Describe your character's life before the Apocalypse:
- Collin Spencer was a star. He was named Ohio's best real estate agent four years running. Collin was just good at his job. He could sell hot sauce to a man burning in hell. Collin was always great at the art of persuasion. It was just his natural gift. So he identified with his persona of sales man. It was in his DNAso much that he really saw himself as that and nothing more. He was Collin Spencer Ohio's best real estate agent. When the house market dried up and things started to bottom out Collin felt the strain. He had a mental collapse and voluntarily checked himself into Sunny Shores Mental Hospital. It was there that he really began to deteriorate. Sunny Shores was horribly understaffed. The staff that was there, really didn't care about the patients and their mental health.
The floor that Collin was assigned to was headed up by a Doctor by the name of Debra Dillon. She wasn't concerned with the well being of her patients. She only cared about studying the human mind and it's reaction to different stressors. She preformed all kinds of unethical and illegal experiments on her patients including Collin. Debra used to experiment on all of her patients in different ways. Some she would starve, some she would blanket in darkness for weeks on end. In Collin's case she gave him a plastic toy cell phone and watched him form imaginary friendships. He first committed himself when he began seeing the ghost of Abraham Lincoln. From there, under Debra's lack of care his delusions only got worse. Collin has never fully recovered from his mental breakdown. The stress of the apocalypse only made it worse. Though there is hope that he could one day reclaim his sanity.
What happened to your character on Outbreak Day?:
- On outbreak Day Collin was sitting in his cell. He was talking on the phone to Oprah about how bad his situation was. Luckily for Collin Oprah promised him that she would come to Ohio personally and buy 20 houses from him. To get him out of his rut and back on his feet. Collin was very happy to have accidentally dialed the wrong number and connected to Oprah's secretary. He was actually trying to call blockbuster and ask if he could re rent Army of Darkness staring Bruce Campbell over the phone. He loved it so much he wanted to hang onto his copy a few more days. But instead he made the lucky break of accidentally calling on of one of the richest women on the planet. Really this was all in his head. He was calling on his yellow spongebob phone that Debra had given him. Collin didn't even realize it wasn't real.
It was a big blocky phone that looked like a giant brick. Those kind of phones they had in the 80's It was yellow and had spongebob's face all over it and a giant rubber antenna. Collin sat in his cell making more calls. He called his parents who were long dead and told them the good news. He called his girlfriend on his pretend phone and told her their money problems were over. He made a bunch of calls to time magazine to tell him he was about to be named best real estate agent in the world, but the bastards at time magazine wouldn't return his calls!!!! Collin spent outbreak day blissfully unaware of the apocalypse. He was to far gone in his own delusions.
Describe your character's life after the Apocalypse:
-Eventually, even the crazies were aware that the world had ended. Well, partially aware. Collin found himself alone. The staff at the hospital had long deserted the place. Collin wasn't sure what he was going to do. He hadn't seen the outside of those hospital walls in over two years. He was a free man again. Free to be set upon the world and find his own path. Collin was scared of these new world. It was dark, and full of dead people. Collin didn't give up hope though. He kept his spirits up as he made his new identity in this post apocalyptic world. Eventually he found a kind man named Dr. Blake. Dr. Blake was a doctor. Collin knew he still needed some kind of professional help. He was crazy, but he wasn't craaaazy. Collin volunteered to help Dr. Blake who said he was building an army. Sounded like fun. Sounded like the kind of thing that Collin could get behind. He could serve his country and show his girlfriend how brave he was. Where is my girlfriend Collin wondered for a moment. He couldn't remember the last time he had seen her. Though he quickly forgot about it. Collin's mind didn't focus on one thing for very long before the next interesting thing grabbed his attention.
Collin didn't tell Dr.Blake about the ghosts that had been following him. It wasn't just the kind of thing you spring on someone. Collin was going to have to find the right time to bring it up. He was surprised to find that Dr. Dillon was Dr. Blake's assistant. She was always nice to Collin for the most part but something about her always gave him the creeps. Collin tried his best to stay out of Dr. Dillon's way. Collin now works for Dr. Blake who is a kind and sweet man. Sometimes Dr. Blake is angry and cruel. Collin doesn't like Dr. Blake when he's that way and tries to avoid him, but he follows his orders as given either way Weather he is in a kind or mean mood.
