Kelly rounded on Jake, he had murder in his heart, hate on his mind, and a fire that was going to burn them all in his eyes. The man ha put hands on him for the last time Kelly kept his pistol drawn and as Jake turned to walk away Kelly stuck it to the back of the man's head, "Listen here you limp dicked mother fucker! I has had about enough of you arrogant sons of bitches, the punching and grabbing from you is a lot to take. I've taken worse from my pa and you know what I did to him? I gutted him like a deer in our family barn while my drunk abusive granny watched."
Kelly waved everyone back, "Step closer or react funny in any way and I'll blow his goddamned head off! I want the truck keys now and your weapons tossed into the truck bed now," Jake and them might not realize but Kelly is extremely strong and when angered its double so he reaches a big massive arm around Jakes neck squeezing with all his strength keeping the gun behind his ear, "Same gun too Jakey. It packs a mean fucking punch! I want yalls shit now! ALL OF IT! Get that half dead fuck out of the truck too and I'll be on my way because I'm going to catch up with yer friends who left yall and fuck the shit out of that real pretty lady while I felay that nasty biker piece of shit."
Kelly was not messing around and his cold unforgiving words rang with 100% truth, "I don't know how you people made it, peace and love and shit! If you people are alive when I come back to my state of birth I plan on killing each of you....try me!"
With that Kelly pushers Jake to the ground while producing a smaller pistol from his waist line, "Keys, gear, get the stiff, and fuck off now!"
The man who broke down the door snapped. He threw his own friend out the door. He heard yelling, threatening. The girl was at the truck, going to get the wounded comrade. Everyone was out of the house. He quickly rushed forward, slamming the door shut. It didn't close fully, thanks to it being busted on one side.
Moving to the side he tipped over the cabinet beside the door. It fell, blocking the door closed. He stepped back, shotgun in hand. They had threatened him, forced themselves into his home. He wouldn't let it happen again. He was a few steps back, out of the way this time. If the door opened, he would fire both shots to kill.
He listened to the scuffle outside, wanting to stay outside. If the victor wanted in again he may be willing to lend a helping hand for a deal.
Dale watched as the stranger took his father's lover into his clutch with pistol in hand. He knew this guy was bad news before he even got to know him, and he didn't know how the others didn't see it. Regardless of what they thought or how they would feel about his actions, Dale didn't care, as it was a person he cared about's life, or the possible death of some asshole he'd never met. He pulled out his Colt Anaconda .44 Magnum, a weapon he rarely used because of it's incredible stopping power, and aimed it at the arm of the man holding Jake. He did this all fluently, and without a single scuffle, and without blinking, he fired the gun off.
Dale was known for his amazing aim from his comrades, and he was undetected, so the chance this guy somehow got out of the way was damn near impossible. It would shock any unaware person as the .44 shell exploded and shot towards it's mark from under the truck. Dust brushed from under the truck from the blow-back, and the gun bounced as it fired. Dale watched with grim satisfaction, unblinking, and cold as a killer as blood spattered. "Don't fuck with my friends, asshole." He whispered silently to himself.

As Jake reached Mia at the truck, he looked at her. “We need to take care of this Kelly problem.” He whispered making sure Nate wouldn’t hear it. Then Mia replied asking why the man would just let them in. “I think he’s just scared and I don’t like it either, but it’s our best chance, we’ll keep Nate safe, I’ll make sure.” He said as he quickly gave her a rub on her back. He then saw Kelly acting weird. “I’ll be right back, I need to keep an eye on Kelly, but I’ll come and get Nate in a second.” Jake said as he already watched Mia getting Nate out before walking back.
It was then Kelly snapped, Jake walked passed him, checked if the door was still open and walked back, turning his back to Kelly, just then the crazy son of a bitch pointed his gun at Jake, everything happened so fast, he couldn’t do a thing. Jake felt the gun at the back of his hand and tried to stay calm as he heard to the crazy speech of Kelly. Jake listened as he spoke to the other members of the group. “You leave them alone, you piece of shit.” Jake said angry, he tried to stay calm, cause he knew he could get his head blown off, but he needed to say something. He heard as Kelly asked for the car keys, guns and other supplies. “I knew we shouldn’t have trusted you.” Jake said.
Just then Jake felt Kelly his arm around his neck, he was slowly chocking him, Jake tried to fight him as best he could, but it was as if Kelly had some sort of crazy rage rushing through him, plus he didn’t want to fight too much either, since the gun was still pointed against his head. He vaguely heard Kelly saying something and just as his vision started to get blurry, Kelly let him go and pushed him on ground. He then once more asked for the stuff while keeping the gun pointed at Jake. Jake rolled over looking directly at Kelly and trying to regain his focus. The first thing he noticed was that the door, Kelly busted open, was a little more closed, Jake figured the guy inside was even more scared.
