Knox and his men continued to patrol outside the perimeter of the house as a couple of his guys headed towards the swamp with fishing poles and rope to try and catch some food. When they had bonfires, they usually kept to the fire pit they dug in the ground out front and roasted the meat to eat and hopes of capturing the attention of walkers. They made for good target practice for the men.
With Ernie getting to the moonshine still beneath the house, he started gathering up some dried wood from the brittle trees that had not been pruned in a few years to start that fire. Once the wood was placed in the pit, he threw a little gasoline on the sticks and started up the roaring fire. Black smoke billowed as the warm flames burned through the sticks easily enough while the sound of chopping wood could be heard for some distance.

Remy wasn't sure why the sound of the growling walker woke her up, but it did. Of all the sounds she was attuned to most in this world, it seemed to be that. It was a basic instinct now like being hungry, thirsty or even breathing. Hearing things you needed to hear kept you awake. That included hungry walkers and the sounds of gunfire. It still always amazed her how quiet the world was outside of those two things now. She had almost forgotten what the sound of buzzing planes, passing traffic and the general buzz of electricity sounded like now. Ice cubes didn't drop in the freezer anymore. Lights didn't click on and off. No clock radios to wake you up. If there were any electronics the only thing that could keep them alive was batteries.
She sat up in the bed and kept the warm blankets around her shoulders on this frosty morning. Moving to the window to wipe the sleep from her eyes she looked out the window to see the lonely creature stumbling across the back fields, close to the house. When she looked for others, all she saw was this one, lone walker. It was of no concern to her. She just stood and watched, wondering what happened in her life. She wondered who the walker was, did she have kids? Was she married? Was she even from the bayou? It least it kept her mind off Luca, for the moment. She hated the wounds that were left open and sore in her heart. Arden hated it and he made that very clear. Luca didn't matter anymore. Family did and she needed to be more thankful for that.
After a few days of traveling Hannah and Susan pull over into a dirt parking lot of a general store. Susan climbs off the back of Hannah's Harley Davidson stretching her legs and sees the rest of the gang pulling into the lot as well to stretch a bit after a long ride from Jacksonville Florida to somewhere here in Louisiana. Hannah and Susan would of took the semi Freight liner, but sadly to say the truck wasn't going anywhere soon so they had to take Hannah's Harley for the road trip. It took them longer then expected to get to Louisiana only because of the pit stops they had to make along the way for food, rest, bathroom breaks, and get fuel for the bikes and the car.
Susan looks around seeing how the tiny town they are in is surrounded by very thick tall trees which is formed into a large woods around the area. She can only see one main road that leads through the town from one end to the other end of the tiny town. She can see a narrow dirt road or trail near the general's dirt lot leading from the road off into the woods towards the swampy areas.

The walker passed, but she kept watching her as she sauntered off, following the driveway down towards the road. It was time to take back their home and they needed Shaun's dog to make that plan happen. She didn't hear any other activity in the house and she knew her cousin wanted to get moving on this plan at first sunrise. They had all the guns and ammo accounted for and it was time for a fight.
Keeping the blanket around her shoulders, she quietly moved from the room she slept in, feeling the boards beneath her feet as they creaked low. It felt good to take her shoes and socks off, even if her feet were cold against the floor. She went to the first room, gently opening the door to see her cousin laying on the bed. For the first time in a long time, he looked like he was finally at peace. Instead of the vicious gaze and venom in his voice, he rested quietly and she was about to disturb.
"Arden. Arden wake up." She gently pushed against his shoulder to get him to open his eyes. "It's time to take our home back." She would let him get up on his own terms. She just wanted to get the ball rolling to get him out of bed. She moved down the hallway towards another bedroom, waking up Amarie, then Shaun. The dog immediately woke up and came to her, panting as she moved to the side of the bed. "Shaun, time to wake up. We have to get to work."
Slowly she moved downstairs where she nudged Nolan on the couch. "Hey, Nolan, get up. We have to figure out this plan. Time to fight some bikers."
