Describe your character's life before the Apocalypse:
- Before the outbreak Bianca was simply drifting through life. She was not as goal oriented as her older sister Ramona. Bianca was just happy with her meager job, her small apartment and the daily ritual of wake up, work, come home and watch TV. It was a rut for most people. For Bianca it was her sweet spot. She didn't want much out of life. She didn't care that she didn't have a house with a white picket fence. Bianca didn't mind that she wasn't married with children by the time she was pushing 26. Bianca didn't worry about things that hadn't happened yet. She found herself just enjoying the moment. She couldn't ask for anything more than a good time in the moment she was having. Bianca and her sister didn't always see eye to eye. Ramona was a bossy woman who thought she knew what was best for everyone around her. Bianca knew she was capable of making her own choices. The two had an argument and had fallen on bad terms. Bianca didn't talk to her sister much anymore these days.
What happened to your character on Outbreak Day?:
- On outbreak day Bianca was coming home from work. She sleepily fished the keys out of her pocket and yawned as the key found the lock. She lived alone in a quiet neighborhood. She didn't see any of the dead walking the streets. She went to work and found out that the place was closed. That didn't bother her much as she was out drinking pretty much the whole night the night before. Bianca's head was killing her and she was completely hung over. It was only 11 in the morning and all she could think about was sleep. Bianca stood there in the doorway trying to find the right key. Quietly she cussed at her fumbling hands as she heard a trash can knocked over behind her building.
Outside on the street was the usual affair. People honking at each other to get their asses moving. Cars were everywhere and people generally seemed to be in a rush. Bianca didn't pay it any mind. She didn't know that people were evacuating the city. She just assumed it was another morning in New York with the traffic so bad that you wondered why even bother owning a car at all. She finally got the key in her lock and pushed her door open. Before she stepped in she heard coughing in the hall. Bianca looked to see that it was Mrs. Deswick from down the hall. She seemed terribly sick. For a moment she considered going inside and quickly closing the door. She felt like shit enough already without catching a cold, but something egged her on to check on her.
Bianca: You ok there Mrs. Deswick?
She called out. Bianca stuffed her keys in her pocket and moved closer to the woman who was now leaning on the wall for support. Mrs. Deswicks eyes were glassy and red. She hacked and coughed like she was trying to get rid of her internal organs through her throat. Bianca made a disgusted face, but still she moved closer.
Bianca: Mrs. Deswick?
Mrs. Deswick collapsed on the floor and spit up blood. It was enough to make Bianca panic. She pulled out her phone and tried dialing the police. All she got for her trouble was a busy signal. How can the police be buys? She wondered. She tried banging on neighboring doors. She got either no answer or people telling her to leave her to die she's been biten. Mrs. Deswick did have a bite but what did that matter? Bianca had been Netflix binging. She hadn't seen any of the new reports lately. Mrs. Deswick died moments later in the hallway of the apartment. Bianca, terrified ran in her apartment and slammed the door. She couldn't stand the sight of a dead body.
Describe your character's life after the Apocalypse:
For the longest time Bianca has done her best to avoid people. She didn't trust people very easily after things started getting bad. People became the worst versions of theirselves when things turned to shit. People were rioting in the streets, raping, murdering. She did her best to make herself as invisible as possible. That was until things started running low. Food was getting low and she had to venture further and further away from the comfort zone of her apartment to find something just to keep herself going.
Eventually she fell in with a group of people. It was a small group. Mostly every day joes just surviving the best they could. There was a guy who used to be a mailman, a plumber, a cashier at the local supermarket. Just average every day guys and girls who had nothing special about them that helped them survive but somehow they were still there. Bianca fit into that category nicely. She was just a coffee shop barista. She had no real ambition in life. She had nothing that made her uniquely special, but she was there.... Surviving. Bianca stayed with that group for awhile until she found herself the last one alive. One by one each of them got killed, by bites, gunshots, just stupid accidents and people being careless.
Four years into the outbreak and she found herself alone. Bianca had no one to guide her. There was no one to make her care either way weather she lived or died. For awhile she fell into a self destructive pattern. She was gluttonous with her supplies. Bianca went out of her way to put down walkers that otherwise would have caused no problems for her. She just wanted to lash out at everything around her. Bianca didn't stay in New York. The ghosts of her past were to haunting for her to care to stay. She stayed mostly to the east coast and found her way down through Connecticut and Virginia. Eventually, she pushed a westward a little ways and ended up near Ohio. Bianca mourned the loss of her group in this self destructive way for awhile before coming to her senses.
For the better part of a year she listlessly waded through life with out much purpose or reason. She stayed in abandoned houses and semi secured looted stores. Any place really that offered four walls and a roof. Bianca had been with her group for a good portion of the outbreak. People that over the years she had come to know as friend were all gone. She chose to get herself together. She detached herself from the pain of being alone and found new reasons to keep going.
Still, Bianca found herself wishing she had her sister with her, her mother. She couldn't even remember the argument that made them stop talking in the first place. When they did stop talking their mother sided with Ramona of course. Bianca had always been the black sheep. Now she had no idea if her family was alive or dead. She wouldn't put it past Ramona to still be alive. That bitch was to stubborn to die. Bianca has been surviving the same as she ever has. She is not special in away way. She's good with a bow and uses her wits to keep death from knocking on her door just a little longer, but she's not the capable badass that her sister was. Ramona was in the SWAT team. Bianca brewed coffee. Bianca has made it four years with her no training in being badass, she just wants to live..... Now she has slightly more ambition than before.
