Appearance:
- Standing in at a little over six feet, and weighing in at roughly 210 lbs, Eli can be a bit imposing to some. His body is quite fit, though it is obvious that they aren't muscles or a tone that came from a weight room and pills as much as intense training and experience. Though as of late, he has lost a bit of mass just due to lack of food. His skin seems to have a permanent tan to it, as he generally doesn't like to be indoors if he can avoid it. Though he used to keep his face cleanly shaved and hair cut fairly short, he is often seen now with a short beard and somewhat scruffy hair lately. While he generally wears jeans, boots, and long sleeve shirts, if you ever see him without a shirt you'll see that his upper body is covered with small scars. The most prominent of which are two horizontal scars cut into either side of his neck by his shoulders, both of them having the appearance of rope burns.

Describe your character's life before the Apocalypse:
- To understand Eli's life, you first have to understand Sam's life as well, his twin. Now many siblings are close, especially among twins, and so was the case between these two brothers. Inseparable since birth, they had done everything together. Sam was generally the smarter of the two, and Eli was always the more adventurous. You put those two things together and you'd get more trouble than you could handle.
They came from a fairly poor family in Carolina, so when Sam had the opportunity to go to school, having always wanted to study virology, he joined the military to help pay for it. Eli was more content playing video games and getting into fights, but wasn't one to be left behind, so he followed his brother and joined the army. Since childhood they both dreamed of being 'heroes and saving the world', and to an extent began to do so in their own way; each excelling in their field. Sam became a doctor, eventually, and quite skilled despite his age. Eli joined the Army Rangers, always seeking his 'next great adventure'.
Eventually Sam left the military, starting up a business back in Dallas, and eventually marrying and had a young child. Eli, though he loved the Rangers, left simply to try something new. He tried his hand at a normal life for a while, with a normal job in Dallas, but it wasn't satisfying for him. So he began taking the tests to join the Dallas S.W.A.T. team. During the time he dated a bit, but unlike his brother, he never settled down and usually preferred being alone. Though he loved being an uncle.
After joining S.W.A.T., life seemed to satisfy him to some extent at least. His brother was happy, he was happy, his family was well, life was good.
What happened to your character on Outbreak Day?:
- Eli was off-duty at the time, playing video games at his apartment with plans for a barbecue with his family later. Despite that, he got a call to suit up and meet with his squad immediately. Reports and rumors of morgues all across the city getting hit, people on the street being attacked, it was like a wide-spread riot. All available units were called in to stop the 'rioters', but no one was prepared for what they found. It was that evening that Eli blew a hole in the head of his first walker, still not sure what it was, but it was the first of many.
Almost immediately that afternoon, Sam was called in on a special assignment from the government to a CDC center on the coast. As the situation out of control, Eli and his squad were called to escort Sam and several other doctor's out of the city.
Describe your character's life after the Apocalypse:
- As communication was cut off, Eli and his squad, and Sam along with CDC and military personnel, stayed mobile, though continued the research. As the military and governments fell to shreds, with chaos, anarchy, and undead ruling, the continued moving East. The group was forced to move slower and slower as the death toll climbed, and literally rose. Everything fell apart as they were moving through the Southern states. One night, two of the sentries fell asleep, just before a massive horde of walkers overwhelmed the camp. While every man fought valiantly, there were more bodies than they had bullets.
As they were backed further into the building, Eli got separated from his brother and family (who had come along as well at Sam's request). From there, he was forced to watch his brother, sister-in-law, and nephew, get torn to shreds. Though Eli made it out alive, it broke him in every way. As his days of grief got more intense, he tried on several occasions (often after finding alcohol) to end his own life. Turns out it's harder to do when you're drunk than you'd think. Though he was eventually able to cope with it to some extent, it wasn't possible without his mind breaking a bit. He cares little for his own life now, and though he won't end it himself, often looks for opportunities for it to be ended. Most recently Eli has simply been wandering, at first helping survivors he found, but it's been a little over a month since he has seen someone else that was living. That hasn't exactly helped his mental state either, but it has definitely made the apocalypse more entertaining.
