The man had just lost everything, his camp, his family, friends, comrades, even his own leg. Now besides the dark night, the only thing in his sights are the two men responsible. Looking on past the dead bodies and smashed skulls, at what used to be his camp fire and his cooked rabbit. One large man, and the one who betrayed the camp. Both eating away as if nothing happened. As if everything's normal. He had to do something. He's bleeding out, yet he has a chance to survive. They could of shot him in the head. Or even smash his skull in like they did to his wife, but they didn't. They just cut his leg off. For trying to save a little girl, now he's the one suffering, watching these people take what's his. What does he do? Does he beg? Well ya.....he does.
One legged man: Please.....please.....(cough)
Mid bite into the delicious rabbit, Mason, the man responsible for this chaos and betrayal, glances over at the man. He smiles and places his plate down on the stool before pulling out his pistol and kneeling down before the man with nothing but a smile on his face.
Mason Ford: Hmm, didn't think you were ever gonna wake up friend....Tom was it?
The man has trouble saying anything else with blood gushing out of his mouth. Mason takes that as a yes and continues on.
Mason Ford: Well, you see, this world isn't meant for beggers. You can beg all you want but you're begging to your demise. The man that holds your fate in his hand. So what gives you the confidence to ask me for help? You think just because I didn't kill you yet that you actually have a chance? Or is that your natural instinct, throw your pride away and ask the very man that killed your wife for help? Either way, you've never had a chance. The moment I had a single thought of any of you in my head, your fate was sealed.
Tom manages to spit out a word with his eyes flickering and his world fading.
Tom: No.....
Mason chuckles before putting his gun away. He then walks to the man's tent before pulling out a pair of pants and a navy blue shirt.
Mason Ford: Hope you don't mind me taking these, seen that we wear about the same size. Not of a fan of Navy Blue. I prefer red......but you know, this'll do.
He glances over at the man who's bleed out at this point with no signs of life left in those blue eyes of his. Mason continues to fold the clothes and places them in his bag before walking back over to his plate and finishing the last bit of rabbit. He then motions for Leo to follow him as they head back to the school bus they call home which was hidden a few streets over in the woods.
