The ride back was quiet and confusing. The woman had struck a deal with these people that kidnapped the group. It was clearly to go find the little girl. Julie had pieced that much together at least. Julie knew about motherhood and knew that it didn't matter what was in front of you, you would undertake any task to keep your child safe. That was just a given.
Julie didn't pass much judgment about her choice to work for them. She couldn't say she'd have done any different if'n it was Bailey out there lost and scared. She turned her head and road in silence. She was riding in the second truck with two men. The truck with the brunette was holding Debra and Omega Lilly and Chacone. Julie still only knew her by a last name, and yet she felt this level of kindred spirit with her. Like she understood the things she'd gone through, and was going through. From one mother to the next. Motherhood was rare now days. She felt closer to Camilla because of it, but she didn't outright say that. It was just something lingering on the back of her mind as she road along in silence.
The two men knew not to cross Deb. They didn't get frisky with Julie. They didn't even speak to her, they mostly seemed to ignore her as they carried on their own conversation about canned bacon. They were talking about finding a whole stash of the stuff in a lucky break. Then they started arguing over weather or not the one guy was going to let the other guy have any... Julie turned them out and watched the road zip by. She thought about making a break for it. Tucking and rolling and just making an esacpe. She'd be caught no doubt. Chacon would have to be the one to catch her to prove her loyalty. It didn't seem like a good situation. Julie just bit her tongue. She didn't make this deal with the devil, but she wanted to stick close to Camilla all the same. It did her no good to run, where would she go? She had nothing to run to... Just wide open empty spaces. Julie settled back against the seat and watched as the prison loomed closer on the horizon. She said nothing the whole way there.
When they finally did make it there Julie was surprised to find that she was released inside the prison walls to do what she wanted. The brunette snapped at her not to make trouble and to be a good girl before she closed a cell door. Julie wasn't in a cell the door she closed was to the entrance/exit part of the prison. She released her and Camilla into the inner part of the prison to explore as they wished. Before she left she spoke to Chacon.
Debra: Don't fuck this up.... And you guys could have the world in the palm of your hand. Omega rewards loyalty.
With that she was gone. Julie had a question on her lips as she turned to Chacon. It was driving her crazy at this point. It might have seemed trival, but not to her. She had risked everything to save her she wanted to know who she saved.... Or who saved her as the case turned out.
Julie: What's your name? You're first name.
She clarified. Julie looked around they were in the visitors section at the moment. A bunch of tables lined the empty room and the doors beyond here were left wide open. Julie knew they weren't trapped in here and that made her a little more at ease as she turend to narrow her eyes at Camilla. Leaning forward Julie whispered a bit so Lilly didn't hear.
Julie: We screwed all night your first night in camp.. I should know ya name at least...
Julie's eyes dancing along Camilla's face with a bit of naughty satisfaction and the hint of a smile. It was a little thing, but it felt good to smile as brief as it was. The muscles in her face were tired from stretching into scornful looks she kept the smile light on her face as she saw that Lilly still had that doll she gave her. Julie moved along the wall. She ran her hand along the wall as she looked the room over. She wanted to ask what was going on. IF they had a plan or this was really what they were settling into for good. She wanted to stick with Camilla and Lilly, it was the first time she felt normal and not hollow since well... Since her family died. At the least they were a good distraction, she didn't know what she honestly felt.
