Hadley nods and leads them to the pipes. As they crawl through the space and make their way to find Nick, Hadley looks back at Dean, "So any clues as to what room he might be in?"

Aki nodded and moved towards his house with him. He had spent many an evening there, decompressing with him and shooting back whiskey. Zac didn't smoke, but he didn't mind when Aki lit up next to the window during their conversations. And if there was ever a night that Aki needed to relax and unwind with his friend, this was it. He didn't know what Nadia planned to do, if she drank or smoked, but even then, he wanted to speak with Zac plainly. It would have to wait for when she took a shower or went to bed. Aki was patient and he could hold his emotions in a tight grip, on those rare occasions that he felt anything at all. This incident with Hawk had been unexpected and caught him off guard, but everything about the stranger had been.
Aki followed Zac into his house, already feeling better to be inside a familiar place. He liked to always be on his guard and be alert, so he never got drunk, but tonight he might allow himself an extra drink. He would find something for Zac on their next run, he always did. He trailed after Zac and stuck behind him, one hand coming up to rub his forehead and will away the headache that was quickly forming.
In a way, he almost felt bad for Nadia. When they had recruited her, he hadn't anticipated for the escape of the girls, for Walton's snap decisions. He hadn't been expecting someone to come to his doorstep and make lustful threats about his daughter, to murder him in cold blood right in front of her. She hadn't been expecting this. She hadn't been prepared for this. But this was the world now, and so any semblance of guilt that he had evaporated.
Aki came to rest against the door frame, his eyes watching Zac closely. "Some night, huh?" He shifted and crossed his arms over his chest, lowered his voice. "Thanks for having my back back there. For always having my back." He pushed off of the frame and came to pat him on the shoulder. "I'll have yours, always."
(Sorry to people-move you two, I wanted to get them all to safety before the gates blew ^^)

As they walked through the tunnels Dean was focused. But he was also angry and brave, the angry part was because it took so damn long, before they even got here. He walked as fast as he could, he didn’t want Nick a second longer inside, whatever horrible place he was.
He heard Hadley her voice and she picked the wrong moment to ask a dumb question. “How would I know where he is.” Dean said rolling his eyes. “Sorry I forgot to look in my crystal ball.” he added irritated. “We’ll burn the whole place if we have to, but we will find it.” He spoke while keeping the fast pace up.
Aki, Nadia and Zac all walked towards Zac his house, it was time for some well deserved rest. But first, he really would need to talk to Aki, just check on him. But this time, it would be harder since Nadia was there. It would be different from all the previous nights and evenings they spent in his house, since there was a plus one now. There were evenings they just joked around, but they also had some pretty deep talks, but all this was part of their strong bond. So Zac wouldn’t let a plus one stop him from talking to Aki, he needed to be there for his friend. There was a chance though, that Nadia would be tired and just wanted some time alone to possess everything that just happened, but if not, he would just, make his own private moment.
Zac tossed his jacket on the char as he walked in, it was something he mostly did. He turned around as he heard Aki his voice. “Yeah crazy right?” he spoke with a warm smile. He then heard how he lowered his voice and thanked him for having his back, before walking over patting him on the shoulder and telling Zac, he would always have his back. He smiled “I know that mate.” He spoke in a serious tone. He then grabbed Aki his hand, like he was about to arm wrestle, but pulled him into a hug, while using his other hand to softly pat him on back. “I’m here for you, I always will, I would even give my life for you, never forget.” He softly spoke.
Then he backed out and just looked into Aki his eyes for a couple seconds, letting him know how serious he was. “Now let’s get a drink.” He spoke with a little smile. “Think you can use it right?” he added. He looked over Aki his shoulder to Nadia. “Bathroom is just down the hall ,if you want to get cleaned up, if not then do whatever you want.” He spoke.
Hadley glares at him, "Alright. There's a room just up here. You can go first. That way we know to run by your screams out in pain, when you get head blown off. If we are going to do this we need to do this right. There are only so many places here where the acoustics in the room Nick is in that could have been amplified by that amount. " She huffs as she looks back at the map, "Let's try here." She says as she pushes on a rock and they enter the cellar of the local tavern.

