Nickiah crossed his over his chest as Dean dug into his choice. "Dean there is no safe anymore." He said in a non yelling tone after his loves statement. Still not used to the seemingly overprotective nature of Dean in his opinion. "I don't need you to worry about me so much, I have survived this long" Nick sighed in frustration. He had been meaning to talk to him about it for a while and it was moments likes these he wished he could. Leaning in to give Dean a peck on the cheek instead before slowly turning away without another word. Afraid he would say something that would lead to a fight. Going off to say goodbye to the strangers he hadn't even talked to.

Dean sighed, he hated it when Nick acted childish and reckless. He Listened as Nick said he didn’t need worry about him. Dean closed his eyes as he tried to control how angry he was, Dean was broken after losing his first love, he didn’t want to go through the whole thing again, Nick was special, they had sort of an extra connection he never had, not even with his first love.
He felt Nick kiss him on the cheek and opened his eyes, just in time to see him walk away. Dean was able to grab his arm and pull him back. He kissed Nick on his lips very tender and with all the love he felt for his boyfriend. Then he softly stopped and pulled him in a hug. “I love you, never forget that, everything I do, is because I love you.” He whispered softly in his ear. “Just be careful.” then he let go of Nick.
Dean then stepped foreward right in time to hear Joseph read, his eyes were a bit watery from his conversation with Nick ,but he had to stay strong and trust Nick. As Joseph asked if anyone wanted to add something, Dean shook his head. “Nope let’s go.” He replied.
Dean, noticed their old group standing together and looks at all of them. “All come back in one piece.” He said stern. Then he walks out, while looking back one last time at Nick. Slowly he looks back in ,front of him while his heart cries from the inside. Dean was so scared to lose nick, but he had to stay focused. Once in position he waited for Joseph and Seth, since they would be leading the mission.
(Sorry if I missed something Joseph or Seth, but I had no clue anymore if Dean was suppose to follow or wait? )

Making his way through the various equipment cabinets inside, Joseph looked high and low for anything they could use to tear down the "safe zone" walls nearby; chains or ropes, it almost didn't matter to him. You'd think in any police department, Joseph thought, there'd be somewhere they'd have some high-tensile rope or heavy chain lying around....now, where is it?
Then he thought, we still have a little time; Seth's searching elsewhere...don't lose focus here; they're in this room somewhere, find them! Turning back around, Joseph made a quicker but equally thorough second search of the equipment room; it was on this search that he spotted several spools of high-strength chain, similar to regular-link chain but thicker in size. Found, you, you Gentile pieces of chain, he whispered. As he tried to pick one up, he soon realized he was gonna' need some help carrying them. Hefting the box of radios up over his shoulder, he made his way back outside to where Dean and Sabita were; he whistled to them.
"Dean, good news: I've found both radios and high-strength chains that we can use, the radios to communicate with each other, the chains to tear down the safe zone walls. Problem, though: the chains are too heavy for me to carry all of them - three to be specific - out here. Dean, here's what I need you to do; go through these radios, find out which ones work - I didn't have time to check them all.
"I'll be right back," Joseph added, scurrying back inside the police station. Stopping at the main corridor, he yelled to get Seth's attention. "Seth! I found some heavy-duty size spools of chain, but I'm gonna' need help carrying them out!" He hated yelling; the noise could draw unwanted attention but for the time being, he'd take the noise of yelling over not getting what they needed to do done.
(Dean, shouldn't be a problem there; I think the plan was for you and Sabita to wait outside while Seth and I went through the police station. We'll work around it.)

Dean was waiting outside, he couldn’t stop thinking about Nick, it was hard to focus like this. He sighed, he knew this would happen. Just then he heard footsteps, as he looked up he saw Joseph. He told Dean he had good news, they found some radios and chains, which would come in handy. “Nice work.” Dean said with a little smile, yet a little absent. He heard how Joseph also told him the chains were too heavy, just as dean wanted to offer to help, Joseph asked him to check the radios.
“Alright will do.” Dean said as he took the radios and watched Joseph leave again. He tried the first one, as he flicked it on it made a sound, but didn’t seem to do much more. He tried flicking it a couple more times, before twisting the antenna. “Dammit.” Dean yelled as he smashed the radio against the wall. He made sure not to throw it, but just hit it against the wall instead of his fist. “I lost all my damn patience minutes ago.” Dean said to himself, referring to the fight with Nick. “I can’t do this.” He added while his eyes where slowly getting watery.
