Describe your character's life before the Apocalypse:
-Dicey was the middle child of four. She grew up on the family farm. After High school she graduated and was enrolled in West Georgia Technical college. Her life was spent working with her family on the farm. They raised cows, pigs, chickens, and grew crops. Organic stuff for the high society hippies from up north. She loved the farm, it was her home. She was not book smart like her older Brother and Sister, but she was a great hands on learner. She helped to take care of her younger brother growing up. Anything her father did with the boys, he always included Dicey. She was more a tomboy than her sister.
What happened to your character on Outbreak Day?:
-The day the world went to hell, she was home on the farm. Her father and older Brother had gone into town to pick up feed from the live stock store. They came racing down the lane, horn blowing. Dicey ran out to them jumping from the truck, along with a few of their neighbors climbing out of the back. A string of trucks were coming down the lane behind them. She couldn't believe what was going on. Her father was yelling to her and the others to get the guns. He screamed about people killing each other, ranting about some kind of a virus. Sure they had seen the news, but she thought the government had it all taken care of. Her father and the other men started to secure the farm, setting up a perimeter. He and one of the other guys had been raised by military men, so they used what little they had learned.
Describe your character's life after the Apocalypse:
-As the months passed, the farm became a place of refuge for people close by. Soon alot of people were staying at the Evans' farm. Safety in numbers, her father always said, each time a new comer found them. She wasn't that trusting. Didn't take long for others to take notice of the large group and the fact that they were surviving. The farm livestock was a huge draw. Dicey found herself locked down in the storm cellar, the night the raiders came. they wanted all the livestock and came in large trucks. a whole group with guns. Most of the people took off, thinking only of themselves. Her father and brother fought to safe their only means of survival. The raiders killed them and her mother. Her older sister got the worst fate. They used her and then slit her throat, and tied her to a tree. Later, after they were gone, Dicey realized Joey was missing. She found Sarah Anne and put a bullet in her head to finish her off. She gave her mercy after what those bastards had done to her. Dicey gathered up what she could and left on foot, searching for Joey. He was the only family she had left.