Alcohol sounded nice right about now. Definitely a bourbon kind of a day. Or whiskey. She was fine with either one honestly. A pale ale sounded wonderful right about now. But what she wanted and what they actually had were two completely different things. And one learned not to be too picky during the apocalypse. Did this place even have a fully stocked tavern? She didn’t think she had seen one on her way in. Then again, with all the chaos going on, the last thing she was going to be checking for was the local watering hole.
“Thanks.” She replied to Zac, offering a small smile and a nod of her head in appreciation. Good to know this place had hot water at the very least. Even the most fully stocked forts didn’t seem to have that luxury anymore, or so she had heard anyway. People would say all sorts of crazy things these days to keep themselves safe from this and that. “But if it’s okay with you guys, would you mind if I joined you for that drink first? I think we all need to take the edge off after everything that just happened.”
Maybe she would even be bold enough to have two drinks instead of one! Yep, definitely living on the edge tonight.

Aki accepted Zac's hug, and he patted his back in return. Zac told him that he'd give his life for him, and the feeling was mutual. They both knew it as they shared a stare. Back on the road, when he had thought that the fallen street lamp had crushed him to death, it only reaffirmed that he had quickly become one of the only people in Aki's life that mattered. "I'd do the same, and I won't be forgetting any time soon."
At the mention of a drink, Aki smirked in appreciation and nodded, though Nadia's voice gave him pause. He still wasn't used to this, a woman among their ranks. He was used to it being just him and Zac, and with the admittance of a new person, a new woman, he didn't know how to act. He had always been shit with women, lacking the sensitivities to engage in anything more than just the physical. He looked over his shoulder to her and nodded his understanding, though he looked to Zac before he gave an answer. It wasn't his call to make.
"What do you think?" He leaned on the table with his hip, crossing his arms over his chest. "Your house, your call." He had a feeling that Zac wasn't going to say no, but if he did, it was his choice to make. Aki would back him up regardless. Though, he had to agree that they all had had a rough night and needed to relax. If Nadia was going to be staying with them, it was only appropriate that she get to know her new roommates. But at the same time, Aki wouldn't be opposed to spending time alone with Zac, either. He was his best friend, and after the day that they had had, they needed to decompress.
And besides that, whiskey was hard to come by in this new world. He couldn't fault Zac for not wanting to share, but he couldn't fault Nadia for wanting a sip of the past, either. All Aki knew was that regardless of his answer, he was making sure to snag a glass. He'd pay Zac back later.

Shaking Joseph's hand could of been the last handshake for Seth, but his heroic attitude was willing to take this risk. For some good people. Good men that don't deserve to suffer. Looking at Joseph's group one last time as they wondered off, Seth walked back up the hill where the truck sat. He nodded to Ben, Dawson and Kara to wait at the bottom of the hill as he waits a second, looking in the mirror to check behind him.
On their way to Waltonville, the group had ran across a small herd of about a dozen walkers just roaming through the tree line on the side of the road. So Seth had the idea to slow down a bit to allow them to follow so that when they blew the gates and entered the community, they wouldn't be the only targets. Now with the herd behind the truck, Seth pressed the petal and started his way down the hill, jumping and rolling out of the truck at the bottom of the hill as it ran into the gate and with no hesitation, blowing it up.
The gate was destroyed with the men on the walls near it flying back, the explosion hitting everything within it's radius. The men from within who didn't get hit with the blast but were still near the entrance, flinched in reaction, holding their ears and closing their eyes. And in that instant, Seth and his group gripped their weapons and headed in dodging the debris trying to find cover. "Guys! While they're distracted with the herd we need to make our way on the top of the wall. Stay on the far side to avoid being shot but keep a look out for the motor pool! Go go go!" He said pushing them by as they avoid being seen by most of the men in front of the entrance with a few seeing them but getting shot down by Seth and Ben.
Seth then turns to the ladder as the others climb up. He waits for a second before hearing a man scream in horror as the first walker enters the community, eating away at the side of his face as they begin to panic and shoot furiously at the oncoming herd who seemed to pick up stragglers who were near and heard the explosion.

Entering what appeared to be a cellar of sorts inside Waltonville, Joseph brought his lever-action around and took it off from over his shoulder, crawling over to what looked like a corner where what looked like a corridor led down somewhere - whether it would lead to Nick, he didn't know but from what Hadley had told them as they made their way inside the stronghold, either they were in the same building or damn near close to it, he figured. "Okay, guys, come on," he whispered, waving them frantically over to him....
