Created this thread to post in for events throughout the night, plotting and such. Old thread was getting a bit long and we need to get rolling to get into the Wake up Call thread.
Somebody came in and took up position of where he was. It was the rotation of the guard. Slinging his rifle, Victor left the room and went downstairs. Into the bar area, he picked up his bags and listened to what everyone was talking about. The plans to defend and feeling the tension. Counceling was what these people needed to be able to work together. Watching as people were arming up to fight. So he went with some people going to the supply room. Pulling out his empty clip, he was looking for 7.62 NATO rounds. Victor was going through the ammo cans. Finally, pulling out an ammo can from the back. Flipping open the lid, he saw what he was looking for. Loading up the empty, he fully loaded it with the thirty round. Putting it back in his one clip pouch on his belt, Victor closed the lid and left the supply room.
Back in the bar area, he crossed his arms and leaned against a wall. His eyes looked at the Windows and then to the door at the side entrance. "If I may add in, we might want to board up some of the Windows and doors. It buy some time since they out number us. If we can slow down their advance into the hotel, then that could give us some time to evacuate the young, elderly and injured through the sewers. So...where do you store your nails?" Reaching into his bag, Victor pulled out a hammer from his tools.

Remy had been with Arden, calming him down in her room while Luca and Simon kept to the rooftops. What they were talking about, she had no idea and really, she didn't care. They had bigger fish to fry as they had to work on the defeat of Acer. "I don't know Arden. You don't give Colette the credit she deserves. If he wanted us dead, we'd be dead by now. He's waiting and I've heard people talking about him and Colette having some sort of agreement. Maybe even him having a thing for her. Either way, it's buying us time. So come on. I need to help Dan make them fire bombs. You go find gasoline or something that you think can take them out in bigger numbers."
She started towards the door, but stopped, looking back at her cousin.
"You be nice, for me. Just do me this one favor. Don't attack Dan again, okay?"
She opened the door to the room and started out down the hallway, heading down the stairs, back towards the bar where she could shred the sheet into long wicks they could set on fire and lob at any intruders. She knew they were taking a huge risk staying here, but she couldn't just let Colette lose her place because of James. In a way, bringing him in was partially her fault when she opted to help him.
"You need to know something, Arden. You and me won't be going alone. There's someone else here that will come with me. We have this...agreement." She didn't know what else to call it with Luca. Their relationship was easy..at first. They were friends and they shared a bond from the beginning. That bond started to grow tighter as they kept that agreement solid. They rode together, they slept together and so far, they managed to stay together.

Damon stood still a moment as she had kissed him as it had flustered his thought. He paused and thought about the times handful of times they had kissed, yet all of them seemed to have been insignificant compared to this one. He listened as she spoke yet noticed her tone was different now. More assertive. He did not even speak for a few moments only nodding as she spoke of finding him.
Damon listened attentively as she grabbed his hand and spoke. He counted to three In his head before kissing her. This time softly laying a hand on her cheek. He then leant back onto his right foot and pulled away maintaining eye contact. Few words need be spoken he felt at this moment. They both felt the same way right now. He removed his hand from her cheek and smiled.
"Well Ill leave you to it then Sammy, Ill make sure too have some Coffee waiting for you." Before leaving he looked up to the person who would be treating Samantha "Take good care of her. Alright." He was more making a demand than asking the person. Damon was sure Samantha needed treatment now, he turned and headed down the corridor and upstairs.
He found that an unused room across from the one he and Samantha shared had a nice big window with blackout curtains. He placed his rifle between the curtains giving him cover from sight and looked down on the street through his scope, he made sure besides the hallway little light was inside the room. He heard people moving everywhere but as a great shot with the rifle he knew his role. No need for strategy or lecture. If everybody did a job, and did it well they would be safe.
There was no new blood outside which suggests Rollin' was still trapped inside the small building across the road. This brought a smirk to his face, knowing the bastard was suffering right now. Sipping some coffee he returned to observing the street and making a mental note of Acers men's positions, routes people patrolled. Any pattern or bit of information available. Anyone made a move on the front door, Damon was in a prime location to shoot.
The room had a bed which he had moved towards the window and with a bedside table was able to lie down flat and comfortable, yet ready to fire. The table had two coffee cups and a flask waiting for Samantha to come find him. Now it was in every sense both for company and activity with his rifle the waiting game.

