Michelle could not tell if this was the end of the road for them. Them being Sophia and the small group that they had tag along with thanks to Sophia's quick thinking. The young women looked outside toward the rode trees as she walked a little ways behind on Peanut the horse. Michelle could see Sophia discussing something with a man next to her in the pickup beside her. The small excuse for a convoy came to a stop when they approached on a group of men heavily armed that ordered for them to stand down. Before Michelle had time to react she was being tugged off her steed onto the hard asphalt below. "What the!" She began to say with the slightest of hesitation before her lips closed. The dark haired women stared down the barrel of mans guns pressed to Michelle's forehead taking notice of his very distinct tattoos.
All of them were lined up like cattle to the slaughter. While the leader of this unsavory group of men were busy interrogating a man from their group. Michelle backed away ever so slowly toward her horse while Sophia made slow progress back to the sedan. Everything felt as if in slow motion. Their was the sound of a mans cursing voice above all others before the sound of his scream as Sophia's vehicle ran him over. This offered Michelle the opportunity get a head start in escaping this assholes and thats exactly what she said. Peanut raced down the road until turning onto a dirt road that Michelle prayed lead to some refuge.
After a few minutes down the road Michelle saw what lied at the end of it. A magnificent looking house that was patricianly covered in ivy. Although their was no sign of Sophia, Michelle had little time as the sound of a sole bandits vehicle became louder along with the sound of what could be hundreds of undead inbound. The raven haired women got off her steed to open up the garage door which thankfully contained no living corpses. Once Peanut was inside the garage Michelle closed the door to the garage and hoped that it drew no attention. "I have to go investigate the rest of the house. Stay safe and quiet Peanut" Giving the large beast a gentle pet before unsheathing her machete. Silently reminding herself that she had work to do.
Michelle ventured out of the garage with caution. Even without any immediate threats in sight their was still the second floor and basement after Michelle had searched the first floor for walkers or people. She had just reached for the stair railing when a sound at the front door caught her attention. "Hello?" She yelled cautiously holding her weapon ready staying where she was. "I-Im no threat to you.." she said warningly. "I am armed though so don't try anything"
