List 3 strengths:
-Focused: When Richard has his sights on a specific task, he will see that it's completed. It's hard to change his mind when he's already set on a task.
-Innovative: Richard is always looking for ways to improvise and help make the lives of his group members better.
-Leadership: Richard is someone that people naturally look up to. He can help calm the emotion of others and help them not loose faith when things get tough.
List 3 flaws:
-Love Life: While many have someone to stand beside when things are tough, Richard doesn't have a significant other. His wife had died years before the outbreak, but it hasn't made things any easier on him--and it's hard for him to connect to possible love interests due to guilt.
-Wounded: Due to walking countless miles, Richard's legs are constantly sore and throbbing. His body has been subjected to the elements.
-Short-Sighted: Will look out for the best interests of his daughter, while he cares for his group, his ultimate loyalty lays with his daughter.
Describe your character's life before the Apocalypse:
-Richard's life before the Apocalypse was a constant struggle, being a single parent to a teenager left him with many sleepless nights. His daughter was his main priority and always wanted the best from her. He would push and strive for her to do the best she could, with aspirations that she would leave her hometown in search of something better.
Their relationship was rocky at best, and Richard had begun to feel like he was loosing his daughter to adulthood. So with the pain he carried he turned towards his job as an outlet of stress, and continued to sell cars. The Summer before the outbreak he helped move his daughter to Colorado State University for her freshmen year.
What happened to your character on Outbreak Day?:
-Richard was back in Ohio living on his own, trying to keep in contact with his daughter the most he could. Like many other's Richard was unaware of the significance of the outbreak during it's early stages. When the various riots began to sprout up, Richard had begun to take notice, he called off from work and began to collect as much food as he could.
Before the phone systems went out, Richard attempted to contact his daughter. After several agonizing hours, Richard was able to get a hold of Morgan. He told her to stay tight and that he would attempt to get to her--and that he loved her--that was the last he had heard of her.
Describe your character's life after the Apocalypse:
-Has been traveling from Ohio to Colorado for the past two years. It has been a long journey full of set backs and caution. Richard has been careful to avoid large herds, and was able to make it pretty far. It was the winter's that set the Father back. He's mostly stuck to his own, avoiding large groups of people. Unlike many others, most of his interactions have been pleasant and short. As the Summer comes to a close, Richard has finally made it to Colorado and hopes to find his daughter.