(from outside the cellar) BOOM!!!
Suddenly, what sounded like the proverbial thunderbolt from hell erupted outside; after a moment, Joseph grinned. Kara's plan worked, he mused, sonuvabitch, it worked! Pointing down the corridor, he said, "Folks, we're on a timeclock, so we gotta' move. Everyone, let's go, we got someone to rescue!" Turning the corner, Joseph drew down on a man walking around the opposite-end corner, dropping him with a shot to the knee; as the man rose, he drilled him with a second shot to the head. Running down to the other end of the corridor, he began shouting to the others, "C'mon, let's go, let's go!" Mentally, he began whispering, "Hang on, Nick, we're coming for you, buddy...just hang on!"

Hadley once more used her big mouth, Dean knew she only wanted to help, but this wasn’t the best time to work on his nerves. “You know what?” He said looking at her. “I’m just going to ignore you and focus on getting Nick out, I might be the one causing problems, because I’m on edge, but it’s your fault to push me further.” He spoke angry. “So let….” But before e could finish his sentence a loud bang was heard.
Dean knew what that meant, the other part of the plan had worked. He looked at Joseph as he said they were on a clock now. “We certainly do!” he yelled as Jo yelled they needed to rescue someone. As he ran behind Jo, he grabbed his gun from the holster and was ready to kill anyone who got in his way. They ran into a guy, but Joseph took care of him. He heard Joseph yelling. “Right behind you.” He spoke.
Just then two guard came running at them. Dean raised his gun and since he was a good shot, killed them both with a head shot. He didn’t doubt a second, they wanted to stop him from saving Nick and that wouldn’t happen. Then he just kept running behind Joseph, while thinking of Nick, hoping they would find him soon, alive.
Zac smiled at Aki as he heard he would do the same and wouldn’t forget about it. “I know.” He spoke calm slightly smiling. Zac his eyes then went to Nadia, who thanked him. Immediately after that, she asked if it was ok that she joined them for a drink. He then turned back to Aki as he asked him what he thought, he added it was his house, so his call. “You know, my home is yours, but thanks for letting me decide.” Aki replied to Aki with a smile. He looked at Nadia as he thought about it. Zac had to admit it felt weird, he was so used to just have Aki, their usual talks, their jokes, just their special bond. It would be weird to have to share that with someone, besides he wanted some time to talk to Aki alone, see how he was holding up, be there for him. But then again after an evening like this who wouldn’t want a drink.
Zac then finally came up with a compromise. “Alright, it’s ok that you join, but I have a couple conditions.” He spoke but still smiling a bit to let her know, he wasn’t angry or anything. Honestly he was too tired to be the stern douche, he mostly was. “First, don’t drink too much, I want to have some whiskey left, after this little party.” He spoke. “Second, later on, I need to speak to my friend in private, so I would appreciate it, if you don’t stay with us the whole time.” He spoke looking at her. “Deal?” he asked with a smile. Then he looked back at Aki, just smiling at him.
Hearing Seth's order, Kara headed down to the bottom of the hill with Ben and Dawson, hoping like hell her fast-rope explosives job worked; watching the truck come flying down the hill, she kept whispering, C'mon on, c'mon on...
It hit the front gate and exploded, blowing itself into a thousand pieces, shredding anything - building structures, the front gate, people - caught in the explosive blast and shrapnel. After waiting a few moments for the ringing in her ears to stop, she wondered for a moment if Seth had gotten out of the truck in time when...
Gripping her .45 in her hand - she'd left her assault rifle back at the top of the hill, in Joseph's truck - Kara made her way, up and over the wall; off in the near distance, she heard someone screaming and thought, you poor bastard, and looked around, trying to orient herself and begin looking for the motor pool. Suddenly, she saw one of Walton's guards rush her; without hesitating, she pulled a throwing knife from her hip holster and threw it, nailing the man square in the neck and dropping him; low-walking over, she delivered a coup de grace to him with a bullet to the head and retrieved her knife, wiping the blood off before re-holstering it. Looking around, she saw what looked like a bunch of vehicles off to one side; seeing the mass confusion that had erupted everywhere inside Waltonville, she yelled to Seth, "Over there, towards those sheds...there's a bunch of vehicles next to them. I'm going to try and hotwire one of the trucks; tell Ben or Dawson to cover me while I'm over there!" pausing to drop another Waltonville guard as she waited for an opportunity to run over and at least try to hotwire one of the vehicles..