She dropped the blanket she had wrapped around her shoulders and moved to the front window, looking out between the boards to the morning sun that was starting to rise. There was a fog that coated the road, blowing away and burning off as the sun rose. She was hoping the fog would stick around enough to let them make a dent in the armor of what was living in her family's home.

Gone, she was gone. In one moment she was there, then the next she wasn`t. How could he let it happen, why couldn`t he protect her as he promised? All that and more troubled Charles as he drove on the highway west, feeling burdened by guilt that plagued him both day and night. He was supposed to be the leader amongst his biker friends, yet his mind remained elsewhere. His sister and her friend went ahead of them, driving the freightliner through obstacles with ease. However whenever the others wanted to rest, Charles criticized that they had to keep moving, he didn`t allow the others to rest properly, even though it was safe. After Dannie`s death he had gone unhinged, he killed without reason, allowed his gang to do the most unspeakable things to strangers, and he just didn`t care anymore.
Escaping the motel in Jacksonville Florida hadn`t been easy, after Dannie died they had to fight their way out. The bullet that had been used to put her out of misery had attracted unwanted attention, and with her death still fresh in mind, Charles got dragged off in grieving rage. The screams which she let out before she died continued to echo in his mind whenever he lashed out at those who tried to stop him, and to anyone who witnessed the madness must surely have thought he`d lost his mind.
As they traveled he went quiet, mostly avoiding the others when he didn`t need to speak. Although he did spend some time with his sister catching up, afterall they hadn`t seen each other for years, and she had grown into a beautiful young woman. Despite being around her he failed to notice her close relationship to her newfound friend, thinking it to be normal behavior the way they acted.
The further they went the more the road got difficult, vegetation that had been allowed to grow freely for over three years had caused cracks and bumps in the road. Trees had fallen over due to heavy wind, and the worse it got, the more did Charles want to simply leave the truck behind. It was good to use for clearing immovable objects, but when it caused more trouble than it`s worth, it simply wasn`t worth it anymore.
Once they entered the state of Louisiana, it didn`t take long before they got to a small town on the road. They pulled over and parked at a lot close to a store, Charles turned off the engine, stood up and turned to face the others. “Alright boys and gals, you know the routine.” With a firm nod at Tobias he was certain he knew what to do, and with that he turned his attention to his sister Susan. They were running low on fuel, so some would need to clean out the abandoned vehicles in town. “Sis, can I talk to you for a moment?” He asked and motioned for her to come over.
It had been months since she had been separated from Ricardo. She hadn’t found him anywhere and had no hope he was alive at this point. She made her way through the woods and countryside. She found her way to what was a farm. Clearing out the house she found a room and settled down for the night in one of the bed rooms. Bundled in blankets on the bed she finally found much needed rest. Her dreams gave her nothing but sadness. Her getting separated from ricardo the hordes of walkers chasing them both in opposite directions. Skylar’s eyes opened when the beams of sunlight hit her through the windows. She slowly sat up and felt the baby moving and kicking a storm in her stomach.
“It’s okay baby I will get you some food in there.”She said quietly and peacefully to her stomach. Her hand resting on her stomach she rose out of the bed and grabbed her bag. She pulled out some squirrel jerky she had made and started to scarf it down. She then closed her pack up and grabbed her crossbow. Throwing the items over her shoulder she grabbed her cowgirl hat and headed out the bedroom. Heading down the stairs of the farm house she headed through each room. Grabbing first aid supplies and raided the kitchen. She found a few canned goods and bottled waters that she dumped into her bag.
She was on her way out of the house and glanced towards the barn. She hadn’t seen any signs of horses being there but she figured she would head down anyway. With her crossbow ready she entered the barn quietly in case of any lurking walkers. Glancing into each of the stalls she found one after one to be empty. She heard a shuffling noise at the end stall and suddenly a big black head appeared out of it. Skylar smiled and approached the stall. “Hey there big boy Aren’t you beautiful.” She said with a smile on her lips. She grabbed the halter off the horses stall and placed it on his head. Clipping the lead line to him she opened the stall and led him out. Good thing he had access to a pasture and lake or he wouldn’t have survived.