Just then the walkie made noises, new ones, it was working! Dean looked up and shook his sadness up, he knew he had to go on, he had to trust Nick and he had his own job to do. After that he went back to checking the radios and seemed like all of them worked. The first one was actually broken, but the smack against the wall worked. So he just stood there and waited for Jo to come back.
In past years, a drive down Tennessee Highway 400 from Watauga in would've taken someone about thirty minutes or so...as Kara pulled up to the intersection, she thought, that took less time than I thought, glancing back and forth to see what was around. Deserted houses, abandoned cars...I must be in Johnson City, she humorously mused, adding, almost looks like Old Fort....almost.
As she continued driving down the deserted streets, rusted-out vehicles scattered around like a careless dice-roller's throw, she then thought, Where would I go as a law-enforcement officer? Ahh...when visiting another locale as a cop, you go the police station; that's where I'll go....now where is the damn station?
After several minutes - and a few choice muttered words after going down into dead-ends - Kara could see ahead of her Johnson City's police headquarters. God that place is bigger than I thought, she mused, adding with humor, then again, I've known ex-boyfriends smaller than place. As she began to drive up, she could see activity nearby - looks like a couple of guys hustling into the station, she whispered - and decided to park the F250 on a side-street so that it wouldn't be seen.
Putting it into park, she climbed out, closing the driver's side door as quietly as possible so as not to make any noise; after doing so, she pulled out her pistol and began to make her way forward, low-running as much as possible...all the while pausing to think, What the hell's all that growling? Then it hit her....walkers; shit! Stay on your toes, girl! she thought as she continued to approach the police station, hoping no one'd spot her....no one human, that is. Walkers, she could deal with....she was worried about how to deal with other people.
As the two went through separate sides of the station, Seth kept an eye out for the radios and rope/chain whilst looking for anything else that'd come in handy. He searched a desk, emptying the drawers, to find nothing useful. So he goes to the next office and does the same. Scavenging the offices until he comes across a bottle of vodka, sitting upon a shelf next to an officer's daughter's soccer picture. Looking at the picture reminded him of his son when he played soccer. This brought him into deep thought. Where is his son? He's seen his wife die. He witnessed it. His son was kidnapped. These are the things that Seth had given up on. He's drank away these memories every night before Hampton. Giving up the bottle when Alexis came into his life. But seeing the opportunity in front of him, almost verbally tempting him. "come on Seth, drink me you asshole"....
The temptation was real. Seth knew he made very very bad decisions while intoxicated. His secrets lie within the dangerous liquid. He grabs the bottle, opens up the lid, and brings it to his lips before hearing Joseph yell out his name. This caused him to jerk to the bottle away. He quickly sat it back on the shelf and headed out of the room onto to turn a corner where the barrel of a shotgun was pointed to his chest. A raider, wearing very dirty clothes and a scraggly beard. Reaking of booze and rotted guts. "Don't move asshole. Give me your shit!" Referring to the bag on on Seth's back, Seth nodded and slowly slid off the bag. "Open it up!" Obeying the mans orders, he slowly opens up the bag, slowly revealing the goodies that lie within, he then in a swift motion knocks the barrel of the shotgun away from his chest and punches the man in the jaw causing him to drop the gun. The man swings back and Seth dodges, wrapping his arm around the mans neck, locking him in a rear naked choke hold, he then snaps the mans neck, dropping him where he stood.
"Not today..." he said in between breaths while picking his bag back up and looking in the doorway to see Joseph.

Heading down the corridor back to the equipment room he'd been in earlier, Joseph had just stepped inside when he heard what he thought sounded like something crashing onto the floor. What the hell? he wondered, turning back around and deciding to investigate; as he headed back down the corridor, he heard a man's voice and ducked behind a door stanchion as the man - who, it appeared, definitely wasn't a part of the Hampton group - began walking down the corridor. How'd we miss this? he thought, turning his revolver around so that he was holding the barrel-end like a hammer.
