Amarie offered Branden a smile as she turned and went back towards the fire where Arden and Ellie were. Finally, she offered Ellie a hug after she told her tale about being in the city and passing her brother like ships in the night. She just stood there quietly until Remy came out and spoke about the food.
Looking down, she saw the pan next to the fire and quickly knelt down to open the overtly warm tin foil that housed the cooked fish. She was hungry and could have happily eaten it all, leaving Jace, Toby and Arden to their own devices, but she was never greedy like that. They had to work together. Remy offered a peace offering to Paige in the form of a can of stew as she pulled the pan back and picked up the hot fish.
Taking it to Arden, she opened it up in her hand and held it out for him to pick out some of the fish, while she did the same. She followed Remy's gaze back to the house towards Owen and arched a brow as she took another mouthful. "Thanks for the fish. You thank Owen for us too." She knew Arden wouldn't like hearing that but she was thankful there was some fresh food to eat.
The blonde turned to him as he watched his little brother and little sister become reacquainted. "Names Ernie, pleasure to meet you and your gorgeous legs " he said with a grin, "so nice." Ernie smirked and watched her. He was surprised by her tone, usually when he made comments they got angry, but her, she was flirting back.
His eyes watched her brush off her legs and he grinned, licking his lips. "As a matter of fact I do know where he got it, considering he stole it from me. Now I may not be able to get more shit like that, but I'm sure there's shit that will fuck you up around here. What you looking for. You want a wild ride, or a mellow chill."
He out stretched his hand holding the jar of moonshine he had been sipping. "Why don't you start with this. Has a bite, and will knock any light weight like pretty boy there on his ass." He laughed. "But I don't like just handing this stuff out. See Baron, he knows where there's more of this stuff. And tomorrow he's gonna take me to get these drugs. So I'm willing to spare some for him. But you...what do you have to offer?"

As he sat down Nicole was the first to say something but all he heard was mumbo jumbo. Hell what was there wasn't what Baron seen. Nicole was a giant butterfly with a banjo and Ernie's voice was a screeching, squeaking sound. He looked at him and what he saw was indeed a fucking Cockroach just sitting there talking away. He blinked a few times to see if it was reality and it sure was. So he thought. "What?" he didn't know what was going on. And the blonde, Remy, he could see her face. Her real face. That is until she started laughing like Jaba that Hut. And wala, there was Jaba the fucking Hut sitting there on his throne. Baron wanted to fly away from this place. Go somewhere alone and curl up in a ball.
Sweat dripping from his face he looked at the fire and started licking his lips. It was cotton candy. Just sitting there. The type his old pal told him about from Six Flags. He's never eaten it. But he always wanted to and some how these creatures scavenged it up. But for some reason he couldn't get to it. His feet was in quick sand. If he would get up and put weight in it, he'd fall down to hell. So he managed to prop his feet up on the log and sit in a cradled position, probably with his nads hanging out, and he avoided all danger that was before him. Even the little baby Lucifer that Skylar was holding.
Everyone around the fire spoke amongst themselves, but Nic waited for Baron's response. His response wasn't verbal as it was... unexpected.
He looked disturbed, perhaps a little frantic. He stood there, looking almost panicked before he dropped to the ground and propped his feet up. She glanced to Ernie a moment, who was now... engaged with someone else and raised her brow. "What did he take?" she asked softly and looked back to Baron, who was pretty much trashed out of his mind. It was obvious he was on something, she just hoped that whatever it was wouldn't kill him if he took too much and wouldn't make him flip out and go buck wild.
She folded her legs under herself and sat up 'Indian style' and rested her elbows on her knees. "Baron?" she asked in a low voice as she watched him carefully. No one else seemed particularly concerned yet. Maybe this was his MO. Baron just 'did' things and perhaps this group was either used to it or they simply ignored it.
It wasn't her trying to be insensitive, it really wasn't. But watching him just flounder about was almost comical, in a sad sort of way. Not only was he gone most of the day, he came back damn near naked, blitzed out of his mind and looked thoroughly absurd. That's when it hit her.