She groomed the large black animal and got him saddled. “Maverick is what I will call you.” She Lead him out of the barn and climbed onto his back. He shuffled around under her weight and she patted his neck. Nudging him forward he bolted off into a full out run. Skylar gripped the horn of the saddle and let him run for a bit. It felt good to be back on a horse and just enjoying the riding. The two made a fast pace along side of the road she Watched as she passed the Louisiana state line sign. She pulled back on the large black horses reigns and slowed him to a walk. The two came across a gas station and she rode around to the back of the building. She climbed off the horse and patted his neck as she tied his reigns to a pole behind the building. She pulled the crossbow of her shoulder and quietly opened the door.
Making her way inside she noticed the moans and growling of a walker shuffling in the corner. She took it out with a shot to the head. Luckily that was the only other being in the building. Skylar quietly made her way through the convenient store. Her attention turned when she heard the sound of a motorcycle pull out front of the building. “Shit.” She mumbled to herself and ducked low not wanting to be spotted. She had hope it was just one or two people. Much to her dismay the sound of even more bikes rang in her ears. “Son of a..” She said stopping herself and going quiet. How was she gonna get out of this mess. Quite a few bikers now appeared at the store front. There was no way she would be able to just sneak herself and a giant black horse with no one seeing them. She place he crossbow over her shoulder and drew the gun attached to her hip as she tried to figure out her best escape plan.

Amarie jumped of bed when she heard the rumbling down the road. Trucks, motorcycles and a caravan that did not sound like something she had heard before. Were there more bikers coming to that homestead? She left the covers behind and immediately grabbed the binoculars off the dresser that she always kept close. It was how she kept tabs on the biker group that took Arden's property. The others surely must have heard it, but instead of going downstairs, she went to the second floor window, opened it up and watched. She had a good vantage point of the road where she could see what was coming and going. That was the good thing about open farmland. You could see what was all around you without trees blocking too much.
She heard Remy coming up the stairs behind her wondering what was out on the road.
"What do you see Amarie?"
"Bikers. And a semi truck. And...a horse?" She was more interested in the bikers then a horse that had probably meandered from a neighboring farm.
"They didn't come from your house. We would have heard them drive by."
She tried to focus the binoculars a little more as she watched the men stop at a store.
"They stopped at Raul's old place. The gas station. They ain't gonna find much in there. Maybe some rats to eat. No, they ain't the same. Different designs on their jackets. What's that called, a patch or something? No, the guys at your place have red skulls with handcuffs at the bottom. Theirs is different. Not the same gang I could assume."
"What are they doing?"
"Probably looking for supplies. They may hook up with the others if we don't catch them first."
She just stayed and watched as she heard Remy going back down the hall to get Arden before heading up to the attic to grab a shot gun and some ammo. Jesus, did she even know how to shoot a shotgun? Either way, she was certain Remy learned at some point during all this. She heard Remy going down the stairs and open the front door.
Arden slowly got out of bed. It was the first time he actually slept in a long time, or slept for long. At the hotel he couldn't sleep, had to watch over Remy. Yet out here he happened to drift off. Maybe it was being in a bed again, maybe it was the country air. Either way, he slept. When Remy called he dragged himself out.
Pulling in a loose fitting sleeveless shirt, and his vest he stepped out. He grabbed his shotgun and went down the hall. Nearly running into Amarie he stopped. He moved her aside, grabbing her by the biceps to steady her.
"What's going on," he asked, the sound of a rumbling truck outside. "Shit, you think they're here."'he went to the window. Looking out he could only see the shape of the truck and horse amongst the people in the distance.
"Hand me those would yah," he said pointing to the binoculars. Once Amarie did he looked at them. "That ain't the fuckers who ran us off. Not the right patch, or bike. Plus they got women with them, these bikes ain't got no women back on the property. There's a horse too, ain't no need for that."
