Analia felt as if a weight lifted from her heavy shoulders as she held those blueprints tightly in her slender fingers. She had an iron grip, she couldn’t lose the only salvation she had to escape the wretched prison. The nerves lining her skin still marked mother’s repulsive touch with sharp tugs of psychological pain. Bile still tickled at the tips of her lips and she knew she’d remember the ordeal for times to come. If there was any other way she wouldn’t have exposed herself to that terrifying extent to a woman she loathed but there wasn’t and the sacrifice was worth the results. The blueprints felt like the utmost valuable item and it was finally in her grasp.
The walls around her seemed lighter, the darkness didn’t seem so conniving and dangerous as she passed through hallways she’d come to etch into her memory in preparation. Her shoulders slumped as she leaned over to pull the pocket knife from the side of her shoe and she slid it into her waistband for quicker access. The silence in the halls were almost deafening but she could hear the continuous slam of her heart beating against her ribcage, either in caution or in relief. The shake she normally restrained in her fingertips didn’t feel so overbearing anymore, she heard the soft thud of footsteps as she neared the cells the children slept.
Her back pressed flat against the wall leaning around the corner only slightly to see the bulking figure of Omega’s guard prowling through the empty hall. She took a deep breath and set the blueprints gently on the floor against the wall. Her figure slipped gracefully around the wall with a seductive smile adorning her lips. The guard took notice of her figure as she set her palm on her hip stalking towards him with an innocent smile.
“I’m terribly sorry I’m so late, I’ve been with mother for the night” she explained biting down on her bottom lip as she slowly made her way closer to the guard. “Would you mind opening my cell for me?” she was practically against the man. She looked up at his towering figure and smiled reaching up, in one swift movement she gripped his head with all her strength and slammed his skull against the wall. When he fell to the floor dazed she kicked her foot into his temple twice until he lay unconscious at her mercy. She figured escaping was bad enough without pissing off Omega by killing one of his men.
“Dick” she muttered bending down to rummage through his pockets until the cold steel of a set of keys touched her fingertips. She pulled the keys to her and quickly jogged back to grab the blueprints before she walked by the cells looking for a familiar face among the sleepy forms. Eventually she found a figure at the edge of the bunk beds, she breathed a sigh of relief before calling Dean’s name in loud whispers.
“Dean” she quickly went to work finding just the right key to fit the lock before silently turning her fingers clockwise. The door clicked open in a barely audible thud and she pulled the thick barred door towards her before walking over to Dean. She couldn’t help herself from throwing her arms around his neck and pulling him into a relieved hug, it felt reassuring to be in the presence of someone truly good instead of the cruel delusions of a mad woman.
“Sorry I just-“ she muttered softly unable to find the words as she pulled back and held the blueprints out to him, “We did it, we can finally get the hell out of here”. She wasn’t sure when last she felt as happy as she did looking down at those blueprints but her lips erupted into a smile. She knew there was still a long way to go but it felt good staying true to herself and finally making way to an exit out of the hell she’d fallen in unintentionally.
