Appearance:
- Sarah is small in stature for her age thanks to her moms genes. Standing at just 5'1 she is the definition of big things come in small packages. She wears a dark blue T-Shirt with dark denim jeans, Black Converse and has shoulder length brown hair. Sarah has scars on her hand from her time spent as a prisoner of unruly bandits, a scar on her left shin from when she was shot while being captured by them and a scar across her left eye leaving her blind in that eye. (Will add with PS if needed) She wears a necklace with her brother and mothers dog tags as a reminder of how the world is now.

List 3 or more good personality traits:
- Understanding; Sarah's experience over the years with the few groups she has been a part of has taught her that you cant expect everyone to get it right their first time and this has made her very patient when it comes to teaching someone a new skill such as proper rifle usage that she has had pounded into her head by her father and brother practically since she could hold one properly.
- Cool headed; Sarah always keeps a level head on her, She knows that emotions cloud your decision making so she bottles her emotions up during the heat of conflict and danger.
- Good listener; Sarah has learned over the last years spent alone (without her parents) have taught her that listening before acting is always among the best courses of action. Both in the field and in mundane conversation.
- Quick Thinker; Due to Sarah's high aptitude in school and her families strict military style of raising her she has always been quick with her problem solving abilities and this has carried over to her ability to solve problems under strict time crunches after the dead started roaming the earth.
-
List 3 or more bad personality traits:
- Untrusting; Sarah has not always run into good groups, multiple times she has run into groups that initially seemed good but the longer she stayed, the more she learned that they only wanted to use her and this has led to her being untrusting of new faces
- shy; Sarah was never the most talkative of people, she would rather be the one to sit and listen then be the one speaking and this has led to her not being able to fully convey her thoughts and can lead to misunderstandings in her attentions
- Bouts of depression; Sarah is generally a very cheerful person but will find herself depressed occasionally when she is confronted with things that reminds her of the days before the outbreak when her family was still intact.
-
-
List 3 strengths:
- Has become a proficient marksman over the years since the outbreak started
- Small Size; Allowing her to squeeze into small, well hidden places and collapsed buildings to use as firing/scouting positions
- Fast Learner; Sarah was the top of her class during school and learning comes as naturally to her as breathing does to most
- well spoken; Sarah is very well spoken for her age, uses some terms that some adults don't know.
-
List 3 flaws:
- bad vision in left eye due to the injury she sustained on her face leading to her being half blind in it
- gets sick often, has a weak immune system
- left hand stiffens at times during cold weather from the damage caused by bandits

Describe your character's life before the Apocalypse:
Sarah was the daughter of Terry and Jamie Bouchard who's families originated from Alberta Canada. Sarah spent most of her childhood moving around the country due to her entire family being members of the military and this led to Sarah not having many school friends so after her 4th grade year she shut herself away from socializing with her peers leading to her becoming a very shy member of society.
Her father was determined that she would follow in her brothers footsteps and become a marine sniper. At a young age he started taking her out to shooting ranges and the like teaching her the ins and outs of the weapon's at his disposal. Sarah's life was an endless routine of moving, school and drills by her father. Her mother and older brother were both in active service and she cherished the moments she was able to spend with them when they got leave or otherwise came home for some reason.
This was how Sarah was raised.
What happened to your character on Outbreak Day?:
On the day of the outbreak Sarah was at school, father was at work and mother and brother were at home while on leave from their posts. It was a short day for her due to her getting sick to her stomach and she was being taken home by her principle as she was every now and again when her father was unable to leave his post at Camp Grayling. They had made their way through the town and it seemed... Oddly empty, cars seemed to just disappear, people too. Getting to her house which was towards the outskirts of town Sarah got out, thanked her principle and turned to make her way to her house.