He moved along. Hearing a door slams he swore under his breath. Marching down the steps he came out after Remy. "The fuck you doing, get back inside," he said pointing to the door.
Shaun sat up in the chair he sat in. The dog moved to his side he rubbed it behind the ears. "Ready to do this boy. 'Cause I'm not," he said standing up. He stretched out. Grabbing a shirt from his bag he buttoned it up. Adding his over coat and toque he came down the stairs. He didn't have a weapon, felt he didn't need one, at least not yet. He could grab one later. His pitchfork was in the truck. He stopped along the way seeing Amarie.
"Hope I didn't keep you up all night. I have be told I talk a little in my sleep. Well more mumble," he said moving around. "That and the dog makes noises, and he's with me everywhere I go." He rubbed his face calmly, trying to wake up. "What's going on out there?"
He looked out the window, at the distance, he saw the truck and stepped back. "Do I need a weapon? Is that them," he asked calmly, looking around. He moved along the wall. "The guns wee innthensttic right? Or did someone bring them down. Can you show me where that is?"
He looked at her, checking the window again. From above he could see Arden, and Remy below.
The trip to Lousianna had been a long one. But he was glad to have gotten his bike out of there. Seemed all the bikes had, a good sign. He remained quiet most of the trip, making the snide comment or suggestion here and there.mmostly he was watching his back. He felt like Tobias would stab it the moment it went south. England didn't like that. Having to watch every turn from a friendly, some on their own team.
He knew chsrles wouldn't care either. Since losing his cop, girlfriend, who England still blamed Tobias for, he didn't care. It must have hit him hard, mhe wonder how long they had been together.
At the store front he parked his bike. Climbing off he hesrd the whinny of a horse. He immediately pulled his gun. "We got company chaps. Get your head out of your arses and look alive." He raised his gun, looking for who ever was with the horse. Or the horse itself.
As he moved along he spotted the girl in the storefront. "In there boys, looks."
He moved toward a wall, to get a better shot at her.

Remy picked up a bad habit from Luca and that was not thinking about her actions. With the arrival of a new biker gang that could prove to be allies to the ones that were already on the property that rightfully belonged to her family she found herself getting pissed. All the emotions from the past two weeks had culminated into anger and that anger turned into the foolishness of acting upon that anger first instead of thinking about it. She was tired of the bullshit that had become her life. When she told Luca privately that she would die defending her home, she meant it.
She went to the attic and grabbed a fully loaded shotgun that Arden had placed ammo in and went downstairs. She heard Arden yelling at her to get back in the house but she wasn't about to do that. She wanted those bikers to know they were going to be dealing with a threat that was her and her people, her family, the strangers that joined them without having any knowledge that the two biker gangs that were about to meet were bitter rivals. These strangers could be hidden allies, but her mindset refused her the ability, at this moment, to think about that. She didn't care about biker gang wars. She cared about her family. She had Arden and she wanted Ernie and Ellie back now.
She heard her cousin yell for her to get back inside, but her legs wouldn't let her. "This is OUR home Arden. Ain't no outsiders going to come and take that away from us."
She started down the road, making sure to keep that shotgun in plain view in one hand, held up by her shoulder and the nail bat in the other hand as she stomped down the pavement. She didn't even know if she could use the shotgun but she sure as hell knew how to use the nail bat. The bikers at the store may see her walking up if they were paying attention.
The walker she saw by the house walked into the road looking to take a bite out of the blonde. But that walker was shit out of luck as she reared up the bat, smacking her in the head sending a splatter of blackened vitae across the road and across her hair and chest. She had to kick the now dead walker off her bat, leaving her dead in the road as she continued on her war path towards Charles and his group.

The trip was a somber one, Tobias stuck mainly to his four men whispers and drinking. This world was theirs and Charlie's and Englands. It was Hell on earth. Tobias Wayne loved every minute of it. His men loved it too.
So far his only regret was hurting Charlie, it broke his heart but what he did had to be done. He felt never sure of something.
