The was no Rest for the Weary and sore King as his mount carried him through the woods at a steady pace. His mind wasn't on the nameless son of his at home but with his queen and illegitimate daughter somewhere afraid. His body was beyond worn and his soldiers were tired but the Loyalty they gave him was beyond measure as they chose to come with him either way. Normally he would've told Baldur his plans but the man needed to be with his Adopted Son. He could hear the sound of hooves moving at a fast pace and pulling his steed to a halt he looked back.
It was Aaron catching up with him and he couldn't say he was surprised. "Do you ever stick to one place and rest ever?" Cedric asked with a smile on his face. Firmly he nudged his horse to walk on as they continued the trip. "So we believe the People that took her headed west which is where we will start. We can move up those hills and get a good view off of the ridge Line." He spoke to Aaron and pointed up at the ridge line they were headed towards.
Little did he know about the traps they had all over the hillsides. In the Clearing between the Hills, there was a large camp where the Raiders returning from over state lines were resting. They had supplies and captives to be slaves and sold off to others. As they moved through the wood line things seem eerily quite. "Halt Soldiers!" Cedric Order and everyone went quiet as his gaze scanned the surrounding Area. It was then that an Arrow went flying through the Air and crashed into the flesh of a Soldiers neck.
"Ambush!" Cedric Yelled to his small group of troops but it would be little to no use. The Mass of Raiders was over 20 and there was no way that his group of 8 would beat them. Either way, his sword was Drawn and he Charged towards the enemy on the back of his horse. What he didn't see coming was the Line of Sharpened Pikes that raised from the ground. One Railing Straight through his horse's chest and sent him flying through the air.
A loud thud was heard as he hit the ground and when he rolled over the remained of his group was surrounded. "Don't fight Men. Stand Down." He spoke Reluctantly not wanting any more of them dead today. Cedric was pulled to his feet and A Bare Chested man with the Mark of the banished stepped out.
Daniel:"Look what we got here. A king outside of his castle. Oh, you shouldn't have come out here Sire. Boy are you in some trouble."
