"That be wise, since I wouldn't take no for an answer Mr. Cole. So, where are we starting off at for this Patrol? If I could make a suggestion, and that would be start off on the hills. We can survey all around the property from up there and it leads around the edge of the fencing towards the south eastern section of San Simeon and where we had spread the fence so far. But, since it's your men...you call the shots." Masumi said; without missing a beat, Bam nodded and quickly barked out his orders in a manner that would've made a Marine drill instructor proud. "Alright, you heard the lady; let's move out. Knoxville, you take the point; Dunn second position, Van Vugt third, we'll follow right behind. Let's go, everyone; the day ain't getting any longer..."

"Sounds like a winner," Tegan said as they turned and headed over to the table to eat. "Of course, knowing Sarah, she's probably hidden all the swimsuits here," letting her hand drift down along Mercy's back. "Of course," she added, giving Mercy a gentle squeeze as they got to the table, "we can always swim in our birthday suits," winking at her lover as they sat down to eat...
A smirk came across her face when she heard about her lover's sister most likely hiding the Swimsuits somewhere in the castle. A light laughter came out of her as she thought about Tamara and herself looking around for them. Feeling her squeeze Mercy caused her to squeeze her beautiful soul mate back in return and heard the next part with a wink. The smirk stayed on her face as she blushed lightly to the thought of them both swimming around in they're birthday suits. "I have no objections to that, it might be even more fun that way." Mercy replied with a wink of her own. They both sat down in they're chairs and began to eat the food that was made for them.
While eating, Mercy looked up to watch Tamara eat. Placing her elbow on the table and propping her head up on her hand as her head was tilted a bit. She was admiring the true beauty of Tamara. With a smile on her face, she couldn't help but feel like she was in heaven while watching her. There was no words that she could think of that could describe's how she felt or how she saw Tamara at the point in time. "You are so beautiful Tamara. I don't know how I've become so lucky in having you."

Masumi listened as Brandon gave out his orders to his men and woman. They all started for the hill with him and Masumi taking up the rear. With the safety on, she would follow along side of Bam. Watching around, keeping a look out for any walker or anything else that would cause troubles for them on this day. "So Bam, tell me about yourself. I'd like to know more about you since we will be sharing the same Castle together." The climb didn't take long for them all to reach and the view was great. Swiveling her head from one side to the other, she looked carefully on either of the hill.

If there was one thing that could be said about the Lyell sisters, it was that were complete opposites....one example of this: their eating styles.....while Sarah could lose yourself in thought while picking over pieces of food, the world could be blowing up around them and Tamara would keep on eating; indeed, a running joke from their youth held that whenever the Lyell family ordered takeout (which given their working-class Queens roots wasn't often) unless you wanted half the order to be gone by the time it got home, it was best not to let Tamara go pick it up.....on the other hand, Tegan mused as he meticulously devoured the breakfast plate of steak, eggs and mushrooms, it becomes a handy survival tool in a hostile world.
Pausing for a moment, Tegan looked up to see Mercy simply drinking in her beauty from across the board; the sight caused her to blush and stop to look at her soulmate as well.....she reached her hand across the table as Mercy said to her, "You are so beautiful Tamara. I don't know how I've become so lucky in having you." Smiling at the words, Tegan blushed a bit more, which pleasantly delighted her...for the first time in her life, Tegan felt whole and complete, finally having found someone who loved her for who she was, loved her not just for her beauty and looks but for everything else that made up a person's life....unlike all of her past relationships, which seemed to hang together by mere threads that could snap and tear at the least injury, this one seemed to be anchored in authenticity, in an honest love for each other. It only confirmed what Tegan had thought the night before, and that was that she had finally - finally - found the person she had been meant to be with...and as her hand grasped Mercy's, she replied, "and you're just as beautiful a person as well, Mercy...even though we don't know what'll happen in this life - no one does - there isn't anyone on this earth that I'd rather spend my time with than with you, Mercy...."