Aki smiled back, but before he had a chance to respond to anything that Zac had said, a loud boom erupted through the complex. His smile dropped, and without missing a beat, he grabbed his gun and headed to the door. He knew that Zac would be in toe, and if Nadia decided to stay inside, he wouldn't have been offended. She could come if she wanted, but he didn't know yet if he could rely on her for backup. He moved with quick steps to the front door, an irritated scowl on his face. What the fuck now?
He slipped out of the house, taking cover behind a pillar on the porch, and his face dropped at the sight. The gate as gone, and the towers had either been totally decimated or were on their way there. Smoke and debris billowed throughout the community, and terrified screams erupted from where the gate once stood. He didn't see anybody, not yet, but as walkers poured into the community, someone got attacked. Their scream shot through the night, and as it pierced Aki's ears, it triggered something in him. He was in Japan again, another time, another world. A killer, ruthless. A machine. Immediately, he narrowed his eyes and scanned the surrounding area for Walton. He didn't see him just yet, but he saw the armed men beginning to rush out into the street. Without missing a beat, he fired a shot at a walker that was shambling a little faster than the others with expert precision before turning to the scrambling men.
"We need to seal that hole." His voice commanded respect, and no one argued with him as he gave his orders. He didn't know where Walton had vanished to, but he'd be damned if someone destroyed his home. He ran with these men, fought with these men, and knew they would listen. "I want two armed trucks parallel to the breach. We need to block off the incoming walkers. Any in the community get dealt with, any bitten get put down. We find the fuckers who did this and we handle it. Now go."
He watched the men scatter like roaches, and he looked to Zac with fury in his eyes. He nodded at him, trusted his presence, and he rushed from Zac's house towards a parked car. He hid behind it and popped up only long enough to kill the incoming walkers, a few seconds at a time. Some were on fire, a present from Hawk. Bastard. But the screams continued to arise from within the community, fear and terror electric in the air. Aki pursed his lips, his blood boiling, and as the armed trucks drove to plug the breach, Aki stole away from behind the car and rushed to the next safe spot. He hid behind the wall of a home, and as he heard the guards open fire, he knew that they had finally reached the decimated gate. The walkers went down, riddled with panicked bullets, and a few of the attacked citizens cried out from the ground.
Between the fire from those defending the community, they cleared the remaining walkers quickly, but that was only the beginning. Aki peeked out from behind the wall just in time to see a bullet whiz onto the scene and take out one of his men. Aki growled at the sight, and he immediately started glancing around for its source. "Hostile fire," he warned Zac.
Nick was out as Walton began shining his tools of torture, but just then, an explosion happened. A loud bang. From within the community. Walton dropped what he was holding and immediately darted towards the stare case and made his way above ground. Davey was there with a few of his men ready to enter the streets. "What the hell is happening?" Walton asked as he put on his coat and grabbed his sub machine gun from the mount and put the clip in, preparing for a fight.
Shots were being echoed throughout the community. Something was going on, and questioning it wouldn't solve the problem. He figured Hadley wouldn't be foolish enough to show her mug around Waltonville again, but he was prepared to kill anyone who threatened his community. Danger within his community drove him to places he's not meant to be. "Anyone you don't recognize...kill them." He spoke with such a stern voice as he and his group made their way onto the stairs of Walton's Quarters, looking on at the smoke filling the sky. He knew almost instantly that the gate was gone. Too much smoke right where that front wall stood. Somebody was in the community, and he wanted to know who.
Davey and the others walked onto the street all scouting over the panicked citizens trying to point out something out of the ordinary. Walton surveyed his community. Hearing the god awful scream come from the other side, set him off. He ran off the steps and turned a corner, but he didn't see walkers. No. He had a good eye view of the west wall. And on it were not his men. Rather foreign strangers scaling the wall, getting a good view over his community. Looking for something.
