Nicks Injuries:
Nine nails that are one inch long shot randomly in his body. One is in his left eye, one is in his right upper thigh, the last known one is in his left shoulder
Also he has a busted lip and other injuries of course.
A knife through the left or right palm that went into the arm of the chair keeping his hand there.
Oh and the razor blade / barbed wired braclefs on his wrist and ankles
They race along the wall, being shot at along the way from the ground but their speed allowed them to dodge the bullets. They made it to the first corner tower, where Dawson and Seth began to unload on the five guards that were present. They continue past the tower and along the wall as Kara points out the motor pool and speeds up, demanding cover while she hot wires a truck. Seth nods his head as he takes out a man climbing up the tower behind them.
They continue along the wall as some men appear in the distance, now on board the wall train. They were getting better shots. More clear. And they were zooming past the groups faces. It wasn't safe to sit still. So they continued down the wall. Close to the motor pool. Seth wasn't fearful of what could happen. They were already in the middle of a shit storm. There was no turning back. He was only fearful that they did this for nothing. They were never sure that Nick was even here. As far as he's concerned, they just attacked an enemy base who knew nothing of their existence. And it was for a possibility. But the kind of guy he is. And type of people he lives with. They had to make sure. They've all been through something like this. They know it's necessary to kill in order to survive. To kill as well as to place yourself in danger positions.
As dangerous as it is running along the wall, it was very necessary. Without the height of the wall, they would of never knew where to run. As they come to the end of the wall towards another tower, there were 4 men unloading their clips on the group. But the entire crew gets the kills. All working in sync to shoot them down. And with that short victory, the clear a path to the ladder. They begin to climb down with Kara in front, then Dawson, then Seth with Ben being the last one. Seth lands on his feet as the three on the ground quickly survey the area.

Joseph had just finished searching another empty room when he heard Dean's voice calling out to him, saying he'd found Nick. Running over, he'd just entered when he stopped, dead in his tracks...and saw just how badly Nick had been....tortured, was the only word that came to his mind. "My God," Joseph whispered, joining Dean, who was fighting hard not to go into a blind rage over what had happened to Nick. To Joseph's trained medical eye, it looked for all the world like Nick was right on the edge between the living and the dead and for the briefest of moments he actually wondered if he would be able to save him or not....he soon put those thoughts out of his mind and started going through his mind everything he'd need to do to care for Nick. First, though, on his mind, was freeing Nick from the torture chair he was in.
Setting his revolver and lever-action down on the floor, Joseph took off his long=sleeve shirt and began ripping it into strips with his trench knife. "Dean," he said quietly, "we've got to get all this shit off of him," pausing to wrap his hands in his now-shredded shirt, "starting with this razor wire." Slowly, carefully, he began extricating the razor wire from around Nick's wrists, pausing every so often to check his own fingers and hands to make sure he didn't shred himself in the process. "Easy, Nick," he whispered every so often, using another strip of shirt to wipe around Nick's eyes and mouth, stopping to wipe the occasional tear from his own as he thought to himself, what goddamn motherfucking sonuvabitch could do this to someone? adding and when I get a hold of him, killing him would be too fucking easy, that's for sure! Slowly, he undid the razor wire from both of Nick's wrist, pausing once more to do a quick pulse and breathing check. "Still with us, Nick?" he asked, moving down to repeat the same slow, inexorable work to untangle the razor wire from Nick's ankles.
That done, Joseph said to Dean as he began looking around Nick to see what next to do, "Dean, I've been to a few places where torture was done to others...but at least in those places I could understand the reasoning behind it. But this? This?!? I tell you, Dean," finishing up the blood sweep and reaching over to begin working the knife out from Nick's palm, "when I get a hold of whoever did this....all I'm gonna say about it is that whoever did this to Nick will be praying for a quick death after I'm done with him, I can tell you that." Joseph's voice betrayed no emotion over that whatsoever; it was as cold a voice as he'd ever spoken to someone in his life. After several minutes of work, he finally pulled the knife from Nick's palm and tossed it aside; wrapping his hand in another strip of shirt, Joseph quickly examined the nail gun injuries. "Dean, I can't get the nails out here; I'll have to do it back at the Hampton," pausing again to wrap the last bit of shirt strip around Nick's face, covering his dead eye. "Wait here a sec," he added, getting up and walking back outside the room.
Whistling to the others, he quickly gave out a couple of orders. "We found Nick but he's in bad shape; we gotta' get topside and get a vehicle right now! I need someone to help Dean carry Nick outside; the rest of you, watch our asses." Walking back inside, he said to Dean, "Let's get him out of this chair and get up topside, okay," adding sotto voce, "Dean, I'm going to be frank here....I'll do everything I can to save him, but with his injuries and everything, I can't make any promises, but you have my word, I will do everything I can for him...alright?" After a moment he said in a regular tone of voice, "Now, let's get him out of here, okay?"

