Shaun lowered the gun as the bolt of another biker went into the one choking Remy with the chain. He assumed this man who road up was with Charles and his crew. A biker was a biker to him. He saw Remy drop down, rush to Arden's side, he did the same helping the man stand. He watched Remy, listened to what she said.
"We'll make it, and we'll get back your home," he didn't support Arden's other side, the man could walk on his own. Slinging the rifel to his back he grabbed the dropped shotgun and called for Scout, the dog hostile toward Susan and Charles, growling and not letting them get close to Remy or Arden.
He didn't know if this group would follow them, or stay her, right now he didn't care either. Her had to get Remy and her cousin back, and the retake the farm. The biker could do as they pleased, and probably would. If they were to come they better dang well help.
Hearing the cry of a baby he looked up. A you man came out, holding a newborn child, the man was covered in fluid and blood, he remember holding his child for the first time, the way it felt. He wondered if the boy was the father. The man tried to calm the child, cradling it, walking slowly, rocking.
"Support his head more," Shaun said pointing to the child in the man's arms, "along the back keep it straight. He's uncomfortable." Many times his wife had scolded him when the baby would cry. Always holding or doing something wrong. But that was the nurse in her. She saw logic not practical error.
He walked with Arden and Remy. "Let's move."
