It had been a couple of days since Jenna had moved into Kelsey's bedroom and no one has been out lately. Waking up one morning, Jenna laid on the bed looking up at the ceiling with an arm wrapped around Kelsey's body. With what Jenna had been able to bring along from the wreckage wasn't enough for her. She only had a couple of sets of clothing and having to wash one while she was wearing the other was not an Ideal process. Plus she had to get her ammo that she didn't manage to grab before and hopefully her guitars were still salvageable as well. If not, she would be sad if she couldn't be able to play music for a long while until she finds herself a new set of guitars to replace the ones that are broken. As Jenna laid there, she was reliving the path ways that they took from the wreckage to here at 77th Street Police Station. In the last few days, Kelsey had taught Jenna how to do some basic medical treatment for if she was out in the field with a scout party or was alone and there was no one else to help her with any injuries she had sustained while outside of the safety of 77th's walls. Raising her left hand up, she looked at the watch she had found on one trip to scavenge and saw it read 6:49 A.M. Sighing a bit to herself, she knew she had been awake and laying there for the last two hours thinking of what she will need to take with her to be able to carry all the items that she had packed in her car. One of the things she was going to do while out was to look over her car and see if it was salvageable or if it was going to lay there as a road ornament. Lowering her left hand over her face, she gently rubbed her face a bit and gently moved to the edge of the bed where she sat up.
Kicking her feet over the edge as she sat there with both hands on her thighs while looking at the wall across from her. The wall had a few Polaroid pictures of Jenna and Kelsey pinned to it. Jenna had looked through the old supply closet and found an Old Camera that used Polaroid film with some left inside of the chamber. They had taken pictures of each other. It caused Jenna to smile at seeing the pictures and she looked back at her sleeping lover. Leaning gently over, she kissed Kelsey on the cheek and then stood up. In her bra and panties, she walked over to where her clean clothes were and slid on the black denim jeans and tightened her belt. After buttoning them on, she picked up her black vest and slid inside of it. Grabbing the zipper, she zipped it up so that her torso was covered but her arms were exposed. Grabbing her socks, she then leaned down and grabbed her boots and walked back over to the bed and sat down on the edge of it. Putting on her socks, she slid her feet into the boots and tied them tight so that the laces didn't slide out and cause the boots to be loose on her if she was in a moment of running. Standing back up, she went over to the desk where she and Kelsey left their side arms on and grabbed her .38 special revolver that was still in it's holster and clipped it to her belt and jeans hem line. One thing that was missing from the table was her pouch of spare ammo for the handgun. Looking around a bit, she found it was laying on the ground by the night stand. Hunching over Jenna picked it up and clipped it onto her side. Opening it, she saw that there was enough ammo inside it for two reloads which to her was enough. Clasping the flap back down onto the pouch, she walked over and looked at both the Enfield SA-80/ L85 and the Trench Shotgun 16 gauge. Thinking of safety purposes, she grabbed the assault rifle and slung it over her shoulder. Walking over towards the door, she picked up her lucky bag and had it sling over her neck and shoulder as it was carrying her spare clips for the Enfield.
As she was about to step out, she figured she should let Kelsey know what she was going to do. Walking back over towards the desk, she opened it and pulled out a pad of paper and a pencil. Putting the tip of the pencil to the paper, she began to write a note that was for Kelsey to read so that she didn't wake up worried as to where Jenna was. "Dear Kelsey. I'm heading out to gather the rest of my belongings from the wreck site that I had left a few blocks away from 77th street. It shouldn't take me to long to gather all that is left there, if there is anything left of mine that is. And in doing so, I'll be seeing if my car is able to be saved or not. I will have my radio on me if you need to get a hold of me. Love always, Jenna (Jay Jay)" Smiling a bit, she kissed the paper which left a faint mark of her lips on the paper. Now she was fully ready as she clipped her shoulder mic to her left shoulder and her radio behind herself. Stepping out of the bedroom and closing the door gently behind her, she made her way through the building, nodding to those that were awake already and starting their day. The one person she needed to talk to was one that she had been avoiding for a while now because of what was going on between herself and Kelsey and that was Ben. She needed his ok for her to go out and get her gear from the car. Making her way through the Station and trying not to bump into people as she went, she eventually came across Ben's bedroom and knocked on it a few times. Listening carefully, she didn't hear anything inside of the room. That was when she heard a espanic voice talking to her. "Yo Chica, are you looking for Ben, eh?" Turning to face the person, she saw it was the spanish former gang member standing there. Nodding her head, he nodded his head and said to her. "Well your in luck, essay is in Garage checking in on one of the broken Humvee's, seeing about how far the repairs are coming along." Smiling a bit, she replied to him. "Thanks Homes." The man just waved a bit as he went along his own way, leaving Jenna to walk through the building again towards the Garage where she heard Ben talking to the one Mechanic.
Sighing a bit, she looked at the floor before stepping inside the shop. Walking over to Ben, she looked at the man who had helped save her life. Tapping him on the shoulder to get his attention, Jenna would say to him. "Morning Ben, I need to talk to you about something. I was looking to go out on a run to get the rest of my belongings from the crash site and also see if I can check out on my car to see if it is still drive able or not. So I was wondering if I can get going now and get this over with or if you want someone to come along with me. Your call."