Dean watched as Joseph got closer, part of him felt better, when he walked n the room, because he had the right medical knowledge, but his other part was still in panic while feeling sad and broken. Dean nodded as Joseph told him they had to get all of the stuff out of Nick. “Y…ye…yes.” He said as tears streamed down his face. “Please Jo, you have to help him, I can’t lose him.” He added.
Dean then his best to help Joseph, first they removed the razor wire. “Stay with us sweetie, we’ll help you.” Dean spoke softly as his tears kept coming. He saw how Joseph did his best to stay strong, but even he cried, while trying to take care of Nick. When the razor wire was gone Joseph if Nick was still with them, but he was still out. Dean placed two fingers in his neck, to feel his pulse. “I feel his heartbeat.” He spoke. “Thank god I do.” He added.
Dean looked at Joseph as he said what he would do to the bastard who did this to Nick. Dean just nodded as he kept watching Nick, while tears ran down his face. Dean would torture the person who did this, but he wasn’t thinking about that, for now he just wanted is boyfriend to be safe, alive, his fighting spirit was broken, he felt defeated. So for now he didn’t think of revenge, but if they would be able to safe Nick, the person who did this would regret doing what he did.
For the next part he got the knife out of Nick his hand, as he did it, Nick made a little sound. “Nick, Nicky, sweetie, can you hear me?” Dean asked as he got closer. But Nick didn’t say a word, Dean figured he was mostly put, with very small parts of actually being conscious.
Dean looked at Joseph as he said he couldn’t remove the nails here. “We have to leave those in him?” Dean asked in disbelief. But he was in no mood to argue, besides Jo had the right medical knowledge. All Dean wanted was to get Nick out and safe his live.
Dean waited for Joseph to get back, since he was warning the others to watch their backs. When he got back he told Dean to get Nick out of the chair and Dean nodded. But then he stopped Dean, he listened to Jo as he explained he would try everything to help Nick, but also added he was in bad shape. “You have to Jo, I can’t live without him.” Dean said as he felt tears leaving his eyes again. “We will save him!” he added. Then he wiped off his tears and nodded as Jo said to get going, Dean pulled himself togetehr and knew he had to focus. Dean carefully grabbed Nick his arm and put it around his shoulder, while Jo did the same with the other arm. Nick made little sounds, but Dean didn’t try to communicate, for now they had to get out as soon as possible, every second counted. So they slowly made their way to the door. “Let’s go, every second counts, hurry!” Dean yelled to the others.
Running towards the group of vehicles she had pointed out to Seth and the others, Kara had to drop to the ground several times to avoid getting hit by gunfire which seemed to be pouring from every which direction imaginable. Ducking behind one vehicle, Kara had just caught her breath when she caught sight of a shadow to her side; rolling to one side, she fired several shots from her .45, dropping the Waltonville inhabitant to the ground....as she got up, another person she hadn't seen rushed her from behind, crashing the two of them into the ground, the Waltonvillian on top of Kara.
For several minutes the two - Kara and the Waltonvillian - fought a no-holds-barred, fight-to-the-death, neither one of the women letting up one moment...eventually, Kara thought, Enough of this shit! and punched her square in the gut, dropping her to the ground before delivering the coup de grace with a .45 to the head of the Waltonvillian. "Stick around and watch this, bitch," Kara whispered as she finally got to one of the trucks; opening the door quietly, she climbed in and began working on hotwiring it, pausing every so often to look around and make sure no one - human or walker - was trying to sneak up on her.
For several minutes, it was pull out a wire or two, see if it started the engine - pause occasionally to mutter a curse word - and try another wire....after about fix or six muttered attempts, she heard the engine begin to roar and thought, Oh, you're just a sexy beast, aren't you? as she closed the truck door; before she did that, however, she stood on the driver's side running board and yelled over to where she thought Seth and the others were. "Seth, over here!" she yelled several times...."over here, Seth!"
Zac and Aki had to split up as much as he hated it. He nodded as Aki spoke and his words meant a lot to him, he knew they could always count on each other. Aki ended their conversation with telling him to sat safe. “You too.” He replied, giving his shoulder a slight squeeze before letting go. Meanwhile Nadia ad joined them and offered to help. Zac shook his head, he wished she would have just stayed inside, she was going to get herself killed. “Sweetheart, it’s really kind you want to help, but I don’t think it’s your battle.” He spoke. “That’s why I tried to advise you to stay inside.” He added. “Have to admit, it always nice to see people care and are willing to help.” Zac spoke.
He heard how Aki started to give her orders and he knew he would keep an eye on her. So he just rushed off and followed his own orders. Zac gathered as much of his men as he could and explained their task was to block both end to Main Street. He watched his squad preparing everything, but it just didn’t feel right leaving Aki like this, a weird feeling came over Zac. They had been split up more than once, but in different occasion, this was full on war and what if he wasn’t there to help him when he needed him most. His men gathered in front of him, ready and waiting for Zac to join. “Fuck it.” Zac spoke softly to himself. “You do as I asked you, block both exits to Main Street, call me on the walkie when everything is taken care of.” Zac spoke to his men. “I have other business to attend to.” He added.
Zac his men nodded and knew they had an important task, but then again Zac trusted all of them, not like he trusted Aki, but he knew they would get the job done, even without him. Zac then turned around and started to head back in the direction of Aki, it would take awhile to get there, but Zac ran as fast as he could.

