Describe your character's life before the Apocalypse:
- Before the apocalypse, Gil was a simple man. He would spend his days and afternoons out on the open ocean, fishing, crabbing and bringing in money to support his wife and young daughter. After a day of fishing Gil would come back home, crack open a beer, and relax with his family. It was the best joy of his life – at least until his wife died. 2 years before the apocalypse, Gil’s wife Jane got into a car accident on her way home from work. The widowed husband and his motherless daughter continued living on in grief. Gil drank more and his daughter Chloe grew more isolated over the next 2 years.
What happened to your character on Outbreak Day?:
- On the day of the outbreak, Gil had been out of the water when he heard the news that turned this epidemic from a few news stories into an actual event. A buddy of his radioed into him with a warning. The time had been a quarter past 3 and Gil rushed home to find his daughter. She had locked herself in her room out of fear. The two slept in the boarded up house that night.
Describe your character's life after the Apocalypse:
- After the apocalypse, Gil and Chloe moved on searching for family and friends. Some showed up alive, but barely any of them did. They formed a group which grew bigger and bigger until food began to become scarce. People Gil thought he had trusted began stealing from him and others. One man tried to steal from Chloe, resulting in Gil attacking the man. The fought and Chloe ended up taking a bullet in the process and dying. Gil killed the man and left the group. He remained on his own or with small, rag-tag groups ever since]