Cade was still the bar. He had given his own people tasks. Gathering items for Dan and to help with the perimeter. He had some go toge storage room and fill a duffle bag with all the guns. Once loaded they could disperse all the weapons. 15 rifels, both automatic and hunting, 10 handguns, 3 shotguns, and a submachine gun. It was miniscule, but that's all they had. If others had their own they would have to share some, make sure everyone got a weapon.
It was up to him and Angel to make sure everyone had a job. He didn't know where Clayton was, or if Collette was okay. She was with Jame, he just shook his head at the thought. He needed James to build up those barriers. They needed protection.
As Victor came in he looked at him. He heard him out. "Talk to James about that. He is the contractor. He was supposed to help reinforce walls, Windows, and doors."
He turned to Angel, "how's the ammo coming. Did you assign anyone to fill the clips. most have ammo already in them, but we need more. Can't hve any clips empty."
Earlier the doctor had came to him, asking how things were. His answer was simple, not good. He still believed it. They needed bombs, and lots of them. He had told Andrie to just get ready to help the wounded, there would be some. He could fight, but they needed him to treat injuries. For now he asked Andrei to help with weapons, or to make bombs of his own. The guy seemed to be capable of such a thing.
He leaned against the table that had lists of items and an guns they had. He put his head in his hands. Where was Collette.
Nolan spent most of his time helping with the boarding of the windows. Then he'd take himself to a balcony and he'd watch, that is all he could do.
The shaking from the lack of alcohol was coming down to a mere tremble in his hands. The doctor had changed his bandages again and they felt way better, even the smell was beginning to fade now. Pulled together these people worked quiet well together and things were getting done.
With the last board and nails he had available he knocked four nails into each corner with one pop. Growing up working Nolan had loads of skills these people needed he could hunt, build, plumming, electric, grow food, and that was just the tip. If they survived this he would show them.
Grabbing up his rifle he headed for the balcony he was previously stationed before being called to do fortifications. Up stairs he sat down and bowed his head in prayer, it had been a while since he'd believed God had stuck around for them. But Nolan prayed for them all.
"You expect me to follow some drunk? She's piss ass wasted slurring words and shit. So I ain't giving her credit. If all this is just over some pussy then yall are fucked up. I saw his mansion burn to the fucking ground. Why ain't he knocking down the door. Fuckin mind games cuz, I always hated them fucking sucks. If that's all that is some fucking mind game for some sick fuck to get laid."
He let out a long breath, looking at Remy. His leaned on forawrd, hands on his knees. His eyes just glared, as he listened to her spoke. He had enough of this bullshit. They should just cut ties and run.
"I won't touch the square again. It if he puts you in harm I can't promise he won't fall again. I ain't gonna let anyone hurt you Remy. Not this fucking Acer, not no stick in the ass slow talking fuck. These people are gonna get you killed Remy, it's obvious."
He stood up as she spoke. "Who the fucks coming? That Dan? You draggin' him along. He some fuck toy? That the arangemet? Brining some whipped bitch to carry your purse. I can't promise to keep them alive. Anyone coming has to look out for themselves."
Angel stood opposite Cade at the bar. She stared over his list," well, what about the soldier boys, Dallas and Victor, we should get them to help Dan gather up those chemicals I told him about earlier." She grinned for a moment as a sick thought crossed her mind," hell, there might even be some fertilizer out in that garden shed." Angel glanced over at Victor," you think you could make something with that stuff?" She looked at Cade," Andrei is gonna take care of wounded with the red head, so we should set them up in the kitchen," it's the most sterol place and it's an interior space, so well covered. " she glanced around," I'lol get Des and fill all empty clips and hand them out, along with extras shells for the shot guns." She frowned," what about the gift shop, we got lighters and some of those squirt guns, all shoved in boxes from when we scavenged it years ago, can we put gas in those and make some kind of like flame thrower?" She was grasping at straws," we need James to get with some of the men, maybe Clayton and Anthony, they should be able to use hammers, and go room to room, securing doors and windows. Use the tables, night stands, dressers for wood, whatever we have."
Post by Remy LaCroix on Dec 4, 2015 20:24:03 GMT -5
Remy went down the stairs and towards the bar, where she stopped before opening the doors. "Yes, I do expect you to follow her and she's not a drunk. She's owned this bar for years and I never once saw her take a drink. She probably just took something for her hand. It got busted up."