Waiting behind the stanchion, he waited until the man was just past him, then swung like he was Babe Ruth on speed, nailing the man right square in the back of the head, dropping him like a sack of potatoes. Watching him for several moments, Joseph soon realized he hadn't killed him but had effectively rendered him unconscious; as he stood and watched the man silently breathing, he thought, I can't leave him like this but I can't kill him outright either. Looking around, he saw one of the offices and decided to drag the guy over there and dump him inside; after several minutes of dragging the heavy-set man over, he dragged the unconscious man inside. Cutting the electrical cord off a lightstand, he bound the unconscious man's hands behind his back and left him in the office, making sure to break a piece of metal inside the office door's lock on the outside, effectively turning the office into a jail. He's going to have one hell of a helluva headache when he wakes up, Joseph mused as he headed over to the other side of the building to check on Seth.
Seeing one of the office doors open and what looked like, he bounded down towards the office; as he reached the office, he saw a man lying on the ground and Seth looking as though he'd seen a ghost - or fought one for that manner, he thought. Unlike the man he'd just disposed of, the one in front of them looked as dead as the world was overrun with walkers; without hesitating, he drew his revolver and put a round in the dead man's head, making sure that the man didn't turn - something Joseph had seen countless times over the past few years.
Looking back over at Seth, he said, "You alright, Seth?" walking over to him. "Seth, you alright?"
Sneaking up along the side of the building, Kara forced herself to breathe slowly, calmly, her pistol drawn and pointed at the ground along her side, looking for a place to sneak into the police station from. Isn't this a bitch? she mused. Most people usually try breaking out of police stations, not into 'em, looking around for a window to break open. As she snuck down the side of the station, she noticed the fire escapes coming down from the roof and thought, maybe I can reach them with my coat...
Taking off her coat, she rolled up the sleeves of her worn-and-tattered sheriff's uniform blouse and tried to gauge how far up the fire escape ladder. If I can throw one sleeve over that bottom rung, maybe I can pull myself up and possibly kick open one of these first-floor windows, she thought, thinking quickly as the sounds of the walkers in what looked like a nearby outdoor holding pen continued to growl loudly. Standing up and sliding the now-saftied pistol into a jeans pocket, she whispered, "Here goes," and tossed one end of her jacket up, trying to loop it over the bottom rung of the fire escape ladder. "No dice," she whispered, trying several more times - and failing several more times - before finally getting it looped over. Grabbing the end she'd tossed over, she lifted herself up a moment to gauge the strength of the rung; judging it to be steady enough, she thought, I got one, maybe two tries before Loverboy up front hears me and comes to investigate.
Breathing deeply to steady her nerves, Kara thought, okay, kid, here goes nothing. Pulling herself up, she grunted, letting herself hang on to her coat sleeves and just swing back-and-forth for several seconds. Building up a little bit of momentum - a dangerous thing if she were to fall - she timed her approach so that, when she swung forward, she could raise up one booted leg and smash a hole in the window. One....two.....three! she whispered, swinging herself over and driving her boot right into the window, shattering it inside.
Wincing a moment at the noise, Kara dropped back down and threw her coat over the bottom of the now-broken window, using it to cover any broken shards of window glass remaining. Hoisting herself over, Kara climbed inside the police station and lifted her sheriff's jacket from the window-sill, brushing off a couple small pieces of glass from it before slipping it back on. Looking around, she walked over to the door of the office she'd climbed into and tested the door; finding it unlocked, she quietly opened it and stepped into a long corridor. Looking down one end of the hallway, she heard someone grunting from inside another office; ignoring those sounds, Kara began walking in the other direction, using the walls to provide a little bit of cover.
As he approached the broad-open end of the station, which fronted out onto a nearby street, she heard a man's voice asking about something and paused, frozen in her tracks. Did they hear me? she thought, getting as close to a nearby wall as she dared...and hoping she hadn't been discovered.

Dark eyes watched from a far. Rubbing his fingers against a near by wall had the young man calm. He hated to cause anyone pain especially someone like Dean. Noose crunching up a bit in dislike as Dean hit a Wilkie talkie against a wall getting it to work. With both hands held together Nick approached his boyfriend from behind. "Dean.. If anything happens we can use these. Plus you still have are private one and I got the other." Reaching out to tap him on the shoulder. Once he got the others full attention Nick tried to think of something to say but nothing came out. Not sorry enough to apologized feuld by the urge to assume he was right. "I love you.. Just wanted to say that in case anything happens out there."