This group needed Tobias and his men or their path clearing would have been null. Tobias commanded his mean to push cars and they pushed but it was England who stopped them hollering about a visitor. Tobias smiled, "Well Englan' fuckin' do somethin about it! We're kinda busy you Mick fuck."
Watching over his men Tobias took a quick glance back over his shoulder, "The rest of youin's we need more hands."
Remy ignored him. What the hell was she thinking. They didn't know these people. For all they knew they could be part of the gang, or working with them. Wouldn't be the first time two gangs came together. Ecspecially in all this. Yet his stupid cousin was watching marching straight toward them.
He came up behind her, shotgun in hand. It was fully loaded, and he was ready.
"Remy, what the fuck do you think you're doing," he asked gruffly. He grabbed her arm, stopping her in her tracks after she killed the Walker. He spun her around to face him. "Think about this Remy. You're going to march out there. Then what? Say hey, there's other bikers, help me kill them."
He let go of her. "Fucking think about this. You don't know them, we can't trust them. We can't just rush in there for once. What are you even going to do or say to them? You're gonna get yourself killed, and I won't let that happen. So get the fuck back to the house."
Nolan had crashed on the couch he cleaned his wound, changed clothes, but before quickly dozing off loaded all of his weapons and checked them over to see if they were in operating condition.
Remy jolted him awake. It had been the first dreamless night but he knew what today meant for all of them. Nolan pushed himself up and dropped to the floor doing a couple push ups, it hurt like Hell but he knew it'd be better to keep his wounded shoulder moving forcing the body to heal.
Jerking on a shirt and lacing his boots Nolan threw his rifle over his shoulder, lit a smoke, and walked outside. All he saw was Remy storm off and Arden followed. "Jesus what now?" Nolan asked himself as he took off toward Arden, "What is it?"

The trip had been a quiet, gray blur on the horizon of the apocalypse. They traveled in a pack, with Charles and his men at the forefront, and Damon at the flank in his own vehicle. He didn't mind being slightly excluded, especially not since Dannie's death. Charles had changed, and in his downwards spiral, he allowed his men to act as they chose, even if he would have never allowed it otherwise. Damon didn't agree with it, wouldn't participate in it, and kept to himself as they traveled across the states.
Even if they hadn't had to vacate Jacksonville in a flurry, Damon had long since decided it was currently easier to travel with them, at least until they retraced the steps he had made with Dannie. Before getting stranded in Georgia, Damon had been on his way to Illinois, and moving together in a group gave him a much higher chance of eventually getting there, whether it was on his own or not. Susan and Hannah seemed nice enough in their own right, and England stuck mainly to himself. While he didn't trust Tobias or his men and blamed the bastards for Dannie's untimely death in his own mind, he trusted his own ability to take care of himself, or at least to remove himself from the situation if it ever proved to be too arduous.
So when the group stopped in front of the convenience store, he let Tobias and his men worry about the cars and focused more on raiding the store itself. He shut and locked the car behind him, but as he came to England's side with the intention of entering the store and saw him raise his gun, he followed suit out of instinct and covered him. Yet as he approached and saw it was a woman within the store, he dreaded what could happen if the situation got out of hand.
"It's a woman," he stated the obvious under his breath, though as he murmured it to England, he could only hope that the common implication carried itself through. While he was fully aware that women could be just as dangerous as men in this new world, there was that natural respect and protection towards women inside of him that he couldn't shake. Or perhaps it was because he remembered himself, alone and abandoned in Georgia, raiding store to store and hoping that no one would stumble upon him, that gave him pause. Regardless of what it was, he kept a cool head and didn't let his values waver. "She might be alone."
During their trip, with Tobias's threats in mind and the gang's cruelty towards strangers on the road leaving a sour taste in his mouth, he had already decided what kind of man he wanted to be in this cruel new world. And it wasn't the type that gunned down a potentially innocent woman without being threatened first. If that was the new world that the bikers wanted to create, then he didn't want to live in it.
But with the angry blond rushing towards them down the driveway, even with her companion behind her giving pause, they might not have to worry about living much longer anyway.