Smiling still as she watched Tamara. Tamara looked up and started to blush more and more between them talking back and forth to each other. Seeing her hand reaching over, Mercy slid her hand into Tamara's and they held each other. Smiling at the words that Tamara said, Mercy stood up and walked around the Table. Turning around a bit, she sat down in Tamara's lap and wrapped an arm around the back of Tamara's neck. Looking into her her eyes, she placed her other hand over Tamara's heart smiling as tears began to slide down her face. Signifying on what she had said the night before, that they're hearts were beating as one. Still watching Tamara, Mercy would say to her. "Your heart and soul is so pure and loving. You give most a chance when other's would most likely not. You show everyone Mercy, even if they don't really deserve it. I would rather spend the rest of my days with you then walking this plain lost. Tamara...I Love you. No matter what comes our way..."
She leaned to Tamara's face and gently kissed her on her lips. Breaking the kiss after a couple of minutes, she would say lightly. "I'll stand by your side. No storm or Earthquake...not even the Demons of hell could stand in between us. I am your soul mate as you are mine." Her hand would go to the side of Tamara's face and would rest gently on her cheek with her thumb sliding up and down slowly. Even with a few more tears sliding down, she smiled at Tamara as she hugged Tamara close to her, not wanting to let go. But, they had a meal to finish. Standing up, she walked back over to her seat and sat back down. Taking the fork into her hand, she picked up a piece of mushroom and ate it slowly.

"Well, most all of us got to know each other through our shared interest in stunt work and entertainment," Bam began; this caused Steve-O to chortle a moment...which was answered by, (a) a dope slap from both Knoxville and Dunn and (b) a momentary scowl from Bam. He continued on..."over time, we all became a bit of a surrogate family, doing shows across the country and stuff like that.....then we got caught up in all the chaos of the Great Panic at Rikers Island, of all places.
"Now, I know what you're thinking: what were you doing there? Well, long story short: there wasn't any other place we could perform at that was safe....little did we know that most of all of us that went there that day would eventually spend over three years as part of a larger community there, the Hive. We did our part: we helped them clean out the island when civilization fell...cleaned it out from one side of Rikers to the others. After a while, when they started rebuilding the island and needed bodies for security and what not, most all of us volunteered. That's how we got to know Tegan, by the way," Bam said, adding, "At first, we all thought Tegan was a stone hearted bitch - no offense - but over time we learned that that was her way of dealing with the chaos and the calamity of the world around us. Over time, though...and especially after she met Julie and then Mercy, she gradually let that cold stone self of hers' go.
Looking at Masumi, Bam said, "You know, there isn't anything we wouldn't do for her...and vice versa. And that goes for both her sister Sarah...and you, Masumi." Looking back out at the vistas in front of them, he added, "So, what brings you out here to this beautiful patch of California, Masumi?"

