Just as quickly as things were stirred up, they settled down as if the high heat that was boiling the water was turned off. The brothers, Thomas and Christian didn't want to stay here, which was fine. They had only just arrived and as she lowered her gun, Thomas handed her back one. They weren't tethered to staying, although she was sure they could use their skills here once they were both healed.
"It's a bad idea to leave. You both need rest.." But there was no stopping them. They left through the gates. Donavan was trying to help the wounded girl and she went over to Sean who had finally arrived.
"Where you been? I keep running into strangers at the wall." She heard the invitation from Thomas but she had no reason to leave. She only just met them and Sunrise was her home. Sure she had left for small spurts at a time, but so far, this was where she landed. She wasn't sure why, but she liked it here. She had her little nest in one of the homes and that bed she slept in was pretty comfy. She didn't want to take to the road again, sleeping in the backseat of a car and having no idea what they were driving into.
"Thanks, but...this is home." Turning back to Sean, she seemed a little worried. "I tried to get them to stay and rest. We could use their help. But they are right. We need numbers to keep us safe. If there's more raiders close by we could be in big trouble."
She looked back to the house where she left the girl in charge of cooking up another stew. She assumed Donovan was hungry too. "We should eat and rest. We could all meet back in the morning and figure out what to do."
