The group, consisting of two cars, rolled up to the potential meeting spot where they would then plot a route and head east. She wanted to get to Blue Springs, a place in Georgia she visited with her family as a little girl. Dannie, Sterling and Liz discussed it in the car ride into Kansas and so far it seemed like a good place. She sold them on the solid cabins, fresh mountain air and cool mountain water that was ripe for drinking and fishing. Hell, they could make their own little settlement there if they put their minds to it. She knew walkers may have a tough time navigating the hills so it seemed pretty ideal.
As they rolled up to the gas station, the dust behind them was taken by the wind. She turned off the cruiser and looked around. She saw plenty of footprints in the dusty road and around the dead grass. They had made a promise to show up and here they were. She just hoped the other group hadn't been run off by walkers or another group.
This time, she would be far more cautious about where they were and she drove up along the backside of the gas station looking for signs of Emre, Nate, Mia and Jake. She had no idea just how much this group had grown. Slowly, she drew her weapon from her holster. They couldn't afford another shootout with raiders.
"Liz, take Sterling inside. Me and that new guy will look around and find the others."
Hykeem pulled the muscle car beside the cruiser. Rolling down the windows and listening while Dannie gave orders. When she said that he would go with her he kept very quiet.
The peace and quiet Hykeem felt and heard as he drove alone had returned him to his normal state of mind. He unlocked his car door before opening it and climbing out of it. He walked past Sterling and Liz and towards Dannie.
Nodding his head he pulled his sniper in front of himself and followed behind Dannie.
"Hey, new guy. Come here." She had found foot prints, and plenty of them. There were bullet casings and drops of blood. This was a crime scene indeed. But was it a scene that involved the others she was headed to meet with? This really was the middle of nowhere and it was agreed upon that they would meet in Kansas. It had to be them, but who was shot and who shot at them? Suddenly the stop didn't feel so safe. What if they were being watched like in Colorado?
"I think they were here. Jake, Emre, the others. Looks like they went off the beaten path off 83 here."
They were near Oakley according to the map of the U.S. that Sterling kept in his car. She would have to get the pair back in the cars and head towards the Oakley Farm and home center where the meeting spot had been set. First city in to Kansas they all agreed to meet in was Oakley and they all agreed a farming center would be their best bet. She had no idea how bad off things were in this town, but it seemed small. Without living bodies for the dead to chew on, she figured they all may have wandered off by now. But then again, this was the midwest and people did tend to arm themselves in small places like this.
It seemed logical to meet at the farming center, which seemed to be the biggest point on the map. Highway signs were a glorious thing and she knew they would likely find it easily.
"Go get Sterling and Liz. We need to get to the Farming center. They'll be there."

Hykeem walked towards the small building entering through a glass door at the front. He walked around looking carefully at the shelves. The small station seemed to hold up and if need be the group would be able to stay in it for awhile.
Hykeem walked around listening for the voices of the others. He hadn't quite became acquainted with them. He walked towards the faint sound of the voices and they had began getting louder as he got closer.
He entered the area where the voices came from standing so that the others would notice him. Listening in on their conversation for awhile Hykeem let out a small laugh.
"We can share secrets later. Right now we have that young lady out there waiting. Lets move folks."
Hykeem smiled gesturing at the glass door and tilting his head in the direction. Stepping back allowing the woman to help the man out of the area. He then started a small jog towards the door holding it for them to exit before spotting and picking up a bag of skittles.
He then grabbed the door pulling I open and walking out.
"Does the radio in that beauty still work because if so you can pick a frequency and fill me in on the way."
Hykeem hated being left in the blue and hopefully she would trust him enough for this.