Masumi listened to everything, and when Steve-O started to gleefully laugh, she couldn't help but laugh as well. Bam continued with his tale about Tamara and how her cold self was put away when she met Julie and then Mercy. So that's who was with Tamara last night, that Native woman named Mercy. She thought to herself. He mentioned that there wasn't anything they wouldn't do as a group to help Tamara, Sarah and Herself. Smiling still, she bowed her head to it and replied to it. "And there isn't anything we wouldn't do for you and your group. We are now all one happy family now." Walking still, she looked to the one side to see a few of the residents working on the fences and a couple others working on the bigger gardens. When Bam asked her about her being in California, she looked at him as they continued they're walk around.
"Me? Well, before I came to the United States I was part of the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force...The Japanese Navy. I was 18 years old when I went into Basic training. Then I was shipped out after my time was done in boot camp. I jumped from ship to ship learning different things. I was an Electrical Tech and a Communication Officer. The last ship I served on was a Murasame-class destroyer, the JS Ariake. Being a Corporal, I was one of the best in the fleet. That year, we went to Pearl harbor for the Annual War Games. We were two days into the event when I received an Urgent message back from home. Tokyo. My mother, she was robbed at knife point and was stabbed. When I broke the news to my Captain, he gotten me on a Helicopter and flew back to the main land. I went straight to the Hospital in my naval fatigues. I was met by her Doctor who said my father left moments earlier because he didn't want to see his Transgender child and because he left this scar on my cheek when I told him of the news of becoming a woman. He took a knife and slashed it....but back to the story." Masumi would look down at the ground and let out a sigh. "The Doctor told me that my mother had past away from her injuries earlier that day. After losing the only family member that accepted me, I put in my papers and left Japan. I came to California to only hear that my old Naval Captain had put in word at The Consulate General Of Japan in San Francisco California. I was a translator there. Translating both English to Japanese and Japanese to English until the day hell broke loose. When I left San Francisco, I stayed at a Game Wardens loge for almost a year. One day I went out hunting, a group of Scavengers had found where I was staying at and started to attack it. I fought back and killed all but one who swore that they will be back to take revenge on me. After then, I roamed around from place to place, always looking over my shoulder. I was in a shopping mall by myself. I was so tired...tired of all the running I was doing. One day, Sarah and a few of her people was looking through the mall and found me. In my mind, I thought they were the group I had defended myself from. So I was waiting death, but was greeted with kindness. They took me in and ever since then, I've been by Sarah's side. A few months ago, me and her had confessed to each other how we felt to one another and became a couple ever since then...that's my story."

Smiling at the words that Tamara said, Mercy stood up and walked around the Table. Turning around a bit, she sat down in Tamara's lap and wrapped an arm around the back of Tamara's neck. Tears crept down Tegan's face as she listened to Mercy, felt the warm touch of her hand over her heart, the touch of her lips over her own...reaching over, she put her own heart over Mercy's chest and whispered, "You feel that? Our hearts, beating as one, in one time, each answering the other in perfect, perfect....," pausing to lean up and kiss Mercy as they sat together, "....rhythm and harmony...." pausing again as Mercy said in turn, "I'll stand by your side. No storm or Earthquake...not even the Demons of hell could stand in between us. I am your soul mate as you are mine."
"As I will in turn, Mercy; no matter what happens in this life, I will always be by your side," Tegan said as Mercy brushed the tears away from her face, "to comfort you, to hold you, to love you always and forever until our dying breaths on this earth....for my heart belongs to you and only you, Mercy," placing her hand over Mercy's to emphasize the point as they continued to sit there at the table.
Eventually, though, Mercy slid out from Tegan's grasp and sat back down on her side of the table; as they finished their meals, Tegan said to her, "You know, Mercy, I believe we just exchanged wedding vows there...."

As Mercy finished her Breakfast and picked up the glass of Orange juice, she sipped it and looked at Tamara as she spoke. Smiling brightly, she placed the cup down as she processed what her lover had just said to her. The blush returned to her cheeks as she sat forward and placed her Elbows onto the table's top and rested her head onto both her hands. "Tamara...are you...proposing to me? I agree, it does sound like we are going over our wedding vowels...so do you want to...marry me?" Tilting her head a bit, she lowered her hands onto the table's surface as more tears began to form and slide down her cheeks and dripping down from her chin.

Grasping both of Mercy's hands in hers, Tegan got up from her chair and walked over right next to where Mercy was sitting and knelt down on one knee before her.... "I was just about to ask that very question, love," she said, her voice calm and quiet. "Mercy, if there's one thing that the past few months have taught me, its' that nothing is ever certain and as much as my heart is grieving now, I simply could not go on living in this world if something were to happen to you....so yes, that is what I am asking....