With the dead man lying at his feet, Seth looks about and answers Joseph's question with the rage he had built up calming swiftly as he spoke. ".....yeh......yeah...i'm alright." He places his hand on the wall to wipe off the saliva the man had left on his fingers.
He then moves in closer to Joseph. "I had no luck. How about you?" He says with an eager tone, awaiting his answer.

"Good news and bad news, Seth," Joseph said, rocking back and forth on the balls of his feet as he stood inside the office with him. "Good news: I found several high-strength spools of chain and enough radios for what we have to do. I took the radios outside to Dean; he's going through them right now to see if they work.
"Bad news, though, is that I'm going to need help carrying them---" Before he could finish his question, he heard what he thought sounded like the creaking noise someone made trying to sneak up towards something - or someone, he thought, drawing the hammer back on his revolver. "Seth, there's someone outside, in the main corridor," he whispered, motioning for the other man to get his sidearm out as well. "Watch my back while I go to see what's going on, alright?"
Hearing that they got radios and wire made Seth smile. Then Joseph got a look on his face as he prepped his gun in his hand and motioned Seth to have his back. Nodding he drew his gun out as well, slowly following behind as the two creep up on the corner of the hall. Noticing that the presence that Joseph felt is no longer there, they break their cover and begin to make their way into the lobby area where Seth then noticed a door he had walked by earlier had broken glass with on peice still in the frame, in the right position to look like a broken heart but now the shape is messed up. Somebody's in there.
Seth motioned to Joseph whispering, "in there". With his back against the wall next to the door, Seth can hear the breath of the stalker through the wall.
Post by Joseph MacMillan on Feb 6, 2016 16:35:41 GMT -5
Taking a quick peek around the corner, Joseph could clearly see someone trying to use the wall as a shield against being seen themselves. Before he could say anything to the stranger - a not-too hostile stranger by the looks of it, he mused - he heard Seth whisper that someone else was inside a next-door office; judging by the broken glass around the door, someone was inside....but then, who the hell did we hear elsewhere? he thought.
Quickly dashing to the other side of the door, he looked over at Seth and whispered, "Okay, so it would appear we have two problems - one in there," nodding towards the office, "and one out there," nodding back towards the main corridor. "So, do you want to go for stranger number one in there or stranger number two out there? Remember though, Seth: if that safe zone falls apart out there before we can get into position outside and those walkers spill out onto the street, we're all SOL, understand?" It sucked having to make what had to be a forced decision but under the circumstances, his main concern was the stranger in the main corridor, not the stranger inside the office....but he also wasn't about to make a move either way without clearing it with Seth first.

As Dean waited, he noticed Nick joined him. He heard nick told him that if anything happened they could use their private walkies to communicate. “See that’s the thing, I don’t want anything to happen to you.” Dean replied softly. He then turned around again, before Nick slowly tapped his shoulder.
Dean turned around again and looked at him, but nothing followed. Dean wanted to turn around when Nick finally spoke, telling he loved him. It made Dean his heart melt and he turned around, planting his lips on Nick his. “I love you too, just make sure nothing happens, then we can say it again.” He said with a wink, before kissing him again. Then he took some steps back and leaned against a wall, waiting for Joseph.
Sneaking along the corridor wall, Kara froze as the voices nearby grew a little louder...they were soon joined by what sounded like more voices coming from outside. They've discovered me....shit, shit! she thought to herself, standing as rigid as she could. What do I do....what do I do? Think, Kara! Think... she kept thinking, taking momentary glances behind and to her right, towards the police station's entrance, hoping she hadn't been spotted by anyone.
After a few moments, she decided to throw caution to the wind and started calling out to whoever was in the offices in front of her. "Hello?" she yelled. "Hello? Is anyone here? Hello...."
Post by Joseph MacMillan on Feb 13, 2016 3:44:51 GMT -5
Before Joseph could continue, he heard what sounded like a woman's voice in the main corridor, behind him. "Wait, Seth, wait," he whispered, motioning for him to wait. "Did you hear that? I coulda' swore I just heard--" Once again, whoever it was was yelling in the main corridor again; after a moment, Joseph swore quietly and made up his mind on what to do. "Alright, Seth, we don't have a lot of time, so here's what we're going to do. I'm going outside into the main corridor to see who's out there; while I'm taking care of that..."
