Describe your character's life before the Apocalypse:
Theodore's family moved to the United States when he was just two years old, the middle child in a family of seven. They came from England. Since childhood Theodore has been a very quiet boy, often reading books or digging around in his mother's garden instead of playing outside like most boys of his age do. His mother has an extraordinary green thumb, and most of the greens on their dinner table came from her garden. It was from her that Theodore learned the different uses of the many plants in their garden. She was not able to finish her schooling, and thus encouraged her children to study hard. His father was a surgeon, and through admiration of his father's work Theodore decided to become a doctor someday. His parents' fervent desire to have all their children graduate from college helped develop in Theodore a love for learning, one that he will retain all his life.
When he grew old enough to be in school, he tried to fit in but was made an outcast because of his strange behavior. He never played with other children and would stay in the classroom during breaks, reading school books or drawing little figures on sheets of paper. He never seemed to mind and rather liked it. Theodore's dedication to his studies paid off as he became consistent in getting top honors and awards for exemplary academic performance.
After graduating from high school, Theodore wanted to work so his parents can retire. But his mother would have none of it. She pestered her son to apply for scholarship into a university, which he did so to stop her nagging. He was surprised when a letter came to their home one day, congratulating him for qualifying in their scholarship program. And so he packed his things and went off, taking a degree in medicine.
Years passed, and he graduated as a medical technician, one of the many pre-med degrees that will allow him to pursue specialized medicine. He worked part time in a nearby hospital during the day and studied at night in order to support himself. Money is hard to come by those days and he knew his parents are having a difficult time sending their five children to college and paying the bills. Whenever he has some extra cash, he would send them home. Sometimes he would buy presents for them instead. This continued for many years until he got his diploma, and that day was the happiest moment in his life.
After a few more years of working, he finally saved enough money to pay for tuition. He enrolled in another university and took up cardiovascular medicine, but his savings soon dried up and he was forced to work part time to support himself. He learned how to be more independent and how to save money, and most of his food came from the tiny garden he maintains for himself. It was no easy task, but he managed to earn his degree in specialized medicine. With that he immediately looked for work, and was hired in a local hospital where he worked until now. He was able to buy a house near a lake for himself, where he grew another garden. He sometimes fished in the lake as a form of relaxation and when he got a craving for fish. The surrounding woods provided edible mushrooms when in season. It was a comfortable life, one that Theodore was content to live in. Who knew that the universe had something else in store for him?
What happened to your character on Outbreak Day?:
The first time he ever encountered a zombie was at the local bar. Back then he didn't even know that the disease has been raging in other parts of the country for some time now. He was at a table, drinking with a few friends when a familiar face staggered into the establishment. It was a mechanic working at a tire shop nearby. His skin looked sickly pale and his eyes were discolored. He walked a little towards a group of people and bit one on the shoulder. A struggle broke out after that and Theodore, thinking that is was a bar brawl, left the establishment in a hurry and went home.
The following morning, just before heading for work, he was greeted by a horrible sight outside. People were attacking other people, and.. was that an attempt to bite? Policemen were outside trying in vain to keep people calm. Unfortunately they were overwhelmed by a large group that came from the direction of the bar. Theodore panicked and went back inside, locking the door to prevent those things from going in.
He peeked through the window and watched in horror as the other zombies chased his neighbors. Some fought back with iron pipes, crowbars, shovels, and whatever other tools they had. Theodore turned his T.V. on, trying to find news about this strange affliction. No other shows were being broadcast today except for an empty screen telling other people to stay indoors and lock their doors. This had been happening in other places and a state of emergency was announced. Good thing Theodore's house was well stocked with food and water, but as days went by his supply dwindled. He still kept hoping that this would come to pass, and their lives would go back to the way it was once again.
Describe your character's life after the Apocalypse:
Theodore often moved from place to place, preferring to stay in the countryside as food is more readily available to him via foraging or hunting. The disadvantage of this lifestyle is that man made consumables like toilet paper, canned goods, bullets, and toiletries, for example, are not readily available to him. As such he often goes scavenging in houses for supplies whenever he passes through a town.

List 3 or more good personality traits:
- If given a regular job he will perform it to the best of his abilities, just not to the point of doing extra work reserved for others.
- Nice, friendly and caring towards others, especially to children.
- Theodore prefers to avoid confrontations at any cost, and will rather flee than fight with others.
- When in a group, Theodore is helpful and will really try to pull his own weight.
List 3 or more bad personality traits:
- Theodore is lazy by default, and will prefer staying put in one place or playing video games than moving about and doing manual labor.
- When socializing with people, he can and will be frank to others, but he knows how to recognize a situation and the atmosphere of a conversation; meaning he can be emphatic and sympathetic if the situation demands it, or be humorous and witty at other times. However, his remarks often come out as sarcastic or even insulting.
- Theodore keeps his problems to himself and rarely asks for help, even if he can't do things anymore. He just doesn't want others to think that he's a burden to people.
List 3 strengths:
- Can identify various medicinal herbs and edible plants, its effects and use it accordingly.
- His hobbies include gardening and fishing, and he can pass for a decent farmer or angler if needed.
- Due to his years of medical experience, he can properly diagnose and treat illnesses as well as mend wounds given the proper equipment.
- Knows many things due to his love of books and learning.
- Years of doing surgery to save other people's lives resulted to him having a steady arm. He could aim his gun without shaking, and his accuracy improves when in a kneeling or prone position.
- He can be a persuasive person if he feels like it, not the morale boosting kind of persuasion but rather the kind that allows him to influence other people's decision. Most of the time though he will just stay back and let the others do the talking.
List 3 flaws:
- Due to old age, Theodore is slower compared to his younger friends and gets tired easily.
- Because Theodore is often quiet and is an introvert, he often gives out the wrong impression to people.
- Theodore can't make decisions for other people, meaning he is not leadership material. This can be a problem if people look up to him for directions, which is bound to happen as people have this impression that old people are wise.
- Although Theodore can work with other people, he's not exactly made out of hero stuff. He won't risk his life for other people, especially when it's dangerous.
- The only thing he can't do is to be threatening, except maybe with the help of some good old fashioned gun pointing, swearing, and spitting at random places. But he knew he could never pull one off, so he has not attempted it.