A smile tugged at the side of her mouth and she began to silently laugh before she just lost it. Nic couldn't stay silent for long before she started laughing. Leaning forward, she just laughed uncontrollably. She glanced to Baron again before laughing even more and looked to the group which made it only worse. Unable to contain herself, she just howled out and fell back against her pack. Uncrossing her legs, she let her boots slam into the ground as she rolled to her left and clutched her stomach.
She didn't know why, but she couldn't help but just laugh. Tears formed in her eyes as she rolled onto her back again. "I... I just can't..." She stood up quickly as her fit of laughter only got worse. She moved away from the fire and moved in the direction of the tree line as her laughter only increased. Breathing was almost non-existent and her abs hurt, but she felt good. Better than she had in a long time.
Nicole moved to a tree and propped herself against it and just let it out. She laughed and it felt good. She didn't care if others thought it was funny, nor did she care if others thought she was off. Right now what mattered is she felt something.

Ellie hugged him back but eventually Arden let go. He stepped back. She explained her journey in the city. He nodded along. "This guy, was he a cop too. Remy ran with a cop, some asshole named Luca," he said quietly. "The prick left her, abandoned her. I went to the city, knew where Remy's apartment was. Found a guy there, he took me to some mansion, said they were there. They lied, turned out to be a rival group. I found Remy and wanted to get out. But shit went wrong and we had to fight these mansion pricks. We killed the leader and the others scattered like rats. So the next day we woke, her asshole boyfriend was gone, friends dead. So we left came here. Found Owen with these bikers, Ernie too. After fighting them, we took back the farm, only a few days back."
He looked away as Remy came out. He looked at the fish she mentioned. It was still warm, she was right. He took a piece, popping a chunk in his mouth. As Amarie thanked her, he nodded, but as she said to thank Owen he looked away. He wasn't thanking him. Owen didn't deserve their thanks. Not after what he'd done.
"Wait, who are you going to take the master with? You and who," Arden glared, "what ever. Just three of the cots go to those three who came with us. They helped load rebar and I said if they did they could get bed and a meal. They are friends of Jace, figured we could help them out. Then they are own their way."
He looked away and back at Amarie. "Fish looks good doesn't it," taking another chunk he popped it into his mouth.

Ellie hugged Amarie back and smiled. It was good to see her old friend again alongside her family. She still hadn't said much to Owen and she could feel something tense in the air with him. Whatever that tension was, Remy managed to overlook it but she wanted to talk to her brother more. She wanted to know how he got the house back and she wanted to know where they go from here.
"Luca, yea. That's what he said his name was. He kind of saved me. His buddy put a gun to my head, which I guess is revenge for me shooting him in the first place for trying to rob me, but yea. The cop, Luca, shot and killed him."
She looked back to the house as Remy came up, offering the food to the strangers while Amarie picked up the cooked fish for him and her. When Remy left, she turned back to him.
"I told him he could follow me back here so he could find Remy. He said she's all he had. I think there's more to it. But he didn't follow me..." She shrugged and picked a little fish out of the tin foil with a wink before sitting back down and enjoying the fire. She watched the interaction with Daisy and Damon and she could tell the girl felt a bit out of place. It showed in her eyes. She tried to engage them both to help them adjust.
"So, Damon is it? How did you help out here?"
Just then, she heard Nicole starting to laugh, not just a chuckle, but a hearty laugh that nearly caused her to stop breathing. She had been laughing at Baron who was so whacked out of his mind, he looked like he had just landed on another planet full of aliens.
"Damn Ernie, what did you give him?"

Amarie looked at Baron who was clearly out of his mind. The look on his eyes said it all and she frowned as she looked at Ernie. Nicole had started laughing but couldn't control that laughter as Baron seemed to be the cause of it all. She started to worry about this.
"Is he going to be a problem? The last thing we need is some junkie thinking he's king of the walkers and leading them all here like the damn pied piper."
