Describe your character's life before the Apocalypse:
-Before the outbreak Johnny and the Fool's Dice crew tore up the streets of Michigan. There wasn't much standing in their way. Cops couldn't keep up with them. The Fool's Dice club was all about risk and reward. They took stupid risks for big payouts. Each one of them proved their worth by having a stint behind bars. Johnny was no different. Johnny had been arrested several times, mostly on petty stuff. The Fool's Dice club was too smart for anything major to stick. They stole high end cars and sold them overseas, sold them to chop shops or other gangs around the area looking for a quick drop car. If a gang needed a car for a drive by or a quick disposable car.... The Fool's Dice were willing to steal it. They were the best car thieves in the state. Johnny quickly rose through the ranks of the club with his daring choices he made. He stole big and his gambles always paid off.
Johnny found his sweet spot in the crew. Each member had their own thing. Benny, Johnny's best friend was an expert pickpocket and he was the fastest at stealing cars... Johnny brought extra cash to the club with his side business selling guns. Johnny had a contact and he was able to make a nice little profit on the side. Not to mention various other ventures Johnny was willing to dip his fingers in. Johnny kept his girl Tabitha close. She was his muse. His motivation. Johnny wouldn't be half as ballsy if he didn't have Tabitha to impress. She drove him. She pushed him to take big risks. He was a bit of a ego driven guy. Well, he could be..
The people saw the Fool's Dice as a problem. They were a drain on the city they resided in. The Fool's Dice took pride in their city, despite being seen as bastards. They ran a lot of the criminal activity in the city. A few of their members had blood on their hands before the outbreak even started.. Both Johnny and his friend Benny had a body count.
What happened to your character on Outbreak Day?:
-On outbreak day Johnny was handling club business. He had to make a delivery of guns to some guy in the city. It was a bit of a drive and he decided to bring Tabitha along. He had been dealing to these guys for awhile now. They were ok guys for a bunch of military zealots. They had a compound out in the woods of Michigan. The leader of the group was one of those survivor nuts. So was all of his friends. They were convinced that the apocalypse was coming and they wanted to be prepared for it surviving in some bunker. Sh*t... Whatever man! If they want to play army solider in the woods they can. Johnny thought as he pulled up to the spot.
The meet was the usual place. Johnny stepped out of the car and greeted the leader with a handshake and a half hug. It was an older man. Probably about in his late 50's. To Johnny he was just a crazy old man with money to burn. He had guns to sell. Johnny took a final puff the cigarette he had in his mouth before tossing it away and moving to the back of the car.
Johnny: Gentlemen..... You're new toys!
Johnny announced with a smile on his face. These guys were going to love these. Johnny thought. They had been clamoring for a few submachine guns. Johnny's last shipment was pistols, but these guys bought guns like they were stocking up for world war three! Johnny watched them closely as they each grabbed gun from the trunk and tested them out. No one would even bat an eye about hearing gunshots in this neighborhood. It was Detroit after all. Johnny sat on the back of his trunk and watched. They started firing at some old abandoned building. Another satisfied customer. He thought. That's when a few walkers came into view. They were covered in blood and shambling towards them..
Zeke (Head military Zealot guy): Who the hell are these guys? What the ...?!? He's covered in blood.
They watched as the men got closer. Eventually when they got close enough, they realized something was seriously wrong with them. They began to open fire. This wasn't supposed to go down this way! Johnny closed the trunk and moved quickly back to the driver's seat. He started the car. He watched as a walker tore apart the men who foolishly stood there shooting at them. They weren't aiming for the head and thusly they were tore apart. Jesus Christ man! Johnny thought. He had to get Tabitha out of there. He'd take a loss on the guns if it meant keeping her safe. Johnny watched them take so many bullets and yet they kept coming. Johnny wasn't sure what those things were but they weren't human. They were something else. He peeled out as fast as he could sending up clouds of dust as tires squealed down the road. Tabitha was his absolute most pressing concern, but Johnny was a wreck, he couldn't explain what he saw and he needed a drink. Or three.
Describe your character's life after the Apocalypse:
When Johnny got back to the club most of the members were gone. They had all been out taking care of things for the club. The only one besides him and Tabitha was one other guy. Johnny had a choice to make. The club president was missing, presumably dead. The members scattered to the wind in the face of the apocalypse. Johnny could choose to hang onto what he knew or move on. In the end, they just decided to stay. It was safe, secure, easily defendable. Johnny kept the title of Vice President. He was sure that the club President would show up to straighten things out, but he never did.
Johnny was the one calling the shots now. Johnny had a responsibility to the club. He felt a swelling of pride in his chest, and he couldn't just let the club die. The world killed itself he wasn't going to let his club die too. Johnny still wore his club jacket, only, the world was his enemy now not just the cops. Johnny kept his small group alive for the last four years. They scavenged where they could and had a few skirmishes with other groups. They weren't the last ones left in Michigan.
Johnny hoped members would trickle back in. Those hopes have faded as the years ticked off the calendar. He is just about surviving now. He is sure that he will never see the faces of his friends again. Johnny has his girl though, and one loyal friend and club mate. That's all he needs to ride out the storm. Somehow they keep the club standing. No walker horde or random group of punks has torn that club away from them. The bar is kept fully stocked. Johnny enjoys a drink at the bar when days were particularly rough. He just needs to keep surviving. For Tabitha at least... The world isn't so bad. He has his girl with him.