"Mercy...will you marry me?"
Feeling her soulmates hands on her own hands, Mercy watched Tamara get up from her seat and walked over to Mercy's side of the table. Moving herself with the chair so that she was fully facing Tamara in case she was wanting to sit on her lap, but that wasn't the case. Tamara went to a knee that caused Mercy to blush more and more. As Tamara was explaining what she had learned and felt, it caused the Native American woman to begin to cry a bit as she tried to hold it back as best as she could. Then, Tamara popped the Question to her. She had asked her if she wanted to marry her. Speechless for a while, she slid off the chair and went to her knees as well so that her and Tamara were face to face. Streams of tears glistened on her cheeks as she nodded her head. Breathing a bit fast, she would reply. "Y-Yes! Yes Tamara...I will be happy to marry you and be your wife."
Bringing Tamara close to her, she hugged her tightly as she couldn't help but to cry. It was not sobs of sadness, but tears and whines of love and joy. moving back from the embrace, she looked her in those beautiful eyes of her and kissed her tenderly for a few moments. Breaking the kiss, she leaned back a bit and reached her hand behind her. Unsheathing her knife, she brought the black shining stone knife to bare. Taking the knife, she would take the blade and cut her left hand just enough for it to bleed. "With this cut of my flesh, I am swearing my body, life, and soul to you. Let our blood merge together to make our bond stronger. Allow our life force to go through each of our bodies so that no matter where we are, we will always be together.Tamara Lyell, the wolf of the city of steel and Glass, the one that stole the heart of the Roaming Coyote." For a few moments after popping the question, Tegan thought something was wrong....but then, after a bit of speechless silence, Mercy - tears streaming down her face ans joined Tegan on her knees on the bedroom floor also - gave her answer... Streams of tears glistened on her cheeks as she nodded her head. Breathing a bit fast, she would reply. "Y-Yes! Yes Tamara...I will be happy to marry you and be your wife."
Now Tegan was crying her own tears of joy and happiness as well as they embraced and kissed, no longer just two people who loved one another but a couple, committed to one another as couples since time immemorial had been. They kissed once more, then Tegan watched as Mercy took out a black stone knife from its' sheath at her back and watched her cut a small spot on her left hand, just enough of a spot to draw blood... "With this cut of my flesh, I am swearing my body, life, and soul to you. Let our blood merge together to make our bond stronger. Allow our life force to go through each of our bodies so that no matter where we are, we will always be together.Tamara Lyell, the wolf of the city of steel and Glass, the one that stole the heart of the Roaming Coyote," Mercy said, extending the stone knife to Tegan, handle first.
Steel Wolf, Tegan thought...I like that name; in her mind, she could picture her home back in Astoria-Queens and thought, the name suits me..it just fits. Taking the knife in her right hand, she extended her left hand out and followed Mercy's example, cutting a small place on her left hand, also just enough of a space to draw a little blood. Reaching over, she took hold of Mercy's left hand, palm-to-palm, and looked right into Mercy's eyes, repeating the words Mercy had said with words of her own... "With this cut of my flesh, I am swearing my body, my life and my soul to you. Let our blood merge together and make our bond stronger, allowing our life force to flow through each of us so that no matter where we are, we will always be together. Mercy Lockheart, the coyote of the prairies, the one who stole the heart of the Steel Wolf."

Watching Tamara, she didn't say anything. Just letting tears flow down her cheeks as Tamara did the process as well. They're hands held other, palm to palm. In a tight embrace of each other as they're blood merged into each other's bodies through the wounds they made. Smiling, she listened to Tamara say the words that Mercy spoke, but changed it slightly to fit her form of it. Once it was done, Mercy lowered they're left hands down to they're knees -still holding them together-, she leaned over to Tamara and kissed her again. Her right hand coming up and cupping the back of Tamara's neck. Breaking the kiss and leaning her forehead on Tamara's, Mercy sniffed a couple of times as she was still crying. Opening her blood shot eyes, she looked at Tamara's equally blood shot eyes. "My father, Stalking Wolf, would have loved to have met you...Tamara, Steel Wolf. My mother as well would have welcomed you into our tribe with loving arms."
Sliding her hand to over Tamara's heart, feeling the skin under her touch. Feeling the heart beating under her hand. Joyful bliss had consumed her and she couldn't say anything else. Not until they heard a knocking on the door. The man on the other end was David Forest. "Hey boss, you ok in there? We haven't seen you since yesterday. Also, Lawrence brought back a couple heavy Turkeys from his hunt this morning. So we are going to have a Turkey dinner tonight." They both heard the handle of the door begin to open and Mercy saw that Tamara was still in her bran and underwear. Grabbing the blanket that still smelled of they're sweat, she pulled it over Tamara to cover her body.