She didn't even know how long he would be out of it. She never took drugs or had any desire to. Ernie was the one caught up in all the bad shit. She took a few more bites of fish in the tin foil and although it tasted pretty good she was finding that she was not terribly hungry after all. Maybe she was just too tired to eat, which was a Catch 22. She needed to eat to get that energy back, but it had been a long day. She left what was left for Arden, Jace and the newcomers if they wanted some.
"I'm not that hungry. You and Jace go ahead and finish it off. I'm gonna get my tools and go set up to take watch for a bit." She offered up an exhausted smile as she handed Arden the rest of the fish and went back to the truck to start to unload some tools. It was too late to start working on the rebar and the last thing she wanted was an injury. She could prop herself up on the porch and keep watch for a few hours, then get a few more hours of sleep. It's what she did when she was on her own and her body was getting used to it.

Being introduced to the little baby boy made Branden smile, but more so when his girlfriend got to hold him. Seeing her cradle Walker as it was their own made him wonder about the possibilities of them having a child later down the line, would they even be able to? Could they raise a kid in this horrible world, surrounded by death all the time? It concerned him, but seeing Skylar already doing it strengthen his resolve that it was achievable, it only mattered if and when the two ever wanted.
Soon as Skylar answered his question about where Jace went, he got pulled back to reality and immediately got concerned for his friend. "Are you sure they don`t need any help? Is this girl missing? And what do you mean with your boyfriend, the father of your child? Is he here?" He asked curiously, not knowing whether this Charles was the father or not.
As he waited on a reply he took a short glance at Stormyr beside him who was still holding the baby, but when he turned to look back at Skylar, she had already gone to join the others. He watched as she whispered something in Paige`s ear, and he knew it wasn`t anything nice. Whatever it was he knew better than to get mixed up in some drama bullshit between the girls, she and Paige had never liked each other very much anyway due to Jace.
Amarie came over and mentioned a house nearby they could stay at during their time there, but Arden later mentioned something about sleeping in cots, which had Branden a bit confused, although he figured it best that they maybe took the other house seeing how many people there was.
When he looked over the group of strangers sitting around the fire pit, he realized there hadn`t been done any proper introduction. They were all strangers to each other, which had been neglected by the reunions that was going on. As he was about to clear his throat for everybody`s attention, a rather fat man came stumbling out of the woods wearing nothing but trousers. It was odd to say the least and one could tell he was being influenced by something. With a frown on the face he watched the guy ramble about, which eventually had most people laughing, even Branden couldn`t keep the laughter at bay.

Damon nodded as she confirmed that her name was Daisy. He thought he had heard her right earlier, and was glad that he hadn't messed up. That would have been awkward. Almost as awkward as this new blossoming interaction between Ernie and Paige. He tried to fight off a smile, but couldn't. This new woman was playing him, and he knew exactly what kind of girl she had been before the world ended. He could take a guess at why there was so much venom between her and Skylar. As Ernie called him a pretty boy, he smirked just barely. That was becoming a trend, it seemed, but it was better to be called a pretty boy than something else, he figured. It could have been worse, and Damon wasn't interested in this new blonde that had graced their presences. If Ernie wanted to try and elevate his own masculinity in front of the new girl, Damon was happy to be the scapegoat.
But his smile faded as Baron came scrambling out of the woods, clearly out of his mind. He stumbled over to them and finally took a seat. Damon frowned as he looked into his eyes, saw how disoriented he was. As Nicole fell into a fit of laughter at his plight, Damon's frowned deepened, and he leaned over just barely to try and intercept his line of sight. "Hey, are you okay, man?"
But he didn't have much time to await an answer. Ellie spoke to him, and as he returned to his original position, he rested his arms on his knees as he looked to her. "Yeah, it's Damon. You came with Daisy, right? Arden's sister. Thanks for the supplies, it'll keep us all afloat while we regroup." He warmed his hands by the fire and remembered her question. "At first, I stayed back with Skylar and Amarie to guard the house. But Skylar's brother was out there, and she was worried. So I joined them over here and found Ric, brought him home to get patched up. He had been shot." He paused, realizing that most of these names were new to her. "Oh, I don't think you've met Ric yet. He's Walker's father."