She turned back to Arden as he spoke about Dan, calling him a square. In a way he was a bit square. She knew he had a passion for his work and that seemed to be what he did in his waking hours. But what else was he passionate about? It was something she may never know. This wasn't the time or place for passions and if they made it out alive, she still wasn't sure he would let her in that deeply to find out.
She blushed furiously as Arden called Dan her fucktoy. She never looked at him in that light. Well, maybe, for a second, when they were trapped at the college. She had a small urge to kiss him once they made that connection, but that's all it was. "What? No, not Dan. He's a friend. Luca is who I'm talking about." Arden had no idea who Luca was, considering he was staked out on the roof. "He's ..guarding. I guess." She opened the door and grabbed the sheet she had every intention of tearing apart and stuffing into the bottles of liquor. She knew suspicious eyes would be on her cousin, but she brought him back from the edge of getting himself killed once. She could do it again. "He can keep himself alive. We all can here, Arden. It takes a lot to stay alive these days. I figure if people make it this far, they have a pretty good chance. Don't you think?"
When Angel called his and a guy named Dallas out, his eyes shifted to her and a feint smile across his face. She asked him about making something out of the fertilizer. "Well, it depends on what you got out there. If it's the natural kind which is manure, you better scratch it off. The moisture in it won't let it fire up. Then you will be smelling it. Now if it's the chemical kind, I might be able to make some explosives out of it. But I will be needing Dan's help since it sounds like he knows a good bit of chemicals, and if we got fuel like kerosene or diesel.I will be needing a gallon of it." With some people's eyes on him, he would say. "What? When your a lad in the Bayou, you tend to do some stupid shit out there. I will take a look. If nothing pan's out, I'll help him make some chemical bombs that should be potent." When she mentioned about making flame throwers from water guns, he shook his head.
"Angel, that would be a bad idea. If one of those guns has a leak and you start shooting, the gun will catch and explode. Plus the range would be limited and the plastic would eventually start to melt making the hazard of said gun and person to burst into flames. Me, Dallas and Dan will figure something out for a flame thrower ma'am."
Pushing himself off the wall, he put his hammer back into his bag and closed it. Setting it in the one corner, he made his way to the court yard door where he could see the out line. Lifting up his rifle, he slowly opened the door. Scanning the area by pointing around and looking carefully. Not wanting to waste time, Victor ran for the shed. When he got to it, he leaned against it and tried the door knob. Unlocked. Pushing it open, he slid inside examining the room for signs of people. Empty. Feeling around, he found the light switch and tried it. Nothing. "Worth a try." Some of the moon light lit up parts of the shed. Seeing electronic weed wackers, some gardening tools, Tiki torches with oil next to it. "Jack pot...now about them fertilizer bags." Feeling around again, he stumbled upon a big heavy bag. Pulling it out into the light he saw what he was looking for. It was the bags. Looking them over, he read that these were the chemical kind. "Leave it to us to be using this shit."
He needed a dolly cart since he wouldn't be able to carry more then one at a time. In the back, he saw a pair of hooked shaped handles sticking out of the darkness. Reaching for them, he got a good grip on them and pulled. The dolly came rolling out It was in decent shape. loading the bags onto the dolly, his shoulder began to act up. "Damnit...worse timing ever. Can't slow...Down grrr" Four bags was all that was left. Placing eight tiki lamps and two bottles of Tiki oil on top of the bags, he tilted the cart using his weight to pull back on the handles. Turning on its wheels carefully, he began walking out of the shed. It was quiet outside. No insects, no birds. Nothing. Eerily silent. Not liking it, he ran back to the building and as he crossed through the door, he heard a faint gun shot off in the distance and the sound of a body hitting the ground with the splat sound afterwards. Closing the door and locking it, he wheeled his findings into the bar area. When he entered, he saw Remy and her cousin Arden in the bar area.
Thinking for a moment, Victor looked at Arden and said. "Arden is it? Think you can give me a hand with this stuff? My left shoulder is starting to act up and I could use the help. If not I understand."
