left unattended for sometime. Driving the Behemoth out into the tunnel it easily pushed Cars out of its way. Driving back they had very little issue with the cars in their way as they pulled up to the RV. Shutting down the Engine Mark climbed out of the truck. "Hey look what Kiku and I found."

Dakota froze at the sound of the fire truck, its engine, and the cars being pushed out of the way. She thought for sure those singing crazies were coming back. Thrown back into fight or flight mode, she knew, this time she didn't want to be tempted to shoot too early, so she stayed back with Clem. Whatever they had that could make that kind of noise, her little .22 rifle wouldn't do a damned thing to. It was good for hunting animals, and with good aim it wasn't bad at fighting off walkers and living humans. That was it.
To her great relief, all her white-knuckled worry was for nothing. Mark's voice was a golden thing to hear. He and Kiku made it back! She rushed out to see what them and what all the noise had been. It was ginormous! Almost enougoh to let her forget the singing crazies. Rifle in hand, she rushed on to the truck, making it her on makeshift jungle gym. ”That's fuckin' hella sweet.”
She offered a sparkly eyed smile and wave to Kiku as she climbed up and up onto the roof. Kneeling down, she got a Mark's eye view of the world from up there. Then she realized she noticed one extra person in the cab, besides Kiku. There was Mark... Kiku....and who???
Dakota had to grab her hat to keep it from falling off when her head poked down upside down to peer into the truck through the windshield from her perch on the roof. Little Miss Obvious pointed out Alphonse's presence, ”Did you run into the crazy people too? Is he one of them? Kinda looks like he is.”

Clem heart sank at the roar of the engine, coming from down the tunnel. She made sure baby Lee was safe where he was, and was glad Dakota did not go rushing off to see what it was. Not much either one of them could against people in machine big enough to roar like that. Together they could make any stranger invading the RV pay for whatever they did to get past the grownups outside. She made sure her handgun was ready if she need it. Taking a deep breath, she murmured Maybe it's Kiku and Mark.”
That was meant to reassure herself as it was to reassure Dakota, so it was to her great relief too to hear Mark speak up outside instead of more strange voices. When Dakota rushed outside, Clem made sure baby Lee was alright one more time, before following her friend out the door. Her dark eyes stared in quite awe at the truck's size. Smiling to Mark, ”Does this mean the lights were you and Kiku too? Or was that singing church people?
Being the more serious of the two girls, Clem often times helped reign in Koda's more rash side. Times like this, worked the other way around, watching Koda laugh and climb over the truck to the roof, woke a bit of Clem's Old World self, and she too ran to play and climb up to the top of the fire truck. It was kinda weird seeing the world from so high. She peered down the tunnel to see if she could still make out any of Brett's people.
Tori wouldn't get her answer before the firetruck came out of nowhere and nearly made Tori jump out of her own skin. She quickly backed up, yelling for the others to do the same while the firetruck came to a stop. She reached around for the Glock she acquired from Richard, glad she had more than a nightstick and a bat. Though she had no idea how to use it. Whoever was in that firetruck didn't have to know that. Her worrying would be for naught, as it turned out to be Mark and Kiku. Tori let out a breath of relief, but that relief didn't last too long.
“Jeez, do you think you could make anymore noise with that?” she asked, more sarcasm filled her voice as she approached. Noticing Dakota and Clem playing on top of the firetruck.
“Hey, you two, be careful you could fall.”
Did she say that? She said that. That was such a Mom thing to say. She wasn't old enough to be talking like a mother. You will not age me!
“Is that all you found? Because I'm not sure how much need we have for a second vehicle.”
Richard grunted in discontent as the redhead began to take his weapons. He wasn't even sure he could trust them yet, but it was too late. A loud crack came from the tunnels and a large firetruck plowed their way towards them.
Richard stepped back, unsure what was about to happen--he was defenseless and had no where to run. Shit...shit....should of stuck to myself, the others from the RV came out weapons drawn. There was three of them, an older man with an eye patch, a younger woman, and a strange man. His senses were on full alert, his heart pounding. A few of them called out to the people--they were friends.
Richard stood up a bit straighter and sighed, he turned towards Tori a faint smile formed on his aging face, "You have to take the gun off safety." He turned towards the rest of the group, "So this everybody?"
Ash lowered his magnum as the firetruck rolled up. Seeing Mark and Kiku the texan lowered his gun. "Yeah this is our group." Walking to the truck he holstered his revolver. He nodded to Mark as the Biker climbed out of the truck. "Please don't fall off the truck." Ash told Dakota and Clementine.
"No we didn't see the singers but this guy seems to know about them." The biker said as he motioned to the man in the back. Ash looked past the biker at the man then to the girls then back at Mark. "Find anything good?"