Conversation continued to mill around him, and people came and went. Daisy asked if he wanted to go inside and help the others with food, and he happy obliged. Although Remy had come out with food during his interaction with Ellie, he didn't particularly mind that the moment had passed. The newcomers were mostly nice, it seemed, but despite that fact, it was still getting a little crowded. It would have been different if this was his family, his friends. But the closest thing he had to family was currently looking for his sister in the woods, and he was still adjusting to the others that had joined their combined group. It would be nice to get away from the claustrophobia of the situation, and he was sure that Daisy felt the same. "Yeah, that's a good idea. Let's do that."
Damon stood and offered his hand to help her up, a polite gesture, and together they walked off towards the house. Remy and Owen had the right idea, taking time to break away from the large group and get some air themselves. Damon was grateful for the company, but the sudden influx of newcomers left him feeling fidgety. As he approached the house with Daisy, he took a few steps up the stairs of the porch and opened the door. He leaned against the edge and propped himself up on the handle. "You tired? It's been a long day."
Remy didn't answer, simply walked off and Arden sighed. He's have to have a word with her in the morning. He knew Remy and Owen both had the hots for each other, before and after she left. He'd stop in and she'd ask about him. A vague answer later and the subject would change. Truth was if Remy hadn't left and Owen hadn't gave up on the town, they'd have been a nice couple. But now, seeing Owen, the way he was, Arden didn't like it.
He gave a huff and looked at Ellie as she talked about Luca saving her, and how he knew Remy. "He was close to her, I could tell. Guy reeked of cop even though he didn't say it. Smug Italian prick. If he cared about her so much, if she was truly all he had, why did he leave. He left, left her, went off with his friend. His bromance and sucking the other cops dick was more important to him. Family is what important, those who were family, will be family, he didn't see that. Friends mean nothing. Look how quickly they betray you."
His attention was turned away from his little sister to Amarie. She offered another piece of fish which he took the chunk and popped the piece in his mouth before setting the tray aside."why ain't you hungry," he asked calmly. "You need help with the tools." Looking back quickly at Ellie he moved closer toward Amarie. "If you're gonna keep watch I suggest climbing up to the roof. The tree out back gives you access to the cover over the back deck. From there's its an easy walk. You can see as far as the trees go. Best place for lookout."
Arden looked away. He moved back toward Ellie. "So I take it you're kicking the mom out of your room. Guess she gets a cot unless Ernie is willing to give up his." He looked toward his brother who just shook his head and laughed. "Guess cot it is."
Damon and Daisy both went off and Arden watched his sister. "You and Owen's sister gonna share a room. Roll out a sleeping bag, she can sleep on the floor. Least it would be a room and not a general crowded area." He took a seat on a log and reached for the glass jar of moonshine Ernie held. Taking it from his brother Arden took a sip and offered it to Ellie.

Damon was so polite, kind. She listened to how he spoke to Ellie, talking about all the people here. He had really helped out here, wasn't jut a tag along. People didn't give him enough credit, she could already fell that. Otherwise he wouldn't have been been so awkwardly sitting there, like her. By from the sound of it Damon helped out a lot.
When Remy came out with the food Daisy frowned. She was hoping for a chance to escape, move away from the fire. The tension between the two, skylar and Paige was evident. They felt like two wild dogs circling their prey. She assumed that was Damon, why else would they awkwardly crowd around. But didn't he say Sky was with Ric, they had a baby after all.
Damon stood up and said something about food. Seemed he still wanted to go find something inside. She wouldn't argue. Taking his hand she stood up and smiled. "Thanks," she said calmly, looking away. As the walked toward the house she rocked her hands back and forth, swaying them. "You been with the group a while, been with Arden and Owen long? I know you just took the house back, but what about before?"