"Getting Andrei set up in the kitchen is a good idea," Cade said nodding along to Angel's plans. "It should be farely clean, I don't think we have used it a while. Not like someone made a big breakfast today." He leaned further on the table. "As for the water gun flame thrower, that won't work. It's good in theory, but has a chance to explode as Victor said. I have seen to many videos of that happening. Is the fertilizer won't burn maybe it has another use. Set up sand bags in the upper windows and balconies. Sniper posts, port holes for guns to come through." He paused. "I asked James to come, he went up with Collette and I haven't seen hims since. Anthony was still wounded last I checked, but he may be mobile now. Clayton is still locked away in his closet. I haven't been able to get him out. Have Des distribute the guns, our people first." He knew Angel didn't like the group that joined him, so he hoped she would agree. "They have their own supplies before ours."
He looked at Remy and Arden going to make more moltovs. That would help, but they woul need more. Victor went over to him and Cade turned to Angel. "Did anyone tell you when Collette's drugs would wear off?" He paused again looking at the table. "I just wish they would attack, get it over with."
"Drugged up, Drunk, don't matter. Hard to follow her when she ain't even stable. Why ain't we attackin' them? None of t'is waitin' crap. We sit aroud waiting for them it will end badly. Always strike first and hard, like whoever burnt down the mansion," Arden said following her down the stairs. When she stopped he stopped, crossing his arms. He listened to her speak about Dan and someone named Luca.
"Who the fuck is Luca? Sounds like some mobster prick? He wear a track suit? Gold Chains? Rings? He some pasta spinning fuck? So you just fucking this Luca, or is there more there Cuz? I ain't playing games by bringing some boytoy of yours along. Either he serious, or he can get the fuck out. He ain't even come to see you once. So what he on guard, lots of people here to do that. Some comotion goes on down stairs and he ain't even made a peep. Bet he don't care for you, only provolone and canolies." Arden looked away. "This Dan guy though, he just a friend? You staging he sorry as too? Bet he dies in all this. Guys ain't a fighter Remy. Couldt even take a simple hit. You say they can handle themselves. I see people without guns, not barriers. There was fucking children running around. Ain't gonna protect shit, they gonna die Remy. Maybe some like the bearded fuck who dislocated my arm, or the skinny bitch kid will live. They fighters, but the rest, they're fucked."
He followed her into the bar. Right away some guy apporached him. He was the one who pointed the gun at him when He first arrived. Arden just snarled, "the fuck you lookin' at?" The guy explained himself and Arden gave a fake laugh. He looked at the supplies. "The fuck you doing with this? Fertilizer ain't burnin' worth shit." He took a tiki torch, "these could be lit and thrown like spears, or set up as traps." He set it back down and looked at Remy. "As long as I don't have to leave this bar I'll help."
Post by Remy LaCroix on Dec 7, 2015 10:16:12 GMT -5
Remy groaned as Arden kept on and on about an attack plan. She didn't know what Colette's plan was. All she knew is that she offered to make the molotov cocktails with Dan to help protect them. Colette, Cade, Dan and James were the ones that new Acer the most and they were the ones that could likely have the best plan in place. At the bar, she stopped and looked at Arden, putting her hands at her hips.
"Dammit Arden, I don't know! I'm not in charge here so I don't know what their plan is. I suspect it will work, whatever it is as I ain't got no intention of dying. Worse comes to worse, we get out and run. But that's our last option. So why don't you just make sure your gun is loaded and get ready to aim. You're a hunter, you can take care of the enemy from a distance."
When he asked about Luca, she couldn't help but shake her head. His gruff manner made her laugh sometimes and this was no exception to that. She knew, deep inside, he cared about her and she hoped he would care, at least a little bit, about her happiness in whatever form it may come. When she was with Luca, alone, there was a light at the end of the tunnel. "Yea Arden, Luca is the guy I'm fucking, okay? He used to be a cop and he's probably one of the best shots here, so leave it alone. He's coming with us and that's that. Dan is my friend and if he wants to come too, that's fine. But you need to back off..."
Just as she was speaking, Victor came up and started to speak to Arden. Her cousin could certainly hold his own when it came to fighting. She also knew he could provide a myriad of ways for them to protect themselves. She looked at Victor as she started tearing the strips, making long wicks they could set on fire and throw across the street or down on the sidewalks. Dan was already taking the caps off of the bottles as she was starting to work, soaking them into the nozzles as she spoke.