After a moment, he took out a small, thin piece of metal, reached over to the door to check whether it was locked, then jammed the metal piece into the office door's lock, rendering the door partially useless to whoever it was inside. "That should take care of that for now; while I take care of whoever's out there," pointing towards the main corridor, "I want you, Seth, to head outside and get Dean to help you with those chains. The sooner we get that done, the sooner we can knock out that safe zone and eliminate the problem, okay?"
Joseph hears a voice in the main corridor as Joseph orders Seth to go get Deans help with the chains. He looks to the door to see that there's no way of getting out of the office. Could be one of the raiders, and in the main corridor could be the same. These guys picked the wrong time to mess with them as they are on borrowed time. The sooner they get the wall broke down competley, the better they can all sleep at night knowing the rotters are out of the city. He nods his head and heads out to where Dean is.
"Hey Dean, buddy, i'm gonna need your help with these chains." He glanced at Nick and smiled as he motioned for Dean to follow him inside.

After giving Seth a few moments to slip past whoever it was out in the main corridor, Joseph got up, cocked the hammer on his revolver back and snuck into the opening; after a couple of steps, he drew down on the woman and said quietly, "Hands up, lady! Up, up!" taking another step towards her. "Now," he said, taking a few moments to disarm the lady - a sheriff's deputy, by the looks of it, he mused - "move out and away from the wall," motioning with the revolver on where she was to go to.
"Dean! Seth! Come in here; I found our mystery guest!" Joseph yelled out before turning his attention back to the woman standing in front of him. "Alright, now who are and what are you doing in here? Answer truthfully and you get to live past today, understand?" His voice was cold and hard but under the circumstances cold and hard was the order of the day.
Post by Dean LeMarchal on Feb 15, 2016 23:48:16 GMT -5
Dean and Nick were joined by Seth. He heard how Seth asked if he could get some help with the chains. “On it.” Dean said with a smile. He looked one last time at Nick, then turned around and followed Seth.
But before they were inside, Dean heard Joseph yelling about a mystery guest. He didn’t wait another second and rushed foreward heading inside to find Joseph and a female. She was already unarmed so he didn’t bother raising his gun. “Who’s she, friend or foe?” Dean asked, keeping an eye on the girl.
....Joseph got up, cocked the hammer on his revolver back and snuck into the opening; after a couple of steps, he drew down on the woman and said quietly, "Hands up, lady! Up, up!"
Without hesitating, Kara slowly raised her hands up in the air and stood, frozen in place, as the man walked over to her and quickly disarmed her of her pistol, backing up so that he could keep an eye on her, knowing any misstep or sudden movement would surely result in the man shooting her, a thought emphasized as he motioned her away from the wall...
"Alright, now who are and what are you doing in here? Answer truthfully and you get to live past today, understand?" His voice was cold and hard but under the circumstances cold and hard was the order of the day.
"My....my name's Kara Breckinridge," Kara said, her mountain voice drawn, nervous and trembling. "I been traveling down from Kentucky and I broke in through that window back there," pointing back with one upraised hand as a second individual joined the man who'd drawn down on Kara. "That's the honest truth--"
"If that's the case," the man said, taking a step closer to her, his revolver still aimed at her, "why does your jacket," grabbing hold of her and looking at the jacket for a moment, "have a North Carolina sheriff's insignia on it? What happened? You kill a deputy out there? Tell me right now--"
"That's not it; I am...or was a sheriff's deputy, across the mountains; you gotta' believe me!" Kara said, her voice now with an added bit of panic. "I was a sheriff's deputy back in North Carolina before everything fell apart; I traveled around and ended up with a group in Kentucky for a while," not wanting to bring those particular memories back to the surface," before we got hit by a storm a few months back. Since then, I decided to travel back down, maybe try to get back across the mountain but ended up here," she added, now all-but-trembling as the man kept his grip on her, his cold hard eyes still focused on her. She kept her eyes focused right on him, hoping him - and whoever else was around - would believe her. "You got to believe me, sir; I was a sheriff's deputy back in North Carolina...its' one of the few things I have left in this world," now on the verge of tears and wondering if her time on earth was nearing an end.