He turned and looked at the five men with Davey. "You five, get back into my quarters and protect it. Davey, you come with me." The men nod, turning around to the door as Walton and Davey head down the street, but before they get far, Mrs. Anna came running at them. "There's people in the building next to the orchard! Not our people, they shot a guard." Walton nodded and without saying a word headed that way, grabbing a couple (four) guards along the way to help he and Davey out as they got to the front door. He quickly opened the door as all six enter the front room, scaling it viciously for their targets. Just then, Davey points out the cellar door that appears to be opened.
"Walton, you stay up here just in case. It's dark in there." said one of his guards. And just hearing that put a look of disgust on his face as he pulled up his revolver and shot his man in the head. He was no longer interested in his saftey. These people threatened the one thing he's fought so hard to build. A healthy community. And if there's people in the damn cellar, he's going to find them. And he's going to kill them.
Davey and the others look in awe as the man's head lays in a pool of blood. Walton pushes past them and enters the cellar. He knew of this cellar. It lead to the next house. And looking visibly throughout the room, and at the dead guards at the end of it, he knew that whoever was there, went out the other way. So that's two different groups in his community. Why though? This group was already knees deep in the community while the first had to blow the gate. But where did they come from?
"Find them!" He said turning around and exiting the cellar. He didn't take any men with him this time. Instead he pulled out his sub and slowly exited the building. He knew they're headed to the biggest building in the community. Walton's Quarters. Could it be because of the boy he tortured? Did his group come to rescue him? All of these questions race through his brain as he takes out his walkie. "Enemies have been spotted on the west wall going towards the corner tower on the far end. And another group have been spotted near the orchards. Zac, I want you a group of men blocking both ends of Main Street. The one street that's a straight shot through the community. Aki, I want you and a group high up. Davey, you and your group get to the motor pool. That's the only available exit. And I'll be in my quarters, I want some men to meet me there."
[OOC: Basically, I assume that Joseph's group will kill the five already in Walton's Quarters, and eventually find Nick. Before Walton even gets there. In one of the bottom floor offices, there's a window they can all escape through and from there the Motor Pool is really close. Seth and his group as well as Joseph's group could all get there before Davey and his crew show up and have a clean escape. Any questions, pm in the group message."

(OOC: That sounds about right, Walton, the order of what should happen now that the front gate has gone ka-blammo...)Having re-slung his lever-action over his shoulder, Joseph made his way through the cellar corridors, the rest of the group following him. Sneaking up behind another guard whose attention was diverted to everything going on outside, he swung the butt of his revolver down on the man's head, striking him with enough force to crack the man's skull with a sickening crunch. Not taking any chances, he then proceeded to hit him several more times to make sure he'd stay down.
Satisfied the man was now worm food and only worm food, Joseph looked around; by his count, they'd killed at least four guards but still he wasn't sure if they had gotten all of them downstairs. Whistling for the others, he leaned around the corner and saw a bunch of rooms; for a moment he couldn't decide which of the rooms might contain Nick inside of them.....then he thought, fuck it, we'll search all of them if we have to in order to find him.
"Dean!" he yelled, "Nick's gotta' be in one of these rooms; watch my back, okay?" Low-crawling to one side of the corridor, he tried to open one of the doors; to his surprise, it opened up....there was nothing inside but a dank, dark, horrifying smell. The smell of torture perhaps? Joseph mused, conjuring up images from mission trips to Central America and having seen, years after they happened, what man could do to his fellow man. "Nick!" he began yelling as he went across the corridor to try the next door, which opened to an empty room. "Nick, where are you?" he yelled out. Looking around again, he yelled, "Dean, help me with opening these doors, okay?" all the while thinking, hang on, Nick, just hang on...
Zac was looking at Aki, smiling and waiting for a response from Nadia as a loud bang was heard. His surviving instincts kicked in and he immediately grabbed his gun. He saw Aki going for the door and would follow him, but first he turned to Nadia. “Stay here and you’ll be safe, I'm not forcing you, just advice.” He said looking at her. Then he followed behind Aki, Zac wasn’t a complete douche, he never killed for fun or would let someone die on purpose, if they didn’t do anything wrong, that’s the reason he warned Nadia.
He saw Zac taking cover behind a pillar and he did the same, but behind a different pillar. He peeked from behind it and saw the big bang, was probably something that exploded and destroyed the gate. Seeing the chaos, the fear of the people, it made him furious. He wanted this place to be safe and someone was messing that up, that person would pay.
