Shauna listened carefully to Evelyn's words,
" Think you can handle it?”
Straight way she knew her sister would want to go hostile with her, but Shauna remained relaxed and kept herself calm. All she did was raise a finger to Sinéad to keep her quiet and to get her to keep the temper in. The last thing they needed was her sister going on a rant.
She had begun to notice the shift in her sisters moods, it had been her sister who had convinced her not to join with the bikers and go it alone. But Shauna knew for Sinéad it came down to more trust issues, it was hard for her to trust strangers and even more for her not to see the worst in them. It was who she was. But Shauna kept her smile and still held hope.
Shauna could see why Evelyn was alone, she took risks that Shauna found idiotic and that could easily get someone killed in her view. But that was her view, there were also a few other things she disagreed with that Evelyn said. But as she began to think about it more, she placed herself in Evelyn shoes and tried to see it from her point of view. It was Shauna's way of tying to understand someone and this just reinsured her that maybe Evelyn could be saved from her herself plus be trusted.
Sinéad walked beside Shauna and whispered her discontent about her.
" Why are we letting her make the orders. She nearly got us killed."
Shauna shuck her head. Taken her note book out of her pocket, she whispered back and began to show annoyance towards her sister.
"Sinéad for god sake give it a rest, " She open the book and point to a page in the middle before flipping to another to do the same to that page," Like it or not she was right about the walkers and there types. Plus she went out a top window and not the ground floor which shows she ment no harm as she said. I trust her"
As they proceed around the corner the first thing Shauna noticed was that Evelyn was on the ball in her judgement, there were only two walkers between them and the shop.
Shauna held tight to her pitchfork, the pitchfork was an ideal size for her and went from her hip to the ground. The head held three straight tines which gave better aim and been made out of a hard metal made sure it could take a blow. The top was T shaped which gave her better grip and push. She had found it on a building site and ever since then had kept it close. She would of preferred a sword or pike but she had yet to get her hands on any and her sister rarely let her machete out of her hands.
As she approached the first walker which had been rather near, she swung the pitchfork like a club to the side of the walkers head. Missing her target point she hit him right in the shoulder which still made him fall to the ground and before the walker could react she impaled him in the head. She turned to Evelyn.
" As long as you communicate with me I'll trust your judgement and go with your plan. " Shauna knew she could say so much more but knew she'd have better chance of causing problems. As she glanced at her sister she could tell she didn't agree.
