Silas had prepared everything down to the smallest detail as best he could. Today was an important day after all. A meeting between settlements could mean a lot of things after all. Death, War, Catastrophy all were very likely possibilities if this meeting were to go south and not in the good way. The young man adjusted the dinner table cloth and adjusted the plates of food set out for his single guest. It felt strange for him to put so much effort in impressing a settlements leader.
Especially one that had seen the inside of his home before in previous meetings. Keeping up a good appearance helped keep alliances right? He asked himself silently as he stopped messing with his face in the mirror. Instead he started to adjust his shirt collar before taking a deep breath and answering the door. He assumed naturally that is was Sarah having already gotten through the islands security at the gates.
He took a deep breath and opened the front door with a big ol smile. "Howdy Sarah. I hope your trip was alright darlin?" Silas said with friendly intent before gesturing inside. "We can catch up over dinner. Now I hope your not a light weight." He chuckled teasingly before leading the women into the dinning room and pulling out her chair as a gesture of kindness and southern hospitality. Silas waited for her to take a seat so the discussions could begin.

(Over at Belle Isle) (NPC) Meanwhile, in Belle Isle's Radio Room, one of the individuals tasked with manning the Island's radios keyed in a few numbers on a radio set and waited for Grosse Isle to respond; once they were up and ready, he spoke into the handset. "Grosse Isle, Grosse Isle, this is Belle Isle calling. Sarah says she'll be there soon. Belle Isle out...."(OOC: Silas, I've got at least one, maybe two posts over in Belle Isle to put up; once they're up, I'll leave that thread and be over here in a bit. )

After a short trip navigating the Detroit River south from Belle Isle, Sarah - along with Hannah and a few others - soon saw the dock at Grosse Isle; pointing towards it, Sarah spoke up with a little loudness to her voice given the engine noise and wind, "Pull up at that dock but have the boat pointing north in case we have to leave in a hurry," pausing to make sure her .45 (Sarah had left her Springfield M1a rifle back at Belle Isle) was loaded and that she (a) had a few extra mags ready and (b) had a round in the chamber, ready to rock in necessary. Flipping the safety on, she holstered the .45 and glanced over at Hannah. "Well, we made it down here, babe," Sarah said, adding, "Wonder what Silas wants to talk about this time 'round..."

With her half of mask with the lower half of the skull image on it still over her nose down, Hannah stood up when the boat was coming into dock. It was turned in the direction of North as Ms. Sharpe instructed. Walking up to the pier, she would step up onto it. Her eye looked at the people around everywhere as she stood there as a guard figure with the rifle in her hands. Turning around a bit to look at Sarah, she took her left hand off the Scar-H assault rifle's front and held it out towards her love to help her steady herself and to pull her up onto the dock. "Yeah...we made it alright. Seems a bit...crowded for my liking." She said as she looked at the group once more. Once Sarah was up on the dock with her and beside her, Hannah would look down at the Assault rifle and then back towards the group that was now starting to gather a bit. Her head looked at the boat driver who had a handgun. She tossed the rifle over to him, "Here...defend the boat. When we come back, I'll be wanting my gun back. So it's on loan to you." She explained with a smile and tossed him the spare Magazine to it.
Both Hannah and Sarah would make their way through the gates and would make their way towards the house that this leader would be at. She hasn't really met the man before, so this was going to be the first time she would be meeting him. With the sunglasses still on, her eye went from side to side as she looked at everyone from the safety of the dark lens. Some people were watching them as they walked through the stronghold of Grosse Isle. Lowering the mask down to around her neck, she reached into her pocket and took out a hair band. Moving her short hair that was growing in long again and would put it all into a ponytail. The guards that were escorting them would lead them both towards the house that Silas was staying in. As they walked up, the door opened up and there stood a young man who greeted Sarah and called her Darlin'. Since she was raised in Georgia, she knew how southerners greeted some females as such. So, she wouldn't take offense.

As they headed towards the residence where Silas was at, Sarah could feel the eyes of everyone watching her and the others, but it didn't bother her; as many times as they'd been down to Grosse Isle over the past few years, she'd gotten used to it. Silas's flirting with her, though, she thought, was starting to grate on her....but as they got closer to Silas's house, a devious idea came into her head on how she could silence his flirting.
Slowing down a little so that Hannah could catch up and walk alongside with her, Sarah waved at Silas and smiled with one hand, all the while taking hold of Hannah's hand with the other; walking up to Silas, Sarah smiled more broadly and said, "Afternoon, Silas; its' been a little while since we've met....I'd like to introduce everyone with me," pausing to introduce them before finishing with, "....and this is my wife, Hannah," pausing to turn and give Hannah a long, passionate kiss that hopefully would silence Silas's flirting once and for all. After a moment's wait, she turned and looked at Silas and said with a bit of full-blown Detroit swagger, "So, Silas...darlin', what shall we discuss today?"