Zac blinked a few times to regain his focus and noticed how Aki took out some walkers. He raised his gun and fired four shot, every bullet killing a walker. Zac heard how Aki started to give orders to the men that where close by. “You heard him, now hurry.” Zac added right when Aki finished his last sentence towards the men.
For a brief moment they locked eyes, sharing the same fire inside, as usual Aki and Zac where on the same page, without even sharing words. Zac followed behind Aki as they both took cover behind a parked car. Zac peeked over and saw how the chaos didn’t stop, walkers incoming, innocent people getting killed, while their army was trying to fight off whoever was messing with them. It hurt him to see the community like this, but no time to be sad about it, which wasn’t needed, cause Zac countered those feelings by fighting.
So once more Zac raised his gun and also killed a few walkers, while Aki did the same. Then they want for their next spot, behind a wall. Zac looked over Aki his shoulder, seeing how their men finally cleared out most of the walkers. But that was the small part of the problem that had been solved, the big problem were the people that let the gate explode.
Not shortly after Aki spoke and warned him for hostile fire. “Yeah, I noticed.” He spoke as he kept looking. It was then, Walton his voice was heard from both of their walkies. Zac took cover again behind the wall, to listened to him. His task was to block both entrances to main street, while Aki has a different task. “Consider it done.” He replied.
Then he looked at Aki and placed a hand on his shoulder. “Seems like we need to split up.” He spoke calm. “I know you can take care of yourself, but if you are outmanned, call me over, I don’t care about who gave me orders then, I will come and get you.” Zac spoke as he looked in Aki his eyes. “Like I said, I always have your back.” He added.

And this is why it sucked being the new girl.
No one trusted you worth a damn and you had to prove that weren’t ready to snap at a moments notice and magically decide it would be a great idea to let walkers into the place!
Granted, Walton seemed clear on his way to that if her first sight of the man was any indication.
Goodie!
She listened attentively to Zac’s conditions, chuckling softly at the first one. Alcohol was like gold today. A cheap bottle of booze could get you a lot of things, so it was refreshing to meet a guy who wasn’t so eager to part with his bottle.
“Sounds fair.” She replied, smiling. “Can’t fault a guy for appreciating a good drink. Though I maybe tempted to used the stuff as a glaze for chicken wings in the future.” She teased, winking at him.
The second condition didn’t surprise her. If she wanted to sit on the secret meetings between Pinky and the Brain to take over the world, she was going to have to earn their trust first.
“Deal.” She replied, grasping his large hand into hers and giving it a quick shake before the world around them turned into a chorus of screams. She followed Zac and Aki outside, watching as Aki went from possible biker bad boy to war general in the blink of an eye.
Marines. Had to be the marines. Maybe the Navy? Air Force even. Those were the only things she could think of off the top of her head that would make sense. She had never seen anyone take command as quickly as he did. Hell, that type of command skill was the one thing all would be head chefs would kill to have in their kitchens. Maybe if the world ever got back to normal, she’d see if he was interested in sou chef position.
If the world ever got back to normal.
She didn't know what it was that made her stick by Aki and Zac's side. Instinct she supposed. She followed their lead all the same, hearing Walton’s voice crackle through the radio and shouting commands. Was he still over the edge or had the shock of earlier finally wore off? Maybe he was just over the edge the whole time and the whole place was being run by a crazy person.
Wouldn’t be the first time she heard of such a thing.
She watched as the two exchanged words, a sharp twinge twisting inside her chest. She’d forgotten what it was like, having someone you can trust. A friend, a family member, a lover. She hadn’t realized how much she had missed it. Would she ever have that again? Have people she could greet with a smile and a tight embrace? A passionate kiss? Any of semblance of that seemed worlds away. Eons.
Being lonely was a bitch.
“Let me help.” Nadia said as she stepped forward. “You both know the area better than I do, but I can watch your backs. You both need proof I can be trusted, then let prove myself here and now.”
It wasn’t much, it wouldn’t mean instant, life long trust among new friends, she knew that.
But it was a start.