“You crazy asshole, I will kill you.” Jake said looking at him. Just then a shot was fired, for a moment Jake thought it was the end for him, but then he watched the blood splash out of Kelly his arm. Jake was a bit startled, since he had no clue who had fired, but took this opportunity to get Kelly down, then he would try to figure out who fired the shot. Jake was still on the ground and gave Kelly a kick in his nuts, before crawling from the ground. Then he rushed foreward grabbing his arm, he pressed the wound making sure Kelly would be in pain and grabbed the gun. Then he finished it, by smashing the gun on the back of his head. He then looked around to check on Mia and Nate. “You guys ok?” he asked worried. But then he scanned to area, to see where the gun shot could have come from. “Who’s there?” Jake said as he raised the gun, not knowing if the person was a friend or foe, whole walking back to Mia.
(Hope it’s ok I knocked Kelly out? If not I can still edit?)
Mia was working to get Nate from the truck. She motioned for Emre to help her, and turned back to see If Jake was going to help. " he's getting weak, we are gonna need..." She saw Kelly grab Jake. What the fuck! Jesus Christ, they did not need or have time for this bullshit. Mia heard Kelly's words," fuck you, you know we need the supplies! You sonofabitch, take the fucking truck but you aren't getting the medical supplies!" She had her hand in the truck reaching for the pack full of the. As she spoke. He was gonna shoot them, shoot Jake! She needed to do something, Nate needed her!
A single shot, blood , and something moved near her feet from under the truck. A voice. Mia stared at Dale. Where the fuck had he come from?! She was glad to see him. She knew Dale could handle that gun." Kelly!" She saw Jake reacting," Jake, help me with Nate! Dale , if he so much as flinches, kill him." She locked eyes with Dale. She didn't know where he'd been, but right now she could kiss that kid! He had found them at the right time!
Mia glanced at the house," we gotta get Nate inside. Please, just go, get out of here, Kelly!" Mia didn't want to kill anyone, she still believed there was good in people and she was a nurse. She was about saving lives, not ending them. She helped Nate move and tried to get him standing beside the truck," walk with me, honey, we need to get you inside."
Nate had passed out, with no one to keep conversation up he was out of it. He leaned against the window of the truck, oblivious to what was going on. He did t move, was loose, limp. The only movement was his chest rising and falling, showing he was still breathing. He didn't feel, midst dream. He wasn't asleep. They pain had finall took over and it was either pass out or throw up and die.
Even with two gunshots, the yelling he didn't stir. He was pulled from the truck, still limp. He didn't hesr anyone talk to him, didn't hear Mia say they needed to get inside. He wasn't going anywhere. Not on his own. He would have to be moved, the best they could. Carried, dragged, and lifted were the onl ways they would get him out and up.
Kelly was hurting bad, he wanted to vomit, he wanted to close his eyes, but he was a beast. Giving up meant he was going to die and he wasn't ready to die. Kelly wiped blood off his face from the knock Jake gave him but his arm was a whole other story.
He held it close to his body when he stood up but it burned to move and he knew that the bullet has shattered his bone. This was painful and this feeling was coming from a man who had his throat slit once and lived. Kelly was a fighter. A survivor. A crazy one still, but he always pulled through.
"Just let me, oh wait," he squated down to pick up his hat slapping it on his head, "Ok just let me go and we're even."

Jake heard Mia yelling to help her with Nate. Jake was still a bit dazzled about what just happened, but he nodded and walked over to Mia. It was then he heard Mia talk, she mentioned Dale, told him to shoot if Kelly would react. Jake stood still for a second, he looked down and saw what looked like Dale, but he couldn’t believe it, his heart was filled with joy. “Dale, is that really you?” he asked happy. He was so glad the boy was ok, it also meant that there was a chance Veran survived, but he quickly pushed those memories down, it was too painful, for now he was happy Dale was there. “We’ll talk later, Nate is in trouble, but you can’t believe how happy I am to see you, you saved us all.” He said smiling at Dale.
Then he focused at the situation at hand and rushed to Mia, to help support Nate. Jake noticed Nate was out cold and was worried, even panicking a little. He finally reached Mia, grabbing Nate, supporting him so they could get him inside. They slowly stepped foreward, Jake carried most of his weight, trying to not put too much on Mia her side. It wasn't easy carrying him, but Jake didn't care he would get Nate inside! It was then he saw Kelly got up. He stopped and watched him, ready to react if he would try something, even though he was sure, Dale would have their back.