As Charles waited for his sister to come on over so he could speak with her, he watched what the others began to do. Tobias and the men went straight to clear the road, pushing the cars, whereas Tommy`s attention turned elsewhere. Almost immediately he noticed a horse nearby and called out for the others to look, believing someone was hiding inside the store. Charles shook his head, knowing it didn`t bode well. Tobies yelled back at Tommy, saying he should deal with it as the others were rather occupied. Damon went on over to help Tommy, and in response Charles gave them a nod to go on without them. “You two check it out, better be safe than sorry. Remember, can`t trust strangers.”
Just as they all heard someone shouting in the distance, Charles`s attention shifted. As he saw a blonde woman walking towards them with a bat in her hand, killing a random walker, he heard Damon in the background say there could be a woman inside the store. Shit were about to get real, and they all had to be alert. Charles whistled for Tobias and the others to react, wanting them to stop what they were doing to focus. “Yo boys, we got company.” Just as Charles said that he figured the blonde woman wasn`t alone, someone was trying to stop her from moving further, a guy, only to be followed by another right in their heels.
With a few steps forward toward the strangers, Charles moved his hand to rest on his gun, removing the safety in case he needed it. Normally he would have pulled it out right away, but he had learned from his mistakes and wanted to take it easy. Whoever they were he doubted they wanted to fight, by the look of things they didn`t stand a chance. Standing in the open, Charles trailed his eyes across the three individuals, studying them. “Hey! That’s close enough…what ya want?” He shouted out to them, curious about their intentions. While he did the talking, he was certain the others would line up to aim at them, and hopefully Tommy and Damon could deal with whoever was in the store, perhaps the strangers knew each other, maybe they just walked into an ambush.
As Susan stands there looking all around taking in the sight of the area as her brother approached her asking if he could have a word with her. Susan looks at her brother nodding to him. Sure. What do you want to talk about? Susan asked him then looks to her lover Hannah. I'll be back in a moment. I'm gonna take a walk with Charlie over here. Susan says to Hannah. Susan starts walking with her brother as she awaits for him to talk. So what's on your mind, Charlie? Susan asked him to start off the conversation with him.
Before the conversation between them could continue they were interrupted with the sound of a horse behind the store and then Tommy and Damon running off to the store to see who might be here with them. Then came a couple rushing down the dirt path while arguing with each other and stopping every few moments. Susan can see in the distance a woman and a man with shotguns and a bat in their hands. Susan rushes over to a nearby tree that sits between the store dirt parking lot and the dirt path leading to the swampy area.
Hannah takes cover over by Damon's car aiming her shotgun at the woman ready to fire if necessary. Susan pulls out both her pistols and aims them at the woman while behind the tree. She fires one shot at the woman's feet as a warning to her not to come any closer. Who the fuck are you!? Don't come any closer or my family and I will shoot you and your friend dead on sight! What the fuck do you want from my family and me! Susan asked yelling to the woman unsure of the woman and her friend's attentions. You come any closer and my family and I will consider you a threat! Susan added to the woman.

"Arden! Wait!" She watched as he raced downstairs after Remy and she looked back to the group gathered at Raul's store. "Shit, shit shit." She watched Nolan storming out after them and then she heard it. She heard Arden cursing for Remy to get back inside and she agreed with him. That was a suicide mission to go after some group like that without a plan. Now the question in her mind was if she was supposed to follow with a gun or stay here.
She decided to stay put.
Shaun had a lot of questions suddenly as her mind started racing. She was worried Remy and Arden were about to get themselves killed. She left his question about keeping her up out of the equation as something more immediate seemed to press on.
"There's some bad guys out there. I think. Get a gun. Hell, get two. Come on. In the attic there's plenty of weapons."
She wrapped the binoculars around her neck and raced up to the attic, grabbing one of the rifles and making sure it was loaded. The scope was ready to go, which would help, but she was no sniper, that's for sure. If she was going to fire off a shot, she would have to make damn sure she was doing the right thing.
