Josie's eyes moved to Sarah as she came out with the coffee in just handing it to Thad without another word. She looked at Sarah for a long time as Sarah kept her eyes on Thad. There was something she was missing in all this, but when she heard Sarah talking about food, she was a bit put off.
"I don't think she likes me very much." She wrapped her hands around herself as she felt a bit of a cold nip in the morning air. Soon they wouldn't even be wearing jackets, but for now, the cooler breeze kept that summer heat at bay. When he spoke about not having any evidence that these raiders may not be the same ones that killed her family she scoffed and got a bit more hostile with him.
"What? You're telling me you don't know these raiders are the same, really Thad?" She shook her head and stepped back away from him. "They are the same. I know they are. I've seen them out there and have been chased by them. They're the same." She listened to him for a few minutes and he suggested she take people with her and talk to Sarah about this. The same one that said absolutely nothing to her and Thad about breakfast. She didn't know Thad was sleeping in Sarah's bed on occasion so it gave her no other reason to wonder why the woman didn't like her.
"I'm not going to compromise the farm, I promise." She turned away from him and walked off in a bit of a huff. The call of breakfast, she believed was open, made her go back to the house. Back at the porch, she looked up between everyone as she stepped up.
"Anyone seen Garrett yet?" She would talk to him. Maybe Thad wanted to keep things cool but maybe there was an ally to be had in him.