As she approached she was taken aback by the quietness that descended on the area after her principle's car disappeared into the distance. No dog barking, No TV sounding from her brother being deaf in one ear from a grenade, Nothing. Entering the house she had her first encounter with the beasts; Two of them had made their way in through the door that was very oddly standing wide open. They attacked her which but thanks to the training her family had pounded into her she was able to avoid them and get to the gun case in her parents room where her father stored their rifles and ammo
After dispatching the few beasts that made it into her now dead quiet house she searched for her mother and brother. She found them, in the outhouse behind the main building in a small crawl space that Sarah and Jacob used to play hide and seek in.. They were being eaten by another one of those things and looked to not be breathing. Killing the beast revealed that they were indeed dead and this devastated Sarah and all she could think about was that the same thing could have happened to her father as she ran back into the house and attempted to dial the police but the lines were busy and she couldn't get through. Panic started to set in.
Sarah darted back to her room and snatched up her bag as her fathers words echoed in her ears. "If things go south and you cant find help, prepare to move." dumped the items from her school bag onto her bed, put her mother and brothers dog tags around her neck and packed her bag with a change of clothes, what little amount of food and medicine she could find in and sat on the couch clinging to her rifle out of fear that more of the creatures that broke in and killed her mother and brother as she tried to reason to herself that she needed to be strong and hoped that her father would walk through the door soon.
Describe your character's life after the Apocalypse:
Sarah spent the next three months searching for her father, making her way to Camp Grayling she found the place a complete disaster zone. Whatever happened there had happened fast and caught everyone off guard.
Reaching the guard station on the main road leading into the compound there wasn't a soul in sight. No guards, No Roamers. Just the wind and birds could be heard as she made her way passed the station and gripped her weapon tighter in her hands. She spent the next two days camping and searching the compound for her father to no avail but she was able to find a military grade bedroll that would come in handy for years to come.
Sarah spent the next four years traveling around Michigan in search of her father after that. Finding companionship in a man named Jake Smith she met at the first safe-zone she was able to make it to. The settlement wasn't meant to last though and after about a year it fell to a horde of roamers. Sarah and Jake made their way further north and found a small group of survivors up there holding out in a small apartment complex. It was smaller than her bedroom was and there were five of them total after Sarah and Jake arrived so you could say things were a tad cramped up there.
There Sarah befriended a girl about two years older than herself named Dusty Gifford. They had many common interests and hit it off almost immediately, Jake would often watch them with a smile planted firmly on his face from hearing Sarah's laughter in the evenings as dinner was cooking and the two girls would sit and share embarrassing stories about their past to each other. Those were good times for Sarah. Friends, love, It almost made her feel like the world wasn't completely shitty. But, good things aren't meant to last forever.
The Trio spent three months in that small apartment near the US/Canadian border before the good times ended. Food was hard to come by but thankfully there was a decent amount of wildlife in the area and they had managed to find a gun store that hadn't been hit which allowed them to stock up on ammo. It was late when the bandits came that fateful day and disrupted the peace of there small home, They wanted their supplies as most bandits these days do and would do anything to get it. All but Dusty and Sarah died that night.
Sarah went into a deep depression after that, She still had Dusty which helped but she had lost the man she had fallen in love with which hurt even more since she still hadn't found her father, or learned his fate. They were captured by the bandits and brought back to their camp where they held them captive for nearly two years where they did terrible things to the both of them.
Sarah had endured the death of not only the man she had fallen for but now she had endured the lose of her greatest friend. The bandits weren't expecting Sarah to try to escape after presenting her dead friend to her and reading her as being completely broken at this point. Sarah was not fully broken though and that following night was able to break free from her cell and steal her weapons back along with one of the guards knives while on her way out.
She stayed away from settlements after that just as much out of fear of getting close to someone again as finding out that the settlement is run by bandits. She had the marks of torture on her body at this point, most notably the scar that went across her nose and cut through the bottom of her now half useless eye from the initial interrogations the bandits put her and Dusty through.
A year passed before she decided that she had had enough of her solitude and after hearing whispers of a decently sized stronghold down south from the few good people she traded with near the Canadian border she decided to head south to explore the whispers and see if they are true.