He seemed very weak, but you never know for sure, the crazy son of a bitch, started a sentence, but paused it to grab his head. Jake rolled his eyes, he was so crazy, he had to be stopped, for a moment he wanted to let go of Nate and finish the job, get him out of the way, but getting Nate to safety, saving him, that was priority now, they already lost enough time. Jake looked at Kelly as he asked if he could go. “Get the fuck out of here you asshole and never dare to show yourself, cause I will kill you!” Jake yelled. “Something will eventually punish for all the bad you done, now get out of our way and get the fuck out!” he added, while looking stern. Then he continued to walk forward, making their way to the door, to get Nate inside. “Dale you coming?” Jake yelled, he didn’t want him to be out alone with that crazy bastard, even though he knew he could handle himself, since Dale would outthink him.

Dale had moved himself on out from under the truck as Jake rushed towards Nate. He was filthy, and wore a makeshift raincoat he put together with tarp and fishing line. In his hand, he still held the revolver with a strong grip, finger ready on the trigger, and watched the crazy guy with a hawk's gaze.
He couldn't bring himself to smile at the moment, but he was happy to see Jake as well. "Sure thing," he replied to Jake about having a chat later. He was more concerned about everybody coming out of the situation alive and safe though. He stared at Kelly from behind the hammer of his gun, his eyes unblinking, and his stare cold and full of blood lust. "Don't make any stupid moves. My friends might be nicer about their humanity and what not, but I would've killed you outright. So if you're leaving, do it fast, or get gunned down." As he spoke, he made sure to keep a distance of ten yards from the man, and would shoot if that distance was crossed.
Mia was relieved of some of the burden of Nates weight when Jake finally was able to help. She could feel the burn in her shoulder, but pushed it aside. She focused on her steps, getting Nate inside. Everything else was static. She knew Dale had them covered, had a million questions for the kid, but it wasn't the time.
Once they got him inside, she could focus more and really see the damage. Right now all she knew was that he was breathing. Breathing was good. She didn't like the fact that he had passed out. Truth, it scared the shot out of her. She didn't want him to die, was afraid of the outcome. Would she, could she, if it went bad? All these fears and thoughts were being shoved down, drowned by years of training. Focusing on the next moment was all she could do. Another step and they were on the porch.
Leonard saw the people outside, matched them. When they started fighting he backed away, this wasn't his fight. Sure he could come out, shoot the big guy attacking them all, but was that the right side? Who were these other people? The other guy, the one the girl called Jake seemed just as violent, just as bad.
He stepped back, a gunshot went off. It was a kid, or a teenager at the most. He rolled out and shot the big man, taking control of the situation. They told the big man to go, and it looked like he would. He was done fighting, for now.
He watched the girl, and the other guy haul someone out of the truck. He was as big as the big guy, but he looked malnourished. He was missing an arm. Leonard could see the life drained from him. They were heading this way.
He pulled back the cabinet blocking the door, just enough to let them in. He didn't know why, something had changed. Maybe they seemed less threatening. Only one man would really be a problem, this Jake, the other was wounded, a kid, and a woman.
"Hurry inside," he called them, watching the Big man who attacked. He tried anything, Leonard would fill him with shotgun pellets.
He looked at the woman and the man holding the wounded person. "Take him upstairs. There's a bedroom up there. He can rest there. I have no supplies to offer you to help him though. This was a butchers farm, not a veterinary college."
Kelly Stone The hint was taken, grunting from the gun shot wound which he held closely to him, began his walk to the truck.
He got in the truck quickly and turning the key the truck erupted to life. The beautiful part was Kelly had them stop long enough to top it off with gas, so he scored free gas. Slapping the gear shift into reverse Kelly took off like a bat out of Hell, he slowed enough as he drove away to wave at all of them.

Jake heard the truck left, Kelly was gone, it was a big relief. As they got closer he heard noises and finally the door was opened. The guy that owned the place, told them to hurry inside. Jake nodded as he passed the guy and listened as he explained where Nate could rest and be taken care off. “Thanks.” He replied as he made his way to the stairs.
“My name is Jake, I would give you a hand but a little hard.” Jake replied as he did his best to hurry to the stairs with Nate. As he reached the first step, it was time to switch the position of Nate. “Mia, can you take his feet, I’ll grab him under his arms.” Jake spoke. “Try not to hurt you shoulder by the way, I know it isn’t fully healed yet.” He added in a worried tone. “Though we need to hurry, so you can get to work.” He said as he looked at Nate.