As both Dean and Joseph carried Nick's unconscious body between them, Joseph explained why he opted not to take the nails out of Nick's body right there in the torture room. "Dean, right now, those nails are the only thing keeping Nick from bleeding out right here and now...the nail to the right upper thigh worries me the most," pausing to take his .44, which was in his free hand, and shoot a guard that'd made the fatal mistake of walking towards them. "Judging by the location of that one nail, it could be either right on the femoral artery or it might've hit the femoral artery, in which case once I take it out of him back at the Hampton," pausing to open a door at the end of the hall, "I'll have maybe 90 seconds to clamp the artery down to stop the bleeding," pausing again as he shot another person nearby.
"That's why I didn't remove the nails from Nick's body; they're acting as plugs, the same way you plug a hole in a dike and the plug keeps the water from rushing through...well, that's what those nails are doing; they're holding the blood inside him. Doesn't mean I want to leave them in him; I just don't want to lose Nick here by removing them, understood?"
Hadley was standing watch while the others figured out what to do about Nick's injuries. "Whatever you two decide, I would make it quick. That distraction at the gate wont last much longer."

Hearing Hadley remind them that they were still on a timeline, Joseph looked over at Dean as they continued to carry Nick between them and said, "We better get a move on then." Looking around, he pointed to one of Seth's people and pointed to the door. "Grab the door and hold it open for us; we gotta' go, gotta' go!" Time was now of the essence, he mused, and to him, the sooner they got out of Waltonville, the better chance they'd have of saving Nick.
Hadley suddenly realized something, "Both of you get Nick out of here. I cant believe I didn't see it before. Contact Seth and the others. Something's not right. Even with everything going on there should have been some guards standing here. I doubt Walton wouldn't just forget to put any here without setting us up for a trap. I'm going to scout ahead, you just get Nick out of here."