Walton's voice crackled against the backdrop of the firefight. His words confirmed what Aki had suspected, his eyes already trailing along the walls, looking for shadows in the smoke. He held down the button on his walkie and kept his gaze alert. "Understood." He pocketed the device and straightened his back, eyes trailing down the wall, into the community. His brain was already working overdrive, calculating the best angles to fire from, the best hiding spots to take cover. But as Zac's hand came onto his shoulder, he didn't flinch. He didn't jump. He turned his gaze back to the man, his face a brief reprieve from his work, and listened to what he had to say.
"I know you do. And I know that you can handle yourself. But the same goes for you." Aki didn't like splitting up with Zac. It was rare that it happened, and always necessary, but it never sat well with him. Zac could more than take care of himself, he wouldn't trust him if he couldn't. But being unable to protect him if he ever needed to made him uneasy. "If you find yourself in trouble, just call me and I'll come get you. Be safe."
He squeezed Zac's shoulder once more, but as he turned to walk away, Nadia piped up and said that she wanted to help. Aki frowned, unsure of if she could help them, not because she didn't trust her--and he didn't--but because he was unsure of her level of skill. It wasn't that he didn't want her blood on his hands; Aki's hands had been drenched in blood for a long time, and he saw no reason to stay them now. It was that he didn't want Zac's blood on his hands, or to put himself in danger by depending on her.
"You want to help?" Aki looked into the community, then pointed to a ladder on an opposing wall. "That's where I'm going, and once I'm there, I need to get up on the walls with my men. You'll be safe here. Cover us. You want to prove yourself? Make sure that all of my men come back without any bullet holes. And keep an eye out for any stray walkers. Think you can handle that?"
The squad that Aki was to run with rushed over, and Aki nodded to Zac and Nadia before he moved out with them. "Keep a clear eye, boys. I don't think I need to tell you what'll happen if this community falls." In formation, they made their way to the opposing wall, ducking for cover behind walls and cars. Together, they moved to the wall, and in the distance, he saw what appeared to be shadows, four of them, running along the wall. With his men, and hopefully Nadia, covering him, he started up the ladder with his squad.

Dean followed Joseph and stayed as close as he could, that way he could protect him and the other way around. He knew Jo for a long time and he was the only one he trusted, to have his back. They sneaked up on a guard and Joseph finished him with a knock on the head with the back of his gun, Dean heard the crack. He was almost enjoying, seeing them die, but the other art of him knew that it wasn’t their fault either. So he would only kill those in their way, not go hunt for anyone, all he wanted was Nick.
As Dean thought about Nick, he just stood still, he hoped he would be ok. He snapped out of his thought, when he heard Joseph yelling his name. He rushed over to his side and nodded as he asked to watch his back. “Right behind you Jo.” He replied.
He covered him as he opened doors, but none of the rooms he picked, were the right ones. Meanwhile he yelled for Nick and Dean did the same. He nodded as Joseph asked him to help opening doors, instead of covering him. “I was thinking the same.” He replied. “Nick!” he yelled as loud as he could, making his way toward another door. He opened it, raising his gun, but it was clear, seemed like a storage. But Dean didn’t think of taking anything, he needed to find Nick. “Nick, you in here!” he yelled. “Please let him be in here.” He added speaking softly.
The next door he opened, was finally the good one. As it opened, he was happy to see Nick, but devastated, sad and angry to see the shape he was in. He saw blood, a lot of it too, he noticed all the wounds. He didn’t doubt a moment and got closer. “Joseph in here!” He yelled, the pain of seeing his boyfriend like this, clearly hearable in his voice. Dean was fighting his tears as he made his way over. “Nick, I’m here.” He yelled.
As he reached Nick, he couldn’t believe what he saw. Nails in his body and even one in his left eye, besides the blood and all that, Nick wasn’t moving and seemed out. “No, no, no.” Dean said as he started panicking, he quickly put two fingers in his neck to feel his pulse and was relieved to feel a heartbeat. “Nicky, wake up sweetie.” He spoke as he softly touched his cheek and rubbed part of it with his thumb. Dean panicked more as he didn’t get any reaction, he knew the nails had to be removed, the longer they stayed, the more damage they could to. Tears ran down his face as he waited for Joseph, he had the right medical knowledge, he would know how to remove them. “Jo hurry.” He yelled as the tears kept streaming down his face.