Damon opened and held the door for her and she looked up with a smile. Moving inside she went to the kitchen. Being an Owne layout it was easy to find. Inside she hesrd voice, who she assumed to be her brother and Remy. They were followed by the sound of someone searching throug drawers and what not.
Daisy leaned agaisnt the kitchen island and smiled. "Yeah a little. Been a long day indeed. There was a few un-needed stops. But we made it, safely, thank god." She laughed, "had to take care of a few of the dead, so I'm now physically exhausted, and mentally and emotionally from finding Owen again. Been a long day. What about you? From that you were saying, and what Owen told me you do a lot around here. Stopping fights, helping with water. Jumping up at every arrival. Bet you're exhausted too."

Ellie stood and listened to Arden speaking about Remy's friend and she looked back to the house. She really didn't know if she should say anything. Remy had a right to know after all, but by the way Arden was speaking, it sounded like the guy was a jerk for leaving in the first place. She disappeared into the house with Owen and although she didn't know what was going on, she could certainly guess.
She watched as Damon and Daisy left and then Amarie going to get her tools and saying she was going on watch. She saw Amarie wave to Arden and disappear around the side of the house to take her watch. It was nice to have this time with her brother, alone, sort of. At least they were here together.
She sat back down as he spoke about Sky and her baby being in her room. "There's a baby in my room? Well, damn. I don't even know how to take care of a baby. Maybe they can go mom and dad's room? I dunno. I'll share my room with Daisy if she wants to sleep in there."
She looked over at Ernie as him and Arden passed the moonshine back and forth. She looked over her shoulder at the bikers that were standing by the bikes still, talking and holding the baby. She leaned into Arden and whispered.
"What about them? Where are they supposed to go in all this?"

Baron just couldn't take a grasp on reality. Everything he seen wasn't there but it all thrived to be seen as the true reality. Baron didn't know what was real anymore. He glanced over at Nicole who got up and walked away. But there was something off of her. Maybe the way she parted her hair, or the fact that she's a fucking Centaur galloping away into the darkness.
He glances at Ernie and Arden who appeared to be vampires sipping jars of blood while the rest of the folks seemed to be ok. Maybe things were wearing off. He blinked a few times, putting his feet back on the ground trying to calm down. Telling himself that none of it is real. But his thought process was interrupted when he looked down at his feet to see snakes slithering over his shoes. They were everywhere. Slithering out of the logs and fire. Inhabiting the whole area. And that was enough to bring Baron to his breaking point. He got up on the log looking down at the non existent snakes and yelled out. "Snakes!"
Thank goodness they finally vanished. But that was no longer the issue. His underwear was on fire. And it felt real. Probably because he jumped into the cotton candy pit to get away from the snakes. He was instantly brought into realization that he was standing in a fire pit and he quickly got out, ripping his underwear off running around towards the swamp thinking he's still on fire. Running faster than he ever has. He jumps straight into the water, causing a big splash to ripple through the water.
Jace left the house hoping it was a good idea to leave Charles with the girl. Hopefully she would just stay knocked out until he got back with the others. Making his way back cutting through the woods seemed to be the quickest option. He found himself back in the yard looking at the fire and people gathered around it. He then saw Baron flip out and end up in the fire pit. His eyes watch as the man stripped and ran to the water and jumped in. Jace wasn’t even going to ask what his issue was with him. Had to be some sort of drugs.
Jace walked over to the fire to see Paige flirting with Ernie. He rolled his eyes and moved towards Branden and Storm. He smiled seeing Storm with the baby so happy and enjoying the moment. He was glad to have found some of his family in all this madness. Stopping by Branden and Storm he stood watching the group. “Branden Storm we are going to move our group to the next house.” He then moved over to Skylar and Paige stopping in front of sky. “Hey come with me there’s someone you need to look over at the other house. Will explain when we get there. You to Paige.” He said to sky and walked past paige. Both of them went and joined with Branden and storm waiting.
