Describe your character's life before the Apocalypse:
- Fearah is the daughter of Tera and Trevor Tremblay, Born in the early morning hours of the 13th of December she has always grown up loving the cold and snow. Fearah's mother eloped with her husband on her and her sister Jamie's 23rd birthday back across the US Canadian border when they still had duel citizenship. Fearah's childhood was a very, Interesting one. Her father joined the military when she was three and this caused the family to move around a lot, Fearah's earliest memories are falling asleep in the back seat of the car as they moved from one town to the next. When Fearah was eight her mother informed her that she was going to be a big sister, This excited Fearah to no end and ever sense her sister was born she did everything she could to help her mother take care of her sister while her father was at whichever base he was stationed at at the time. School and helping around the house consumed Fearah's childhood.
What happened to your character on Outbreak Day?:
- The day the world ended felt like just another day in the beginning, Fearah got out of bed and ready for school just like any other day, She was looking forward to it because today was taco day and who doesn't like tacos? The early morning classes where extremely quiet, Unusually quiet in fact and for some reason Fearah couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong when she saw a teacher come in and whisper something to hers before the duo swiftly existed the room with a hurried "Stay in your seats children, We'll be right back." followed by the other teachers class filing in, Grumbling and agitated mutterings filled the room as the herd of children waited for the teachers to come back from whatever they had rushed out for.
Fearah sat in the back of the room at her desk quietly wondering what had been so important to cause not one but two teachers and probably more for all they knew to leave their classes unattended.
The answer would come in the form of a PA announcement soon after. "All students report to the Gymnasium, All students report to the Gymnasium." which was followed shortly by the return of the two teachers who had left the room about fifteen minutes prior. They ushered Fearah and the rest of the children to the Gym where they sat for what seemed like forever before the principle made her way to the center of the court and started to address the students and faculty about the news that an 'emergency' was unfolding and that all students were to be sent home immediately
Shortly after the principle wrapped up and disappeared just as fast as she had appeared Fearah watched as her teacher began to make her way towards the bleachers while beginning to call to her class to follow her back to the classroom while parents were called. Fearah couldn't help but wonder what the 'emergency' that was being spoken of was and her curiosity got the better of her. Getting up Fearah moved to the teachers desk before asking the question that had been eating at her but as she did the teacher's eyes just started shooting around nervously before quickly shooing her back to her seat with a quick "It's nothing Fearah, Just something that needs to be worked out."
An hour or so later Fearah's grandmother (on her fathers side) showed up and the two started the journey back across town to her families house, The entire time Fearah couldn't help but notice how nervous her grandmother looked. "Whats wrong nanna?" She asked as she saw the house come into view. "Why are you taking me home?" she asked once more, Never receiving an answer. As they pulled into the driveway Fearah Noticed that her parents were busy packing their car with food and bags like they were going on a road trip. Confused, Fearah got out of the car and was quickly commanded by her mother to get in the other car with her younger sister and to wait for her to come back.
Moments later Tera returned and started the car, driving off in a rush, Fearah watched in confusion and fear as her house disappeared behind her. "Whats going on mom..?" "Where's dad?" "Where are we going?" she would ask numerous times. Never getting a response.
Describe your character's life after the Apocalypse:
- The family spent about a year on the road after that, Never staying in one place for long wasn't anything new to Fearah. Although the dead that had come back to life and started to attack people were and many a time Fearah found herself terrified that they would get her, But her father was always right there to save her. They made their way south after not finding anything of use in the area around their hometown and the amount of dead began to grow, Crossing the US Canadian border in search of the remaining family they had left The group reached Mackinaw City where they hid out for a few days in the attempt to replenish their food supplies. That's where the families luck began to falter.
The evening before the family were going to set out on the road again Fearah's father took her with him to fetch the gas that he had managed to siphon from the cars scattered around the building they had held out in when one of the Bitters lunged at her from behind one of the dumpsters, Her father managed to get between the two before the thing got to her but was bitten in the process, By this time the family knew what getting bit meant. It meant you died.. Fearah would never forget that night and blames herself for her fathers death.
