Life before Apocalypse
Born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, Richard was born into a very liberal but caring family. He has no siblings and spends most of his time playing around with building blocks, Lego, and creating elaborate pranks. He also has infamy with the ladies throughout high school, much to his father's chagrin. After high school, Richard joined the Royal Military College in order to get a free education and enter an engineering school. Before long, he was sent to the 2nd Combat Engineering Regiment and sent to Afghanistan to patrol and building schools, bridges, and villages. There, he also took a crash course in radio operation and became the ‘official’ radio operator after the last one was killed by an IED.
Outbreak Day
When the first walkers began infiltrating the border into Canada, the Canadian government pulled out all military forces in Afghanistan to Canada. With walkers marching their way throughout the Southern border, the National Defence ordered an immediate defensive line South of Ottawa, Vancouver, Calgary, Regina, Winnipeg, Quebec, and Fredericton. However, the dead has overran Regina, Vancouver, and Fredericton. Ottawa managed to survive the onslaught due to the timely intervention of the 2nd Combat Engineering Regiment.
After Apocalypse
Stalemate in Canada. Previous attempts to retake the cities have ended with failure as more walkers seem to appear in more numbers. The Canadian Security Intelligence Service began their investigation and proposed the immediate sabotage of bridges and diverging walkers away from Canada in order for the "Big Push" to succeed. Intelligence agents began picking out engineers and JTF2 special forces down South to preform such acts to "Set America Ablaze!". These brand new Pathfinder units began training in the Tundra by CSIS agents and JTF2. Among them is Richard. Now, after a year of Crash Course special operations, pathfinders are being deployed down South.
