Julie was up early the next morning. She slipped out of bed before Camilla rose. Before the little girl could come in and find them together with questions forming on her tiny innocent face. Julie quietly slipped out and closed the front door behind her. She headed over to her own house and pushed the door open. Standing in the doorway she didn't really want to enter it. It felt cold inside, empty and somehow the house had taken on an almost eerie presence. Julie just wanted to grab her backpack and her cattle prod. She was going out beyond the gates.
Stepping into the house she moved quickly. She didn't want to spend one minute in this house she didn't have to. Julie quickly gathered her things and changed her clothes. She threw on a pair of jeans and a baggy t-shirt before quickly leaving and closing the door behind her. Julie didn't believe in ghosts but she could feel Jordan's looming presence in there. Julie bounded down the porch steps.
Julie: ........
Ash: Julie stop!
Julie turned to see that Ash was standing there with her arms across her chest. Julie looked at her a moment. She wasn't sure what she wanted but she didn't think that anything this woman wanted could be good. She didn't know Ash very well only that her husband Mike had tried to choke her and that Ash didn't want anyone to know about it. Ever since Julie had been here, she had been all but ignored by the leaders of the group Mike and Ash, until last night's events. Last night was a whirlwind of crazy outcomes. Julie stared at Ash.
Julie: What Ash gone on a run.
Ash: And that's fine you can do that, but can do me a favor?
Julie: .......
Ash: If you happen across any houses can you check around a few? There's a boy missing. Pete. He's about 16. We don't have the resources to find off another attack and send out a search party.
Julie: I don't even know what he looks....
Ash handed Julie a picture.
Ash: His parents are worried. Just if you see him please...
Julie: Ok.
Julie said tucking the picture into her pocket. She didn't care of Ash or her husband, but she wasn't going to let her feelings leave a missing boy out there alone, if she saw him she'd bring him back. Julie was a good shot with a gun. She was fast and she knew how to kill walkers. She still didn't like to, even after all this time she felt guilty like they were still partialy human or something. Julie nodded and started heading towards the gate again. The lookout saw that she was headed out and opened the outter gate to let her slip through before closing it again. Julie was going out for her own reasons, but she would find that kid if she could.
