Anthony spoke about wanting to talk in the room rather than downstairs, saying he wanted to keep what he was about to tell him quiet from the others for now. Aron believed him, Anthony had no reason to be keeping secrets from the rest of the group, if he felt it was best being kept quiet for a short amount of time, he'd must have a good reason to think that way.
Aron let Anthony in, sitting back on his bed whilst Anthony sat down in one of the chairs. Aron looked at the man, surprised he was actually in his room, not knowing at all what the man was going to say but also eager to hear what he had to say. The conversation began with Anthony talking about how the place was nice and spacious, he was right, Aron nodded, however still unsure of where he was going with it. Anthony said it would be crazy to leave. Probably, Aron thought. He hadn't thought of leaving but had thought about his place in the group a lot, he felt quite alone and one of the group outcasts.
He had been looking down as Anthony spoke about it being crazy to want to leave, Aron looked up straight away when he heard Anthony say he couldn't stay any longer. "What?" Immediately, Aron thought about being even more alone, many were leaving the group and he was going to be just stuck at the hotel. Anthony continued, saying he had made a promise to Grant. He remembered Grant, they escaped from the camp with Grant. Aron had known Grant for only a small amount of time, but he couldn't think of many men more respectable than Grant. Anthony had made a promise to the man and was keen to see it through to completion, as Aron would have if he had also made that promise.
Aron kept listening, it would be hard for Anthony to do this just with Candy. It felt it had been building up to the moment when Anthony finally said he needed Aron on the trip. Yet, he was quite surprised to think about what was actually happening, he had not expected it at all and didn't really know how to take the news initially. He took a couple of seconds to take in everything and decide his place within the group. He'd felt less important in the group lately and the fact that he still felt he owed Anthony for everything helped him reach a decision. "No Anthony, you can't do this all alone. Miami is going to be a big journey for you and Candy. It's down to you that I'm sitting here right now, and for that I'm greatful. I owe it to you to help you now after all you've done for me. I want to help you, Anthony, I want to go along with you."
