Describe life before the Apocalypse: mandatory use of full sentences. What did your character do before the Outbreak?
Tyrone was born and raised in a run-down neighbourhood of Aurora, Colorado. He was raised solely by his mother, Theresa, who gave birth to him when she was fifteen, with the father, William Cole not being present for his entire upbringing. A cocaine dealer, Theresa raised Tyrone until she was murdered in 1988 when he was twelve. She lost consciousness after an unknown assailant drugged her drink; they then turned on the gas and closed the windows of her apartment. After his mother's death, Tyrone moved into his grandparents' house with his eight aunts and uncles. This was when he began to get involved with crime.
At age 12, Tyrone began dealing narcotics when his grandparents thought he was in after-school programs and brought guns and drug money to school. In the tenth grade, he was caught by metal detectors at his high school and arrested. After the arrest, he was open to his grandparents about his drug-dealing.
When he was 21, Tyrone was arrested for selling four vials of cocaine to an undercover police officer. He was arrested again three weeks later, when police searched his home and found heroin, ten ounces of crack cocaine and a starting pistol. Tyrone was sentenced to nine years in prison, which he served until he was aged 30. Upon leaving prison, Tyrone was unable to find a job with his criminal record. Eventually, he began working at his uncle's garage where he became a mechanic. Tyrone was skilled as a mechanic and continued to be a mechanic until the outbreak.
What happened on Outbreak Day:
Tyrone first heard about the outbreak on his radio whilst fixing one of the cars at the garage. He immediately left his work station and returned to his grandparents home to evacuate the state with them. The house was silence. Tyrone crept up the stairs cautiously, he could hear someone. Tyrone entered his grandparents bedroom. His granddad, Billy appeared ill and pale, Billy turned around slowly with blood surrounding his mouth. His grandmother, Sarah, laid on the floor lifeless, with chunks of her body missing. Tyrone was unable to put down his grandfather and left the home. Tyrone broke down in the middle of the street crying. A walker was only a few metres off. A student came to his rescue, helping him out of the situation. The teen told him of a haven at Bear Lake, that's where the two headed in Tyrone's van.
Life after the Apocalypse:
Tyrone worked as a mechanic at the Bear Lake Settlement. He became depressed ever since his grandparents' deaths. He wasn't involved with most of the camp, tending to be a loner and only looking out for himself. After Ranji Chamanal came, a more skilled mechanic, Tyrone decided to become a scavenger with the student who had saved him on the day of the outbreak. Tyrone and the student would scavenge alone. What the camp didn't know was that Tyrone and the student would often murder innocent survivors and steal their supplies, who would then lie to the camp about where they had acquired the supplies. As the apocalypse continued, they continued to murder innocent survivors and take their supplies, whilst the members of the camp remained unaware.
