There was a big disagreement in the room about what to do next, Clayton wanted to hand over James and Dan, whereas the others disagreed strongly saying the best option would be to fight back. James was caught between a rock and a hard place, not sure what he wanted. He understood both sides as to why they wanted to do as they suggested, but people would die nonetheless, innocent people. He feared the war would turn out badly for their part, James had wanted to hand himself over, yet there was little effect that would do, that much was certain.
Looking at Clayton as he pointed, he folded his arms and kept quiet throughout the whole discussion. Everyone was rising to defend him and Dan, which he hadn`t expected at all, certainly not from Colette who had been clearly angry at him since the day Kim died. She went into a frenzy wanting to go through with her plan rather than submit to a man like Acer, and Remy acted the same way, neither wanted to hand them over. Dan thanked them both before James could, but his look showed the same gratitude.
Eventually Remy left the room, and Clayton followed shortly after. It had been crowded there since he got in, people just didn`t seem to care about privacy when Colette was home, they all had something to say. James felt bad for what Colette had to endure on daily basis, no wonder why she was in a bad mood, looking exhausted. Then once some turned to leave, others entered, such as Claire and Angel, followed by a new man who at first sight went over to deal with Colette`s hand.
Who was he? And what were his intentions? Was he a doctor? James became curious, not sure how to react, although Colette seemed to have it under control. Hopefully he wasn`t dangerous or doing any worse harm, Andrei was their doctor who should be the one to look at it, knowing he could trust him above a stranger who just came in.
Angel told James to stay put and help Colette, as if she was commanding him to not go out there and do something stupid. To be honest, the girl somewhat scared him, she had been quite frank with him in the courtyard earlier, and she certainly cared a lot about her friend. “I will stay…” James said in response, deciding he should be there. Turning to look at Colette and the stranger, he noticed the glance she gave him, to which he returned with a smile on his face.
Stepping over to her side, he watched as the man treated the arm. It was fascinating to watch, and he followed everything he did, fearing for Colette`s safety as he didn`t trust him. Acer had many plans, for all they knew Victor could have been Acer`s lackey, now on a mission to infiltrate. Once he left the room, James took the opportunity to ask. “Do you trust that man?”