Dale hadn't said much at that point, and continued to be silent for awhile longer. He quickly moved in Mia's way as Jake asked Mia to help him move Nate by taking his feet. He could tell she wasn't all too much better herself, and wouldn't have her weakening herself even more. He quickly took Nate's legs, and with delicacy, helped hoist him up the stairs. He struggled a bit, with his small frame and all, but he was able to help Jake get him inside. With a quiet grunt, he laid Nate's legs down, and moved to Jake to help lay his head down gently as well. With a sigh of exasperation, Dale plopped down on the ground, placed his hands on the ground behind him and stared at the ceiling. He hadn't stopped moving since the cabin, and it felt good.
Mia didn't say much as the man ushered them into the house. She couldn't believe he was willing to help them. She had hoped he would see that Kelly was the true threat and they were not like him, and apparently he had. "Thank you!" she was easing out from under Nate's shoulder to grab his legs, when Dale popped in and took them for her.
She gave him a weak smile, grateful. She would have done it, but her shoulder would have probably given out. She followed behind them and as soon as they got him in the room and on the bed, she set her pack down and started to work.
She tossed a water bottle at Dale, 'drink, you look dehydrated." Mia winked at him and kept moving. She ran some more fluids into Nate, using the IV, and hooked up a smaller bag of antibiotics. She propped his injured arm on a pillow and gingerly unwrapped it. It looked horrid. She pulled out a bottle of saline and glanced at Jake, "I need a basin, bowl, something like that and a few towels, if he has any." She pulled out some gauze and a wad of wrapping, "Dale, I need your help, can you feed me this as I wrap it, once I've cleaned it again?" She handed him the bandages, and pulled out a needle and a vial of liquid. She drew up the needle with some of the liquid and found a vein in Nate's arm, slowly inserting the needle and giving him the liquid. "Antibiotics, in the bag and a shot to give him an extra boost. Don't have much more than pills left." She frowned and hoped it would be enough. His arm didn't look like the infection was spreading, but it looked nasty. She wanted to clean it and cut away the dead skin, then rewrap it. She should probably numb it, but she wasn't sure. She fumbled through the other vials she had and found one. Small, it wouldn't last, but it was morphine.
Both the girl and the bigger man said thank you. Leonard simply nodded and closed the door behind him. He locked it, putting the shelf in front. He was taking a big risk having people here, areally big one. "You're welcome," he said calmly, "sorry I didn't let you in earlier. But I don't think you are the bad guys anymore. You just know how it is nowadays. People will kill you, take everything, and leave you chained up to die. They are brutal. I didn't want to take that risk. Then you broke down my door, mstokred in here. But that man, he wasn't like you and me was he."
He looked up the stairs, following but not helping him. He saw the only one arm, the man looked dead too. "How did he..how did he loose the arm," Leonard asked, showing them to where they could place him. He opened the door to an old dusty bedroom, smaller than the main, but still comfy. One thing they could take note of, there was not a single picture of Leonard anywhere. Only of an elderly couple, and their kids through the years. It could also be noted that the interior design was old, defiantly not of someone his age. It was designed by and old person, a grandparent.
He ,over back. "Towels are in the hallway. I'll get them," he said rushing off. He opened the linen closet and came back with an arm full of towels. And a set of clean sheets. There was also a fresh pillow case. "Incase. You get blood on the current one. I have plenty, thought they stain easily."
He moved back. "You're here just in time to eat. I was just about to sit down to eat. You can join once you're finished if you like. All four of you look starved. I can cook more, I like to cook." He paused. "Do you like ribs, what I was eating. I can barbecue some more while you fix your friends. There's also a nice garden salad, though I apologize the dressing is a little strong. I haven't learnt to bake bread yet, but I've been trying. My portions just aren't right."
He looked away. "There two bedrooms up here, so if you plan on staying you will have to pair up. My bedroom is on the main floor,I'm hardly ever come up here besides for storage and the linen closet."
He moved back towards the door. "You guys can help your friend. I'll cook some food for you. Taps work if you need water, shower works too. It runs off into a sewer drain in the woods. Water is from the well. Just wouldn't drink it. It won't kill you or make you sick, just not that clean. Check the closet for clothes too. I doubt you'll find anything, they mostly big, for a heavy set person."

Jake noticed how Dale took Mia her place in getting Nate upstairs, which was great seeing Mia her shoulder wasn’t fully healed. He heard the kind man that let them in as some question, but he decided he would answer after Nate was on the bed. The man showed them the room and Jake placed Nate on the bed with the help of Dale.