"Hadley's right, Dean," Joseph said, grasping the line of thought Hadley was speaking of. "There should've been more opposition here...son of a bitch," muttering a few more choice words under his breath. "Hadley, go on ahead and start raising whatever hell you can; just buy us enough time to link up with Seth and his crew so we can then get the hell outta' here," he said, adding, "Hey, thanks for helping us, alright?" Something told Joseph that the next time they'd see Hadley, they'd be seeing her body and not a living, breathing person, so he figured, why not thank her for helping us? Looking back over at Dean, he said, "Let's go, Dean; we've got to get Nick outta' here."

As Aki and his men scaled the ladder on one end of the wall, the intruders were already rushing towards the ladder on the other side. Aki climbed up the ladder and reached the top of the wall, taking a moment to steady himself on the high expanse before he started down the wall at the vacating group. He could hear his men behind him, some climbing the ladder, some still on the ground. Rival gunfire intermixed in the night, and bullets whizzed past from both parties, on the ground and on the wall. As Aki approached the fleeing party, all of them in sight, heavy footfalls from just beyond the wall caught his ears, and he paused in his stride. He knew that sound well, organized and fast, something he had grown accustomed to hearing at his side every day.
Zac. Running up the middle of the community.
Aki glanced to him, unsure of what this meant. He and his men were to block off Main Street, so for him to be here, Aki didn't know if they had been overtaken, or needed his help. He eyed him for a moment before looking back to the task at hand, and the momentary distraction had allowed half of the group to start down the ladder. Aki cursed under his breath, only one man remaining on the wall, hair pulled back in braids. Gunfire erupted around them, and in an attempt to defend himself, the man fired a shot at Zac from the wall, trying to clear the path easier for his companions on the ground.
Aki watched as the bullet zoomed past, just missing Zac's face, and he shot the man without a second thought. His brains splattered along the wall, raining down on his friends like macabre confetti, and his glasses, broken, went flying off into the distance. His body fell like an anchor from the wall and crashed against the ground. From the top of the wall, Aki could see it all. The destruction, the smoke, the people running around in a worried frenzy. He spotted the rest of the intruders on the ground, fleeing from the wall and into the smoke to try and hide, and he knew that he could have chased them down if he really wanted to. He should have wanted to. He should have wanted to kill them then and there.
And he did. But he also wanted to know that Zac was okay. Needed to know.
He climbed down the ladder and signaled for his men to follow suit, and as they dispersed into the community after the intruders, Aki came up to Zac and looked him over, making sure that he wasn't injured or bitten. "Are you all right?"

Cover all of the men.
Right. Because she was the world's greatest sharp shooter!
All Nadia could do was try. She nodded and did as Aki had ordered, climbed up the wall and shot down what she could, walkers and invaders alike. All she could do was hope she was protecting someone, anyone from the chaos all around them. Everything was happening so quickly and so slowly at the same time, she didn't think she could process it all at once.
When it was over, she lowered the gun, watched as Aki ran to Zac and felt that sharp pang in her chest again.
She was alone again.
No friends, no family, nothing. In spite of everything that had just happened, that small scene was a reminder that she had no one left who trusted her, no one who cared about her, absolutely nothing. And she hated every second of it.
Maybe she should leave. Get her car and just go on the road again. There was a time when the isolation could get so bad, she would curl up into herself and cry for hours and hours. It was selfish, it was weak and she knew it. Those moments helped, at least a little bit, but the pain of being alone wasn't something that would just go away.
It haunted to your the very depths of your soul. Ate away at you and twisted in your heart over and over and over.
Or all of this was just a crash from an adrenaline high she had just been on.
Nadia took a slow, deep breath and tried to push the sudden emotional wave aside. Damn it! She needed to get a grip! Why the hell was she even getting worked up over this? Tired. Yeah, that's it, she was tired. After having two shoot outs and a near invasion on her first day, one was bound to feel a tiny bit emotional. She just hoped she was keeping a good poker face. Never let them see your pain and all that.
Hadley nods, "Don't die and getting Nick out will be enough. Nick is in no condition to take the tunnels so you'll have to go through the main gate. I'm going to have a look around and maybe set some things on fire if I can." She says giving Joseph a playful wink and smile. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have a few choice words to say to the Devil." She says and takes off down the hall way.

