Damon headed out giving one last nod of his head to those in the room "The same applies to you all... Good luck." Damon slowly left the room and pulled the door quietly to a close behind him and headed downstairs and out the front of the bar. Whilst Samantha said her goodbyes he would prepare a car to leave. The cars out on the street had been scrapped for parts in general.
Damon eventually opened a garage and found something more to his taste. A sportier car that could get them out of a jam quick. He tested the engine and to his delight it kicked into action with half a tank of fuel remaining. Driving it out front he loaded it up and began to check the car over. Making sure it was still road worthy after two years stationary.
The sniper wanted food, supplies. He didn't blame him that was the one thing needed to live. Admittedly he was sure that the others who left before him would have taken from their own stash, probably picked it clean. That what little supplies his group had when they joined with Collette, the blonde and her cousin had taken. Collette aloud him to do so, not that they needed it. There was only a few of them left, even most of the original people who were with them had died. Collette and him could survive without some supplies, at least for a while.
Clayton wanted to continue business as usual. It was almost like people hadn't died around him, the people he protected. Angel, Des, all dead. Where was Clayton during all this? Hiding no doubt, like a coward. And here Cade thought he was inhuman, Clayton was the prime example of someone not human. He didn't care, just wanted to keep going. They had lost all their guards, ammo. That wasn't even including Remy and her group, these were the people from before. Cade couldn't even move, they had nothing. How were they to continue. He didn't say anything to them, just looked away. He had nothing to say to him.
The one named Victor spoke. He had shelter, out in the swamp. Arcade despised the swamp, hated the folk there, the smell. He was a city boy, he wasn't leaving. The lure of a fence, safety, it sounded nice. He wondered why the soldier had found them at all? How had he found them, the hotel, why?
"No one asked for your help. You chose to do that. Don't think we owe you anything. You did nothing but drug Collette," Cade spoke. He wasn't even sure if that had been him. He just knew it wasn't the doctor he trusted. "You may have fought along side us, but I don't think it mattered. People died, you didn't do anything. We aren't in your care, nor were we ever in your care."
He looked away. "We won't be going, we can make it on our own. If you want to leave Clayton, you can, take the anyone with you who wants to go." He looked back at Victor. "I agree we aren't enemies, I never said we were. But we are not friends, and we are not in a time of need."
He wouldn't go to the swamp, he would stay in the city. When he healed he had acer's men to hunt. After that he would plan what he did next.
Sam hugged Holly back," you and the doc take care." She smiled at her as she broke the embrace." Thanks, for everything." Sam wasn't out of the woods. It was going to be a daily struggle to not use, but she had Damon to help with that.
She left the red head in the kitchen. She had hoped to say goodbye to the Doc and find out what their plans were, but he didn't seem to be around. Slowly she moved towards the front of the hotel and peeked through a boarded up window. Sam wanted to make sure things were clear before she stepped out into the street. She saw movement, and slowly opened the front door. She stepped out, looking for Damon. Fifteen minutes. Maybe she wa early. She eyes the few dead up the street, and prayed they didn't notice her.

Damon had finally tweaked the car and drove it around the corner. It was a sporty convertible that he had been able to get running. Speedy which was ideal for escaping the city. Damon pulled the car up and hopped out to see Samantha waiting. He hopped out and smiled opening the boot to show her some of the supplies he had gotten and place any of her bags in.
"Good to go? I sorted things with Collette and stuff."
Colette watched Damon leave. Truly, she wished him and the blonde luck, they would need it. She glanced at Cade as he once again spoke for her. He was beginning to grate on her nerves with doing that. She turned her attention back to Victor and spoke," Angel went and asked him for help, Ciara found him on a run and showed her where to find him, I told her to go. Figured we would need the extra medical help once Acer made his intentions clear." Her head turned and she looked back at Cade, smirked a bit." You can't move by yourself, you really think you can refuse if forced?" She raised one brow and shook her head. Of course he would resist. It was who he had become. Tell him the sky was blue and he'd beat you to a liar if he thought it was a different shade.
Colette looked at Vincent," no, Cade has never liked the swamp, he won't go for that, but if you could help me load up what we have left as far as supplies, and get him in the SUV, I'd appreciate it." Colette knew Arcade better than anyone else living. She'd known him for a decade now, and had watched this world change him. She had an idea. Her mom had moved into the hotel after her father passed and Colette had kept up the old house," let's go home, Cade." She locked eyes on him to see if this was agreeable to him.
A sense of relief flooded over Sam as she heard and saw the car. Damon popped the back and she tossed in her pack. She didn't really bother to look. She wanted to get out of here. Sam stared at the few dead roaming around as she got in and looked at Damon," the apartment for tonight and then out of this city, right?" Sam had decided that cities were no longer safe. She wanted to be somewhere out in the open, remote. The more she could see, the better to tell what was coming. She glanced at Damon and patted his leg," let's go, somewhere without a lot of people." She chuckled , funny how you change. She'd gone from being the life of the party to wanting to be some kind of hermit.
Once Damon left Cade simply nodded. He did wish the man good travels. Despite being s bit reckless Damon was an okay guy, at least from what he saw. He cut to the chase, asked about resources, something Cade would have done. He'll even he was reckless in his own sense. Plus Damon was just looking after his girl, much as Cade looked after and liked to think, he protected Collette.
Arcade ignored about what she said about Victor, he was done talking about him. he had moved on, was ready for the next part. "I'm thinking I could put up a fight. Would tear my stitches before you dragged me away. I can still bunch, and bite." He looked at the others in the room, Clayton, who hadn't said a word, Collette and Victor.
"Home, as in your apartment, my apartment," Cade asked. He hadn't returned since this started. It was on the other side of town, the less rich end of town, definitely not tourist friendly. With all the thugs up at Acer's he expected it to be fine. But he could see that's not what she meant,
"You means your moms home. I could live with that, it's secluded still in town. That could work. You get us there Victor and we'll offer some of our supplies, Dan had medical supplies, maybe you can use it." He looked at Collette. "What about everyone else in the hotel, they can't stay, and the house won't fit all of them."

Damon had gentlemanly held the door open to allow Samantha to get in the car. Once she was in he shut the boot and hopped into the passenger seat.
"Yep. One night at Remys old place... then we head out to the countryside. Try find a remote hotel or something. Maybe a farm. We'll see."
He began to drive away placing his seat belt on and swerved past the few walkers. He had a smile on his face for now aand a cool breeze against his face.