"You should listen to my cousin. He knows a lot about shit."

Having assisted Colette up the stairs to her room, James made his way back down. He knew he probably had taken a longer time than he should have, but he needed to make sure she was alright before he left. Passing the rooms through the corridor on the second floor, he spotted people talking and walking around, and when he finally reached the lobby, he understood Arcade had been waiting on him at the bar. Despite their differences and interest in Colette, they had been put in charge to fix the place up. It wouldn`t be easy, but they had to do it. None knew when Acer would attack, although with preparations they would at least stand a better chance of surviving.
“Hey, sorry I`m late.” He said and entered the bar, stepping over to where Arcade and his buddies had gathered. By the look of things they had already started planning, and there were some molotov`s stocked up to be used. “So, what have you guys figured out? You got any plans yet?” James asked curious, glancing at each other`s faces as he waited for an answer.
When he heard Arden's question of what Victor was looking at, he had noted his way of talking. So Victor spoke back. "Well it would seem I'm looking at you Arden, would you prefer I address you by looking at a wall?. Now a question I have, what part of the swamp are ye' from?" Watching the man look over everything that was on the hand cart and explain some things about everything. Then Remy added her two sense about her cousin knowing alot about shit. Smiling he shook his head. "Well then Arden, you can take the lamps and the jugs of Oil. Make out of them as you see fit then. As for the Fertilizer. With the chemical stuff, did you know if you dried out the moisture from it, leaving the Ammonium nitrate on the chips inside of the bags and then threw fire onto it, you got yourself a make shift bomb?" Victor looked at both Arden and then Remy. "Now we got four hundred pounds of this stuff on this Dolly. I'm going to split each of them in half and bagged in different objects such as empty can's, bags, whatever I can find." Seeing and hearing a man he briefly met for a few minutes, he hadn't caught his name from earlier. But when he heard his question, Victor looked at him and said. "Yeah, we bored this place down as best as we can. Me, Dan and Dallas are going to make some...Surprises for Acer and his men." Taking the Tiki staff torches and the jugs of oil onto the bar counter. He would look down under the it and saw a set of hoses. They were heading for the kitchen. Leaving the fertilizer bags in the bar area, he followed the lines. Eventually he ended up in front of a door with a padlock. Taking his rifle, he woulwould smash the lock off with the butt. Opening the door, he saw four bottles of propane in the back. One was hooked up with the hoses that lead him here, leaving the other three in the back. Pulling two out then the third tank, Victor felt one was lighter then the other two greatly. It was an empty tank. Even empty tanks can explode.
Pulling the tanks into the bar area, he lined them up next to the dolly. Victor began searching for anything else useful for them. He was also looking at points of the building that needs more protection by boarding up or stacking up junk against it.
An hour later after Tanya and Lily went to Tanya's room.
Tanya walked out of her room leaving Lily to relax from the fun they just had together. With a smile on her face, the Russian walked down the hall and went downstairs fully dressed. With her gear back on her, she walked into the Bar area. Seeing that everyone was busy working, but she wasn't expecting to see the guy named Arden there as well helping out. Shrugging to herself, she went to the kitchen where she grabbed her picture off the prep area counter and put it back into her pocket. The room was a bit different now since the last time she saw it. It looked like someone had went through everything looking for who knows what. Closing the doors to the cabinets and the closet, she went back out and stepped over next to Angel. Leaning against the counter, she looked at both Cade and Angel. It would seem that they were working together to get people organized and get them busy for whenever Acer was to attack, If he was going to. Her eyes wondered around and saw James. Tanya had to know everyone's names and faces for when she went out looking for supplies. Every now and then she delivered supplies to James. Either it be Nails, screws, or whatever else he had requested from the scouts and runners. Looking at how his attitude towards the others reminded her of her father. Letting out a slight sigh, she looked back at Angel."Hey Angel, you want me to do something? I don't want to be just sitting or standing by a window the whole night. I want to do something, but don't know who needs or wants my help." She was a fast learner for when someone shows her something to do. Looking around, she saw everyone was busy doing something or another. Either putting up barricades, prepping bombs, or standing guard. Tanya wasn't one for just getting up and doing something random. She needed to be pointed in a direction first. Much like how she does her runs. She's told where to scout out and what to look for. Easy ways is sometimes the best for surviving. Without some sort of Order, everything would just fall apart. But her mind quickly went back to what had just happened between Lily and herself and that made her look down at the counter and bite her lower lip. Damn, this wasn't the time or place to get excited again and not a time to think about a possible second round with her. Her eyes went back to Cade, "Or do you have something for me to do Cade? Dont want either of you two stepping on each other's toes. I think it be easier if Cade gave orders to the men and Angel gave orders to the women. Not trying to sound sexiest or anything, but it would help each of you to split the load. Just a thought." She would then push herself back off of the bar counter and stood up straight looking at each of them.