Two more years of roaming from place to place would go by before Fearah would be faced with the event that would leave her devastated for years to come. After making their way to her Grandmothers house in Flint Michigan where they found a note telling someone named Jamie to Take 'Sarah' and meet them in Detroit. This led Fearah asking the inevitable which was "Who's Jamie and Sarah mom?" The question caused her mothers head to drop, making her way to the couch nearby she motioned for the two young girls to come sit next to her where she began to explain that she had a twin sister named Jamie and that she had a daughter named Sarah, That she did something behind their back and that they never forgave her for running away. At least, She didn't think they did.
They headed to Detroit after that in the hope that they would find the rest of the family. Fearah relished in the knowledge that she had a cousin around her age, Thinking of getting to know her when they found her helped keep her mind off the loss of her father that still burned brightly in her memories and dreams. They made it as far as the outskirts of Detroit with no problems but the term 'so close, Yet so far away.' comes to mind. It took them four days to get into the city and to a place that gave them a decent vantage point of the town. Making their way up the buildings long deserted stairs the trio cautiously crept. Fearah's mom had the rifle that her father had found in her hand While she had Fearah hold the pistol they had found a few days prior. Fearah didn't know how to feel about holding something that was used to kill the things that try to eat you but she did know one thing. That she needed to be strong, For her sister.
The bulk of the climb was thankfully uneventful but sadly, This led to the group gaining a false sense of safety, Led to them believing the building was completely void of Bitters. As they rounded the corner to the final level that wasn't blocked by debris they made their way into a small apartment, The main room was completely destroyed, probably by its inhabitant during the end but you never knew these days. Fearah was tasked with lookout at the door while her mother and younger sister went in to investigate and to get on the balcony to see what they could see. That's when it happened.
A bitter that had been in the small bedroom off the main room had taken notice of the trio and sneaked up behind the two on the balcony. All Fearah heard was the scream of her sister, Darting into the room the scene was playing out in slow motion, Kera lay on the ground with dead eyes and blood gushing from her neck while her mother was quickly being taken down by the second bitter that had come from the bathroom. Shaking Fearah raised the pistol and pulled the trigger. The weapon nearly flew out of her hand as the second round went flying, Thankfully they were close and Fearah had been taught where to aim to kill the monsters in front of her. But the damage had already been done.. Kera was dead and her mother was going to follow shortly after. "Babe... Come here." her mother whispered to her as Fearah let the pistol fall to the ground at her feet, Tears in her eyes as she observed the scene in front of her. Blood, The dead, Her dead sister, Dying mother, It was too much for the young girl. Tears started to fall as she let her head fall onto her mothers chest, Tera brought her hand up to rest on her daughter head as she talked. "Listen to me hun. You have to get out of here. Take the weapons and get out of here. There.. There was an island, South of here. You can see it from the balcony. There.. There looks like there are people there. Go there, Stay safe." she said before reaching into her pocket and bringing out Trevors Dog tags. "lean over" She muttered to Fearah as she brought her other hand to grip the other end of the necklace and clipped it around Fearah's neck.
With one last look back through the door at her family, Tears filling her eye's, rifle over her shoulder, pistol in its holster, Her fathers Dog Tags around her neck and his old knife in her hand Fearah started the long, lonesome journey back down the stairs. Fighting the urge to turn and run back to the two in that small room where she left her two best friends in the world but she knew what happened to people when they died and the thought of seeing them like that burned stronger than any urge to go back. She ran as fast as she could towards the bridge that she saw through the balcony and that her mother told her to get to. Making it there the guards were suspicious of her rush but thanks to a nice lady with brown hair and a kind demeanor Fearah was aloud in, taken through medical and given a place to stay.
Two more years would pass with her being there, The faces of her family still appear in her dreams at night but its safe here in Belle Isle, The people are nice and the bitters can't get to you. If Only the rest of her family was here, or the aunt and cousin that her mother spoke of.
Fearah may just be a child but she has proven herself to the belle isle community and has earned her spot in the safety. She's grateful to every last person that gave her a chance here and Although she struggles at times, She keeps trying to prove that she can be of use to the good people at Belle Isle.