Over by the wood line He found Nicole laughing which made him smile. “Hey my group and sky are headed to the other house. Just be better to be over there with a little more space to breathe. If you want to join I’m headed there now.” He said to Nicole then turned and headed back towards the truck. Grabbing the bags that Storm and Paige had scavenged off the back of the truck he tossed one to Branden then the group headed to the other house.
{Jace,Skylar,Stormyr,Paige and branden have left the thread.}

Damon shut the door behind her, lest anything follow them in. He wasn't particularly worried about anyone following them in; the group had very much broken off to tend to their own devices. Arden and Ernie were happy to see their lost sister, he was sure, and Remy and Owen had gone upstairs. He heard the rattling and the soft murmur of far off voices, and was just as pleased to stay downstairs and relax. The bulk of the group broke off and went in another direction, Skylar in tow, probably back towards the old farmhouse where the Mexican family had departed to. Their little melting pot of a group was slowly melding off into little pockets, and right now, inside the safety of the house with nothing but the comfort of little voices and a new friend, Damon was right where he wanted to be.
Damon watched Daisy lean up against the island, and in response, he relaxed back against the counter across from her, not too far away. Able to take a moment to himself for once, he studied her as she spoke to him. The moonlight shining in through the kitchen window was the only source of light in the house, the fire barely making it in through the front windows. It cast a bit of a shadow on her face, set in the hollows of her prominent cheekbones, but it cast a glow against her blonde hair. Her eyes, a blue tinged with green, almost seemed to shine against the paleness of her skin, the brightness of the moon, and it was only then that he realized how very pretty she was. He had seen her by the light of the fire, in the sun earlier that day, but perhaps the alertness with which he now lived his life had temporarily blinded him to it. Now, against the backdrop of relaxation, he was able to admire it.
He came out of his stupor long enough to listen to her speak, and he responded with a mellow tone. "Not the longest I've been with a group, but probably close to it. I came here with Charles and Tobias, you haven't met them yet." He left out England and Susan; there was no need to have a conversation about the casualties of the two groups colliding. Some of the aggressors within her own family line had caused the fatalities in the first place, and he wasn't about to argue with someone he just met who wasn't trying to bicker with him. "We've been here for about a month now, the lot of us. We were held up in the farmhouse until now. I've known Arden all that time, but I met Owen recently." She didn't need to discuss the circumstances of their meeting with him, for he was sure that Owen had already told her. And if he hadn't, it wasn't his place to intervene. "I bet you're happy to be with your brother again."
Damon became distracted as he heard someone screaming about snakes. He shifted and walked a few paces to get a better view, and saw a butt naked Baron throw himself into the swamp. He frowned as he listened to Daisy speak about her day and asked about his own, already thinking to himself that if he didn't return within a few moments, he would probably have to go dive in and save him before the gators got to him, or he drowned. That thought, combined with Daisy's words about what Owen had told her, made him realize that she was right. He did a lot around the Bayou, and although it wasn't always leadership duties, or heavy duty fighting, he did his own work more under the radar. It was rarely acknowledged, and he didn't mind. Damon didn't do what he did because he wanted some kind of credit or to be patted on the back. He did it because he saw a future at this place, and when leaks appeared in the dam, he was happy to be the person to plug them back up. Birthing a baby, aiding in a feud, stopping fights, they were all things that had to be done to keep the group together. Charles and Arden were good at killing to keep people safe, to stave off literal threats. Damon didn't mind helping out behind the scenes, and as Daisy mentioned that he seemed to do a lot, he smiled at the apparent concern for his exhaustion as well.
"I do whatever I need to as it happens." He returned to his spot on the wall and crossed his arms over his chest as he looked at her. "We're all settling in here, so it's only natural that sparks are going to fly sometimes. I had wanted to change my oil today, but the group had other plans," he chuckled. But that was fine; saving Charles and Skylar, at two different points, was more important than some maintenance. "Maybe tomorrow. I'll have to talk to Amarie later, see what kind of parts she dug up at the junkyard."
