The bridge of the Admiral Nakhimov was buzzing with activity as the Russian Force moved toward it's two objectives for the attack. While the instructions from Corporal Blackthorn had been to hit both the islands at the same time, Vice-Admiral Churkin had other plans. From what data they had, the island of Maui had a small airport, Kahului, south east of Honolulu. Churkin wasn't an idiot, aircraft were always going to be faster than naval vessels. For that reason, his best Naval Infantry were currently boarding four Mi-35s to begin the operation of clearing the airport. Starting with two gunships heading toward the control tower and then two heading toward the fuel dump. Once they were clear, the plan was for the Marshal Ustinov to escort in one of their Ropucha-class Landing Ship Tanks, which would land Naval Infantry and their BTR-82a APCs, T-90A tanks and limited 2S31 Vena mortar support. However they would be supported by both the Ustinov as well as the Ropucha itself.
Meanwhile, the Nakhimov, the Kharlamov and the Levchenko along with the last Ropucha would be making their way along with southern coastline of Maui toward Ooma each, the closest point to the airport where they could deposit their troops and vehicles. In the meanwhile, Naval Infantry from the two Udaloy-II destroyers and from his own vessel aboard Ka-29TB assault transports and establish a foothold in the airport, capturing the air traffic control tower as well as the main fuel stores. These would be essential to the future operation of aircraft in this theater of operations, after all the Americans had their own aircraft to worry about and couldn't be counted on to support their aircraft, which while they required far less resources to remain operational still required the attention of a dedicated ground crew, and as the overall commander Vice-Admiral Churkin still preferred to have a facility that was in the very least primarily operated by his own forces.
As such, while his ships made their way toward their targets, he listened carefully to the report coming in from the Lieutenant in command of the Naval Infantry advance force making their way toward Kahului. The four Mi-35s had made the hour long journey when both detachments set out at 0400 hours exactly as the Corporal had outlined in her plan. Churkin never thought he'd be taking strategic orders from an Army Corporal, but then again that woman was more deserving of a promotion than many an American officer he'd met. However, he pushed such thoughts out of his head, as he was informed by his executive officer that the gunships were now on their final approach according to the lead pilot, "Сэр, это Крокодил-1, теперь мы приближаемся к цели. Приближение визуального диапазона. Ожидание окончательного разрешения для выполнения плана атаки (Sir, this is Crocodile-1, we're making our approach on target now. Approaching visual range. Awaiting final authorization to carry out attack plan)."
The bridge fell silent and eyes were now on him. The only danger to his men now would be from MANPADs, that was if there were any that were still living at the airport. If that was the case, then he trusted the improved IR baffles and flares on the new model Hinds to keep his Naval Infantry alive long enough to insert them and then bug out. He knew that these men could handle just about anything thrown at them, especially with long ranged fire support close at hand. Reaching one hand up, he clicked his mic on, "Предоставлено разрешение, начните атаку (Authorization granted, commence attack)."