Dan had been busy at work. He had the bottles ready, stuffing rags inside to light. He worked fast, ripping and tearing the cloth with ease. He would stuff inside, rolling the rag so it would slide in easily. It was tedious work, repetitive, he enjoyed it.
Seeing Remy come in he smiled and looked back down at the work. He saw the sheet she brought and moved some bottles over toward her. "Everything okay with you and your friend," he asked looking away, "he seemed heated earlier. He always like that? I was just trying to help you, I didn't want a fight."
He watched the man who had attacked him interact with Victor. When Victor spoke Dan cleared his throat.
"If I may," he said calmly, "fertilizer bombs won't work. If you have the chemicals and the time to do so it still won't work. Ammonium nitrate isn't explosive. You would still need a detonator to explode it. Plus the type of fertilizer you have there, commercial fertilizer, it doesn't contain ammonium nitrate. So Arden is right, they won't be of much use. Maybe see if James can use them to reinforce something."
Victor went off leaving the fertilizer, seeming to ignore what Dan had said and not commenting. He sighed. "Remy, I was looking over what chemicals we had. Drain cleaner, and bleach are a nasty combination. It makes a gas based bombed when mixed right. Highly poisonous, deadly. I almost think it's to deadly to use. But that was about all I could make with what I saw. Explosives and bombs often need a detonator, which we don't have."
"What the fuck? You're fucking a cop? The scum of the fuckin' earth," Arden said shaking his head. Their family business, or the shipment they got in wasn't always legal. The cops wild always poke around, but the jurisdiction was not in bayou. It was free range out there, still that didn't stop them. His family didn't like cops, especially his brother and father. "Thought you were better than that. Rollin' with a pig. At least he can shoot."
He looked at Victor as he asked him about where he was from. "The fuck it matter tah you? Swamp is swamp. Gulliame, the Bayou," Arden said with a snort. He looked at the tiki torches and the fuel. He just Glared at Victor waiting for him to leave. He shifted his glare to Dan when the man spoke. Once Victor was gone Arden stepped closer to Dan.
"And who the fuck are you. Remy's little side thing? Just lusting after her, carrying her fucking purse. You ain't protecting her, her man ain't even doin' that." He crossed his arms. "You some scinency type? I can see it, nerd with his little pocket protector. How the fuck you survive this long."
Dan just ignored Arden's comments and spoke to Remy. Arden liked up a tiki torch.
"Eh, you know where these people are? Where they be hiding? Why they ain't attackin'," he asked looking around the room. "How you know what side they comin' from? Can't prepare anythin' if you ain't ready." He saw two people at a table and walked over to them.
"You fuckers, you in charge? You got propane tanks? We can take the fight to them. Have people throw them, roll them. Sniper on your fuckin' roof just shoot the tanks."

"Former cop, Arden. We all the same now. Everyone is playing on equal ground. Besides, who I sleep with ain't none of your business." She shook her head and went back to the business of making the cocktails.
Remy smiled softly to Dan surprised he would even want to talk to her at this point. She tucked a stray blonde hair behind her ear as she started to soak the strips she was starting to cut away.
"Yea, I'm okay. Sorry about that. My cousin is a wild animal. He was like that before and is worse now. Blood is blood. I guess he's just being over protective. Are you okay?"
She shot Arden another look as he spoke to Victor and Dan. Dan was just a friend and like mind and he would have to get used to it. She wondered, in a way, if he was jealous. She wondered if he secretly wished he had friendships also. When Dan spoke about the chemicals, it gave her an idea. A deadly combo of chemicals could choke them from the inside out.
"Chemical burns will make them think twice. I wonder if there's a way we can mix them and put them in the buildings where his men are. The fumes alone just may kill them."
