List 3 or more good personality traits:
-Cheerful: Even though the outbreak has turned everyone's live upside down, Samantha manages to keep a smile. She is always is excited at the small things, and in turn helps the others see the positives in the new grim life they live.
-Colorful: Samantha is someone full of personality and flair. She loves to read and draw and just about anything that let's her express her creativeness. She is very animated and will often throw her arms up in exaggeration--giving her a larger than life presence.
-Curious: Always looking for an adventure, Samantha often finds herself exploring the unknown. She wants to learn about the world and different things. She knows that the world is different now, and she wants to learn why it is.
-Friendly: It doesn't matter if you're a stranger or a long time friend, Samantha will treat you the same. She tries to see the good in everyone, and will always be courteous--thanks to her parents efforts--she will always attempt to make someone feel at home.
-Hard-Working: Samantha will always try and complete her tasks to the best of her ability. She has been taught that work ethic is everything, and that those that succeed in life are the ones that put in the most effort. If she is given a task she will give it everything.
List 3 or more bad personality traits:
-Invisible: With being so young, you sometimes can go unnoticed. Samantha often finds it hard to be involved in the group discussions or planning. With such little knowledge of the world she is often left out of the decision making process.
-Childish: Even though Samantha is a hard working girl, she is still a young child. She often has moments of lapse, where she forgets to focus--putting herself in danger. She is a kid at heart and will be for a few more years.
-Dependent: Being so young, Samantha hasn't had to make any choices in her life. She relies on her family to help her find food and to survive, though she wants to help, everyone knows she wouldn't make it on her own.
-Forgetful: Whether its a tiny detail or something major, Samantha sometimes has a habit of forgetting to complete something. This can sometimes put her group in danger and risk as they have to make up for her mistakes.
-Lonely: Though there are plenty of adults around, Samantha finds her self alone in this world. She loves her family and her new group, but she has no one her age to interact and be a kid with. She misses her best friend and wonders if they will ever see each other again--deep down she just wants someone that she can relate to.
List 3 strengths:
-Beacon of Hope: She's a child forced into this new cruel world. With her parent's upbringing there is a chance for her to be a light that can help others, and show that there are still good people left in this world. For the older members of the group she proves a reason for them to continue to fight the struggle that they're all enduring, in order to see her grow.
-Morale Booster: Samantha is able to bring up the spirit of the group, similar to her father, they both share the ability to help build people up when they need it the most.
-Natural Leader: While she may be young, some can see that she has what it takes to be a leader one day. With her compassion and empathy, she is able to help others get motivated to continue living. They're going to need someone with the ability to bring everyone together in the coming years.
List 3 flaws:
-Inexperienced: She hasn't seen much of the world or the wisdom that comes with age. She would have a hard time relating to some of the members that had rougher experiences.
-Why are you so happy?: Some people may dislike Samantha's happy go attitude. She loves to talk and meet new people, while she means the best, some people will get annoyed at her constant probing.
-Hard to Relate to: While she may bring a smile to other's faces, many have a hard time trying to relate to such a young girl in this new world. She is growing up in a place where people you know often die before your eyes, while it's hard on everyone, the impact on a child would be devastating. Many people have a hard time trying to relate to her.
Describe your character's life before the Apocalypse:
-Just starting first grade, Samantha was enjoying life. She had a loving family and quite a few close friends. She was your typical young girl that was in love with the world and everything fascinated her. She loved watching movies with her mother, and watching her mother coach the high school cross country team. She was on the path towards a perfect childhood.
What happened to your character on Outbreak Day?:
-Samantha can't remember much from the first day of the outbreak. She remembers that school had been cancelled for a while and that her parents had begun to stockpile a lot of food and water. Her parents talked about trying to head to her grandparent's house, which made her kind of excited. Her parents didn't really tell her much about what was going on, but that she had to stay with them and never leave their sight, they said there was a lot of bad people that could hurt her.
She gave her parents a promise and they packed up their RV to leave. Samantha remembers grabbing a few photos of her family, Mr. Fuzz and a couple toys. She was scarred, but felt that her grandparents would keep them safe. When they got there, her father went inside. After several minutes he came back outside, saying that they had left--hiding the fact that they had committed suicide.
Describe your character's life after the Apocalypse:
- For the past two years, she and her family have been traveling from Minster to some of the near by towns and villages. She hasn't seen her friends or other family members for a while. Her parents told her that a sickness had come over a lot of people and that it made them bad people. She's never seen one of these bad people, as her father makes sure to handle them before she can see them. Her life now mostly consists of reading, drawing, playing with her couple of toys, and talking to her parents.
They decided that it was important for her to continue to study, and her mother, a high school teacher, teaches her daily. She loves spending time with her family, but she hopes that they will go home soon.