It was then that Damon remembered they had entered the house under the guise of getting food, and he spared a glance around the kitchen. He didn't want to take much, mainly because he didn't want to skim off of the top of their food rations, but also because he had eaten fish earlier in the day and it had filled him up more than he had expected it to. But if Daisy was still hungry, he'd rummage something up for her. "You had to deal with the dead, huh? Well, at least you're safe. You're home." He smiled a little, the moonlight catching in his dimple for just a second. "You'll sleep well tonight, I bet. I will, too."
Between her fits of laughter, Baron flipped out, jumped into the fire before discarding what was left of his clothing and making a break for water. Nicole watched, almost in horror as it went down and just watched him go. She literally had no idea what was happening but regardless, her attention fixed to Jace. As he approached, he spoke to her about heading to the other house. She nodded once.
"Alright. I'll grab my things," she whispered and made her way towards the fire pit and gathered up her belongings. She put on her assault pack, placed her weapon sling over her body and kept her M4 at the low ready. She thought about maybe saying goodbye, but in all honesty, she didn't care to do it probably as much as they would care to hear it.
As Jace loaded up and his people looked to be ready to leave, so was she. "Thanks," she said softly to him. She meant it and being part of his group seemed to be more in line with her sort of thinking. Without looking back, Nicole left with them.

Amarie gathered up her tools and placed them on the porch before grabbing her rifle from inside the house. She wasn't sure she would be such a good shot from the rooftop but as she heard the screaming and laughter, she climbed up to see Baron running off towards the swamp before jumping in the water.
"He's gonna get eaten!" She yelled out from the rooftop pointing the rifle in the direction of Baron. It seemed that no one went after him though. He was unhinged on Ernie's drugs and she thought maybe he was the one that needed to fish that boy out of the water.
"Ernie, you go get him. You're the one that did that to him!" Maybe. If anything it was Ernie's drugs that did that to him. She shook her head and turned her back to the fire pit as she looked over the forest. She sat on the edge of the roof, propping her knees up and holding the rifle against her shoulder like a lazy shoulder. She would look back to the fire ocassionally as he sat and spoke to his sister. They needed this time together and she would let them have it before she finally decided to sleep.

Seemed everyone was just leaving. They packed up, took their shit and left. She got it was crowded, but most didn't even say two shirts. They just left. Hell after what Iwen told, them, she figured msybe Sky or Jace would have said something to Remy, or Arden, but instead they just left. Sky didn't even come say anything to Damon, the one she was constantly throwing the baby at, the one who helped birth the child. She just up and left. But it was good, a large group meant rouble, conflict, now they were smaller. From what Owen said it was good. They needed a smaller group.
Daisy smiled at Damon, his eyes. His smile. She hadn't noticed till now, maybe it was because all her attention was on her older brother, but he had a perfect smile. He was soft yet passionate, she could tell. How could these people treat him like shit, ignore him. She shook her head and smiled fiddling with a left out cup on the counter. She looked away fro a brief moment, smiling down at the ground. She did this to avoid staring at him, why was it so awkward. Was it hot in here for anyone else?
Daisy looked back and smiled. Up at him as he talked about how long he'd been there, who he came with. He knew Arden, and from what Owen told her that meant Amarie and Rebecca too. Those were at least fsce she recognized. From the big open window she could see Arden and Ellie by the fire, Amarie moving up to the porch.
"Owen told me about a charle's, what him and Arden have been doing. It doesn't seem safe, fighting like that. Someone should do something. I would, but don't want to get caught in the middle of everything." She looked away again. "I'm glad to have found Owen. I need someone to keep me safe. Unlike Ellie, Remy, Amarie, I'm weak. I don't like fighting, I don't know where to go. So it will be good, Owen is family, that's what is important. Home is where family is. Family is with those you make it."
She smiled again, biting her lip. "So you gonna go off with Sky? They are leaving now. You're close to her right, helped with the baby." Daisy pushed off the counter as she heard someone yell snakes. Seeing Baron hightail it to the water, down the path as he disappeared into the woods she stepped closer to the window. "Should we..should we do soemthing."