She scrambled to open the sticky window and climbed out to the rooftop that was now bathed in sunlight. It was warm beneath her belly as she laid down and used the tiles to help prop the gun up. At least up here she could keep warm and get a good shot in. She was worried about one thing...the bikers that originally ran Remy's family off. This was going to be do or die now. She kept quiet. Now they didn't need Shaun and his pup to create this distraction. They keep making all that noise and the distractions would wake up those bikers and take care of itself.
She didn't want to die today, but she knew it was possible.
"Shaun, get to the porch. See if you can cover them downstairs."

This moment was the exact same moment when Adolphus came after her and her group in Oklahoma. He had been chasing them since Miami, hunting them, wanting to kill them all and if she wanted to save everyone, she had it in her mind to sacrifice herself. But she had a plan with Adolphus and that plan was to make him hesitate, for only a second, by telling him she was pregnant. That second saved their lives as he was taken down by her lie.
But now there was no hesitation. She didn't know this guy and his group and she only came out of anger. She wanted to fight for what was hers. She was tired of running and she was ready to die to get back what was hers. When Arden came up and grabbed her arm, spinning her around, he would see, for the first time, that anger in her eyes. She was always laid back and although he teased her to the point of anger when they were kids, that's all it was...childish hurt feelings. Here, now, it was a need and desire to eliminate the enemy and for all she knew, these guys were the enemy. Everyone was the enemy except for her family. Nolan came up behind Arden and she hissed out her words.
"I ain't letting them take our farm. I ain't running no more. This is OUR home. I'm doing this Arden."
She wrenched her arm away and turned to see one of the guys walking up with his hand ready to pull a gun. He also saw a woman approach with shotgun drawn, ready to fire if she hurt her family. Now this was about to get interesting. The shot gun came up as one hand awkwardly held on to the bat, balancing both weapons precariously. "Who the fuck are you? You come to my town threatening my family just the same way? Step the fuck back now!" Her southern accent was strong as she spoke and it was very clear that she was a native Louisianian. Back in the city, she was an educated woman with that southern accent, but not as pronounced and..redneck..as her cousins. But here it was, strong and southern.
"You with them boys wearing the skulls and handcuffs on their backs? You think you can just take my home and run my family off? Do you?"
She stepped closer even though the man said for her to stop where she was. In her mind, at this minute, she went where she wanted, when she wanted and these people were strangers in a strange land. Regardless of her impulsive actions she knew Arden would have her back. Nolan may too. This was his town too.
"You see them boys behind me? They my family too. So looks like we both protecting our families now. Lower them guns. Do it now!"
There were no lies to be told here. Only the truth. The strangers she were protecting were Nolan and Shaun and she had no idea why. They were told they could leave but they didn't and that said enough to her. Arden was her blood and Amarie was blood by proxy as they all grew up together. She felt her stomach tied in knots and her heart was pounding. This was either the bravest thing she had ever done since all this started or the studpiest way and she was going to die.
"But these people ain't the bikers. We had a plan, running out there getting yourself killed ain't gonna help no one," Arden said to his cousin. The anger in her eyes was obvious. He hadn't seen this before, this spark. It was soemthing new. He liked it, the anger boiling in her. As she pulled away he raised his gun at the people.
The walked toward them, not img the people take notice of them. Arden kept his gun raised, seeing the man with his hand on his gun. There was another woman, she held a gun up. A warn shot was fired at Remy's feet, but Arden kept walking forward. Fuck them if they wanted to shoot them they would have already, same could be said about them. He walked until he was close enough to get a shot at them if he had to.
He heard his causing shout some things off. Arden gripped his gun, keeping quiet. He was ready to shoot if he had
"You heard he fucker. Drop the gun, and get your bitch to do the same," Arden snapped. He glared down the sights of his shotgun, keeping it aimed at man, around his midsection. "Do it," he yelled. He didn't care about the bikers around them, the ones moving the cars. They were to focussed on that. If they were to turn Arden could handle them. Often killing the ringleader did just that.