Before Tegan could say or do anything, both her and Mercy heard a knock on the bedroom door....it was one of their fellow Scouts outside, asking how she was doing... "Hey boss, you ok in there? We haven't seen you since yesterday. Also, Lawrence brought back a couple heavy Turkeys from his hunt this morning. So we are going to have a Turkey dinner tonight."
Shaking her head at the sound of David's voice, Tegan called out to him through the door, "We'll be with you in a minute, David," as Mercy grabbed the blanket off of their bed and covered her with it; getting up from the floor - Mercy's hand grasped with her - Tegan said, "No sense not telling him," holding a finger to Mercy's lips as she walked over and opened the door, the blanket covering her. "David, thanks for coming up here; I'm feeling....I'm feeling much better than I was yesterday, but I've got something I need to tell you, so come on in."
Stepping back from the door, she waited for David to step inside before continuing. "David, this is going to come as a bit of a shock given what happened yesterday, but I wanted to tell you first before I tell anyone other than Sarah this," squeezing Mercy's hand as she continued. "I know its' sudden all all - and there's always going to be a little part of me that's gone now with Julie's passing, but I gave what I'm about to say a lot of thought last night." Looking over at Mercy and smiling, Tegan said, "David, I've asked Mercy's hand in marriage and she said yes to me just a little bit ago," pausing to wipe away a tear or two, "and there's two things I need you to do for me.
"First, keep this under your hat - well, in your case, pecs - until I've told Sarah this; I know Sarah's planning to get married sometime down the road and if she agrees to it, I'd like it to be a double wedding," smiling at Mercy before adding, "and I'm going to need an honor guard when that day arrives and I'd like you to be part of it."
Post by David Forest on Mar 4, 2017 13:07:00 GMT -5
When Tamara opened the door before he could push it open, he was greeted by Tamara who was covered from her neck down to half way across the floor by a queen size blanket. She greeted him and asked him to come in for she needed to tell him something. Nodding his head, he stepped into the room and the door closed behind him. His M-16 was slung over his shoulders. His dark brown eyes saw Mercy. Tamara then moved over towards her, before she would break the news, David said to her. "I'm glad to hear you are feeling better from yesterday. So why is Mercy in h-" He cut his sentence as he saw the age old stare from Tamara, so he shut his mouth. So he stood there listening to Tamara and what she had to say. As she spoke and went on as to what had happened the last dozen of hours, his face showed of shock.
Moving over towards the bed, he sat down. It was true, that a bit of everyone had went with Julie when she died. But times weren't like what they once were. But his face of shock was not of despite or out of ignorance and or fear, but it was a joyful one. She then asked him to keep it under wraps, or under his pecs which made him chuckle a bit. Then he was asked to be part of the weddings Honor Guard. Smiling, he looked at them both. Standing back up, he walked over to them and gave them both a big bear like hug holding them both close. "Well of course I'll keep it all hush hush. And of course I'll be part of the Honor Guard. It wouldn't be a wedding without the Pecinator having some type of role in it." Breaking away from the hug of them both and having smelled the blanket, he needed to stand back away from Tamara. "And ummm...I'll see about if there is any kind of spray to mask the scent in here. But umm...if we go out hunting, what else would you want for dinner for the grand reveal of your two's union?"