Luckily she saw Arden react, going after him. Daisy turned back to Damon. "Was he high or soemthing? He didn't look so good near the fire." She pulled herself up on the counter, sitting on it, feet dangling off in front of Damon. "The trucks filled with old Rebar, I doubt she brought parts too. We can go ask now, if she didn't I can head in to town with you tomorrow. Safer in pairs right, that's what my step-dad said. You don't want to be trapped out of the safe zone alone. Police training I guess."
She leaned back before jumping off them counter and moving toward the door. "Ellie and I got surrounded on the way here.mtruck got caught under some guts and gore. I held the. Off while she freed them, got a good swing in with my nine iron. You ever play golf? I never had, not till today." She chuckled and moved to the door.
"I'm tired yeah, but come on, we can ask Amarie about parts out front."
Seemed the others were leaving the flirty blonde, her cute blonde friend, and everyone else left with Jace and the two Asian gals. Seemed their once large group was now a little smaller. Not that he mattered, nothi changed for him. Besides the fact that all the women, besides family and the one his brother would kick his ass if he touched, were gone.
Guess Owen's little sis would have to do. She'd warm to him, he could tell. As Baron reacted Ernie chuckled. "Man can't hold his drugs, look at this light weight," he said watching him freak out. "Ol' Baron took took to much. Pace yourself, easy go it."
He took the jar back from his siblings and sipped it. Amarie yelled to go after him as he disappeared into the woods. The river wasn't visible, not from the house, A five minute walk, they would have no clue he jumped in. "I ain't doing shit sweety. He stole my drugs, he can die by my drugs. I didn't give him anything, he either stole it, or he had his own. Either way he can handle himself. If I can handle it so can he." He laughed and leaned back.
"Now if you want to, go be my guest you can fish his ass from the walkers. I'm enjoying my fire and booze."
They were leaving, just like that. They gave them food, a place to sleep. Good, now there was more room for his family, the ones who counted. The others left, mood riddance. More food, beds, and safety for them. The only problem was he needed people to put up that fence. He was counting on Jace to be the main hand on that, considering he was down to one. That wasn't the case now. Guess Owen would become useful for soemthing after all, Ellie and Owen could put up the wall, Ernie and Amarie with them.
From what he saw Damon stayed to, he was a good kid, him an Baron were an extra set of hands, provided the later was sober and willing to cooperate. The cattle prod could come in handy. He smirked and watched Ellie. "Guess it don't matter. They helped load rebar, I said I'd give them a meal and a place to sleep. Would have offered cots, they chose the house. Tomorrow we'll unload the truck and start building a fence to keep out the geeks."
He watched Baron jumped in the fire. What the fuck did Ernie give him? What was going on in this guys mind. He had dealt with Junkies his entire life. While Ernie liked to just chill and relax. He was harmless compared to this guy. It was either his first time, or he took to much. Arden guessed the later, probably anymore and the guy would had ODd. They didn't need that.
As he took in the wood Arden looked at Ernie who was just laughing. "Shut up. You've been in this shot how many times. How many god times fucking times have I had to pull your ass out of soemthing like this." He smacked Ernie. He could already feel the glares from Ellie. She babied him, always had. Arden never did. Ernie was a fuck up, but he was family.
"I'll get him," Arden said standing up from his seat. He gripped his shotgun. Coming to the river through the trees he followed a relatively cleared out foot path and listened to the screaming. Seeing Baron in the water Arden threw down the gun. Taking off the sling he watched around. It was dangerous, to many things could go wrong.
He saw a swish of a tail in water. "Baron get the fuck out now. Come to me, swim to voice. It's Arden. Come you fat fuck swim to me," he said taking off his sling and shirt, ready to dive in if her had to. He picked up the gun and aimed at the water. "Get out," he fired a shot, into the water saw blood coming from the croc. "Move."