“Thanks Dale for helping and sorry Mia for not thinking to ask Dale earlier to help.” Jake said softly. “I hope your shoulder is still doing ok?” he asked worried. Then he turned to the man since he asked some questions earlier. “No that man that broke your door is a savage a beast and to be honest I think we should have killed him, but for now I’m just glad my friend is in a safe place and that we found that guy there.” Jake said with a smile pointing at Dale. He noticed Mia tossed him the water and he was glad she did, he looked really dehydrated and tired. “Get some rest later too, but a talk first would be nice.” He said with a warm smile.
Then he turned back to Leonard. He decided no to answer the question about the arm, it would maybe scare the guy, probably thinking Nate would turn and maybe even wanted them out again. Before he could say anything he heard Mia asking for some things to take care of Nate. “I’m on it.” He said. Leonard already went for the towels and clean sheets. Jake passed him. “I suppose I can find a bowl and water in the kitchen?” he asked, but without waiting for an answer he walked downstairs.
It didn’t take him long before he walked back in the room, with a bowl filled with water. “Here you go Mia.” He spoke. Seemed he walked n as Leonard talked about food and how he loved cooking. “That does sound amazing and I’m pretty sure we all could use some food, but first I want to make sure my friend is ok.” Jake said with a little smile.
He then heard there were two bedrooms, it was kind of him to offer. “Thanks and I don’t think paring up is a problem, I think I speak for all of us, if I say we are just glad to have a bed.” Jake replied. Then Leonard slowly stepped away, once more told them they could have some food after Nate was taken care of and that he had a working shower and some clothes. “Thanks, already found that water, but still thanks.” Jake said with a smile.
When Leonard was gone he turned to Mia. “How is he doing?” he asked worried.
Dale caught the water, and took a large chug of it. He was definitely parched, and hadn't had anything to drink in a good long while. He smiled at Mia, "Thanks," was all he said before Jake started talking. He smirked at him when he said 'found this one' and retorted with, "More like I found you. Always the talker, eh?" He just kept watching the scene unfold, not entirely worried about Nate, as he judged him a real survivor, and took calm rested breaths. He'd soon find himself fast asleep.
Mia heard the man talking, but she was busy adjusting Nate and trying to tell if the infection was spreading up his arm. It didn't appear to be. She hoped they had caught it by cutting off the hand. It looked gruesome, but it had been necessary. She glanced over as Jake left the room. He ad gone to fetch a bowl. She laid a few towels under Nate's arm, thanking the man, 'Really, thank you for this. " She heard him mention food. "I'm fine, but I am sure those two could eat." She looked at Dale. the poor kid was out like a light. She felt her lips curl up in a half smile, he was amazing, finding them like he did.
Mia tried her best to cut away some of the charred parts of his flesh. She hated doing this to him, but he seemed out cold. He was breathing evenly, and his pulse was strong. Mia glanced at Jake, "thanks, can you wet one of those towels and ring it out?" She used it to cleanse the wound, and then dried it. She applied some cream from a tube to the tip, and then looked around for the gauze, "Jake, I laid some gauze pads over near Dale, and a long roll of it, can you bring it and help hold his arm for me to rewrap it?"
Leonard was nervous about a man going around his house looking at everything. He would rather they all stay in one place so he was certain they didn't take anything. He still didn't trust them, not at all at this point. They were an unknown factor, but he understood. They needed a water basin to help the friend with the one arm. Meant it was recent, zleonard wondered what had happened.
As he prepared the food, cooking a few more set of ribs on the grill he listened, making sure none were snooping around. He didn't need them taking anything or causing trouble in his home.
He set the plate of food on the table, a large plate of ribs, a bowl of vegetables, and some potatoes. It was a good feast, even before all this. What ever they didn't eat he could freeze. The solar panels on the roof slowed him to power one object, a freezer. It was drawing all the power, the lights used sparingly. Even now he let candles to light the dark room.
The cooking and taken about an hour, two once he prepared and set everything out. It was cooked and good for you. This gave them time to help their friend, and time for the boy to rest. Having decided it had been long enough he walked up the stairs. Knocking before opening the door he poked his head in.
"Food is ready if you want to eat. I promise it's all fresh. I have a freezer, been storing it since day one. It's a little freezer burnt but it hasn't gone bad yet. Hope you enjoy," he said stepping back, leaving the door open. "Will you all be joining me, or do one of you wish to stay with your friend? May I ask what happened, was he....was he bit?"
Shauna Kelly: That helped, thank you
