Describe your character's life before the Apocalypse:
-Austin worked on cars as his job between school and sports. Although he loved his family, Austin avoided staying home to avoid the troubles that Allison would sometimes cause. Austin was strongly devoted to his family, helping his mother through health issues, his father and the household chores, and when it boiled down to it Austin was the only person aside from their parents that would help and visit Allison when she was locked away. He, like his sister, excelled in academics though he put academics before friends and partying, unlike his sister. They both had a fondness for working on old fashioned cars and Austin helped build on to their garage at their house so that Allison and he could work on their cars, especially when it became therapeutic for her. Austin was an all around good natured boy, defended those that needed it and helped people whenever he could. Because of his popularity, Austin's words were held at a higher standard than others and he used this in good graces to help people not be so threatening and make high school and college life as miserable.
Part of his general seclusion comes from the fact that he was raised on a farm (and has intentions on going back to it). As children they grew up rarely playing with others due to lack of a neighborhood though as Austin was placed in educational facilities his social life became flourishing while Allison's was slightly stinted and remained controlled through her environment; this was why Austin preferred to stay at the high school and work as much as possible because he did not like to be subjected to the vegetable garden his mother had or the farm animals his father took care of.
What happened to your character on Outbreak Day?:
-Austin was involved in a car wreck with Allison prior to the outbreak. On the day of, Austin awoke to complete chaos and pain.Numerous times Austin blacked out in his hospital room alone as he attempted to escape. Eventually Austin realized he would not be able to make it so as he stumbled around the room he thrusted his bed in front of the door and collapsed on the floor. Austin came to a couple days later to stiffening silence and, though dulled, a pain in his entire body. Adrenaline, anxiety, and fear pushed the pain away as Austin ventured out into the world after the outbreak. Adrenaline alone helped him fight off the pain and the creatures lurking behind every corner and managed to get him to a house that had been previously cleared out where he passed out for days again. How he survived he has no idea, though he does not question it and uses his experience in hopes something better will come.
Describe your character's life after the Apocalypse:
- At first, Austin was severely weary about anything and everything. His body ached, he couldn't remember what happened and definitely didn't remember why he was in the hospital. In fact, the entire night was just a black wall to him and it left him in multiple states of panic as he had no idea what had happened nor where Allison was.Allison was gone, Austin was alone, and the chances of his parents being alive were very slim, which he hated to admit. In fact, Austin began to assume Allison was no longer alive either, due to his knowledge of his sister – though there was a small part of him that hoped that she had at least made it. Because of his undying loyalty to her and the sibling connection that they had, Austin kept an eye out for her and made sure that when he passed groups of people he always asked about her before parting ways. There had been a couple of times when Austin would travel with groups, depending on the direction they were heading, until he either came across someone he knew, Allison, or at least his farm land. Somehow, though, the group would be torn apart and Austin would be left to travel alone again, though with more and more haunting memories of the deceased.
Ashe progresses in venturing back to his hometown from the hospital he was taken to, Austin attempts to remember the night before the hospital visit and tries to think of where Allison would be at.