Watching as Hadley took off to raise hell throughout Waltonville, Joseph smiled and wished her good luck. Turning to Dean, he nodded towards the exit. "Let's get outside, everyone," he called out to the others, taking a moment to reload his .44 revolver as they waited. "Stick to the shadows and stay right behind us, everyone," Joseph added, looking around to see if he could tell where Seth and his crew were at. Okay, guys, where the hell are you? he kept whispering to himself.

As they all made their way out, Jospegh started talkign to Dean, explaining why the nails couldn’t be removed yet. Dean listened and was about to shoot the guard, but Jospeh beat him to it. When Joseph was done explaning Dean replied. “I know you always have good reasons and i trust you, I was just shocked the nails had to stay, it was cruel for me, but i totally understand.” He replied. “I’m over emotional and i’m not thinkign clear, i just want to get Nick out and make him better.” Dean added in a very sad tone.
Dean nodded again as Jospeh said the needed to hurry, he didn’t say a word, he just walked as fast as he could. Seconds later Hadley said somethign about it was too easy and Jospeh agreed with her. She added that she would scout ahead. Dean just nodded, for now his focus was wuth Nick, he kept watching him, makign sure he was still breathing. He heard Jospeh talking back and forth, but didn’t really listened, he kept his focus on Nick. "Stay with us sweetie, i'm right here." he spoke very softly looking at Nick
He looked at Jospeh as he oncem ore told Dean to keep going. Dean nodded and continued his fast pace, while Jospeh comanded the others.
Hadley, dint just want the place to burn, after all buildings can be rebuilt. She wanted to destroy Walton's reputation. In order to do that however, she had to find something that was believable enough to plant that seed of doubt into everyone's minds. And that meant finding proof, from Walton's office. She snuck around as she looked for the door, to his office, keeping an eye out for other guards.
Zac finally reached the centre of the community. He looked around, his eyes searching for Aki, while trying to avoid gunfire. Zac was so distracted, because he was looking for Aki, that he didn’t even notice, a man aiming for him. Just then the man fired his gun, for Zac it was like that moment was in slow motion. The flew past him, barely missing his face. “Fuck.” He spoke while ducking. He looked at the man and saw a bullet hitting him, killing him instantly. Zac looked in the direction of the bullet and there he finally saw Aki. Zac sighed in relief, happy that Aki was safe.
He noticed Aki coming down the ladder, making his way over. So he waited as he kept his gun raised, looking around. As Aki reached him, he asked if Zac was ok. Zac lowered his gun and looked at him. “Yeah, I’m fine, how are things here, are you ok?” he asked.
But he knew he had some explaining to do. “The reason I’m here is simple.” Zac started. “Splitting up with you felt wrong, we stick together, take care of each other, no one is going to change that.” Zac spoke. “I ordered my men to block the entrances to main street, I’m sure the job is done by now, they don’t need my help.” He added. “You don’t need it either, but like I said it just felt wrong, I wouldn’t forgive myself, I wouldn’t be there to have you back.” He spoke as he looked at Aki.
He then grabbed Aki his hand, crossing thumbs, making a fist, before pulling him closer and placing his hand on Aki his back, slowly patting him. “Thanks for sort of saving my life, by the way.” Zac said before letting go. “Good to know, that as always we can count on each other.” He added. “Same goes for me, I’ll always be there when you need me.” He spoke making eye contact, just staying quiet for a brief moment. “Now let’s get this place cleared out.” He spoke looking at Aki.
In the midst of trying to wave down Seth and his group, Kara ducked down to avoid being hit by what was starting to become an increasingly heavy amount of fire from the now-hornet's nest angry inhabitants of Waltonville; as she got back up, she caught sight of Joseph and his crew slowly making their way along an outside wall. Thank you, Jesus, thank you, Jesus, she whispered several times over. "Hey!" Kara yelled at them, pausing to help one of Seth's crew into the back of the truck; looking at him, she said, "Keep an eye out for Seth and the rest of his people," before turning back around and yelling several more times for Joseph and his people, all the while thinking, Please, God, let him hear me....please.
On second thought, it might not be the best idea. But she had to stop all this. She thinks a moment then gets a better idea, and makes her way back to the gate.
Shauna Kelly: That helped, thank you
