Describe your character's life before the Apocalypse:
-Nick grew up in the cold North of Alaska with his parents and brother. It wasn't anything special, really, the life of a typical American family. His parents were nice people and made sure he was well-taught and loved. The brothers bonded quite well, even as they both grew older. He eventually got a job in emergency services as a police officer and stayed to take care of his elderly parents while Wyatt moved out. Life was all right, boring, but that was to be expected, until that bloody family vacation...
What happened to your character on Outbreak Day?:
-As his parents and brother sped off on a family vacation across the country, Nick was forced to stay home as the paramount nature of his job didn't allow him to take two months off of work. The apocalypse didn't arrive as early up in Alaska, but he had seen it all on the news, watched as the government's efforts to contain the infection, and in turn the Government itself, slowly crumbled. Nick could have stayed home and be safe, but his parents and brother was still right in the middle of that screwed-up mess, and he knew he could never live with himself if he didn't at least know what happened to them.
Describe your character's life after the Apocalypse:
-After deciding to go South, straight into the zombie apocalypse, he spent those months searching for his brother and parents. The thing is, the United States is anything but a small country, and his efforts, after more than a year, had proven to be in vain. Yet, he kept searching, for he had already come too far, and it was already too late to turn back.
*If it comes up, Wyatt has given me permission to make his brother. In fact, he's really, really, really on board with it
