It took several hours before Simon could find his way back to Remy's old apartment where he knew medical supplies were stocked up. It wasn't much, but it was enough to get Luca back on his feet after he was clocked in the head and shot in the leg. He already had the story lined up for when Luca started asking questions.
Luca falling for that girl was a mistake. He knew it and he would show Luca back. He could see it in his friend's eyes that he had become soft. He saw the way he looked at her and smiled back at the bar. He was convinced that girl would get his friend killed and they had already lost everyone else. It was time to reclaim what was theirs and the only thing that was on his mind was revenge against the girl that shot him.
Dodging the walkers in the street that were drawn to Colette's place because of the fight, he finally found the apartments that had been left to the elements in the past two weeks they had been gone. It was no worse for wear as he pulled up and parked the little toyota he stole. He hated that stupid car. He wanted a big truck but they would find that eventually. Ellie had one and he was determined to take it from her. Pulling Luca out of the car, he brought him back up to Remy's apartment, which was quick a haul considering the weight and his own injury. Luca was bleeding, but where he shot him wasn't that bad. No vitals organs were hit and the bullet was lodged in the muscle. The flesh was already cauterized from the flash and heat from the muzzle of his gun so the bleeding was minimal. Once upstairs, he lowered Luca into the bed and left him there, while he searched the bathroom for instruments needed to get that bullet out.
It was a messy process that involved tearing up more skin and muscle with a pair of long tweezers and some witch hazel he found in the medicine cabinet, but once the bullet was out and thrown to the floor, he was able to patch Luca's leg up with those large bandages Remy brought back from the college and he could keep Luca doped up from the pain for a few days.