Mercy was about to say something, but Tamara placed her index finger on her lips. Smiling a bit, she kissed the index finger and nodded her head. Standing up with Tamara, she would move up a bit towards the door. Tamara greeted him and stepped back to Mercy. The native American moved her hand into Tamara's hand and held it while smiling. The explaining began to David as Mercy just kept her mouth shut. Watching the two going back and forth, she saw the tears coming down her soul mate and soon to be wife's cheeks. Moving closer to her, she wrapped her arm around Tamara's waist as she looked at David as he began to talk. He gotten up off the bed and came over to them. She thought she was going to get chewed out until David decided to hug both the women at the same time with his massive arms. Looking over at Tamara with a bewildered look, Mercy was a bit confused at the embrace.
David broke the hug and stepped back, he asked if there was anything else they would want to be added to the feast of Turkey. Mercy thought about it for a bit as she said. "Some deer and Vegetables would be nice. And if it's not any trouble, wild fruit?" David looked at Mercy and nodded his head as he repeated the requests out loud to himself. Stepping back towards the door, he walked out and shut the door behind him. Mercy's arm was still around Tamara's waist as they stood there for a moment. "Wow...he's something...umm...else isn't he?"

Breaking away from the hug of them both and having smelled the blanket, he needed to stand back away from Tamara. "And ummm...I'll see about if there is any kind of spray to mask the scent in here. But umm...if we go out hunting, what else would you want for dinner for the grand reveal of your two's union?"
Listening to both David and Mercy, Tamara wiped away some of the tears she just knew had to have been streaming down her face earlier; watching him head out of the bedroom, she hugged Mercy close as she mentioned something about him and replied, "Yeah, David has his foibles...but he's a rock-solid person and that's all that counts." Leaning over to kiss her now-fiance, she added, looking down at herself a moment or two, "Guess I probably should get dressed here before I head out, don't'cha' think?" winking at Mercy as she spoke.

Holding close to Tamara and kissing her lips softly, Tamara broke the kiss and looked down at herself and said that she would need to get dressed, followed with a wink at the end. Moving away from Tamara, Mercy picked up the clothing off the floor that had fallen to the ground from her pulling the full blanket from the bed. Moving them and herself to the bed, she would sit down and lay the clothing beside herself. Leaning back as she put her arms behind her back to prop herself up. Tilting her head a bit, she was drinking up the full body of her fiance. Smiling she would reply. "Yeah, you should if you are wanting to walk around the castle. Or we could just be in our Birthday suits in here...but sadly I wouldn't be able to til later on since I have to check up on Jason still." Mercy said with a wink of her own. Reaching to the one side of the bed, she pulled up her medical bag and set it on the other side of her. Taking out a few gauze patches and a couple of wrappings for both of them, she looked at her left hand. She had made a blood bond with Tamara, they are to be married.
Smiling still, she brought her right hand up as she felt a few more tears sliding down her face. Wiping them away, she would sniff a bit. "To be honest with you, I thought I would never get married. But, here I am. In an amazing and equally beautiful woman's bedroom. Been proposed to by you. Great Spirit, please, if this is a dream...don't let me wake from it." She said lightly to herself as she then looked back at Tamara smiling.

"That's...that just cold," Bam said when he heard what Masumi's father had done, "him walking away at a time of grief over who and what you are; that's just cold as hell," spitting at the ground in abject disgust. "Any man who does that to their kid ain't fit to be a man in my opinion," pausing as he and the others listened to the rest of what Masumi had to say. "So that's why you and Sarah...," Bam said, his voice trailing off before he added, "but if Sarah's anything like Tamara, you've got the best friend anyone could ever hope to have," continuing on s they on the ridgeline, looking out at everything around them. "And with the rest of us behind her, probably the largest extended family one could hope to have behind them as well.
"And you've proven something Tamara said to all of us a few times back in New York when things were feeling down...'you got two choices in this world we live in: you can either stand and fight for what you believe in and make the best of what the world has to offer or you can live on your knees and cower at every little thing'." Looking over at Masumi, he added, "the fact that you've made it this far proves the point; everyday you can get up and face the world is another day to the good..."

As they walked, Brandon talked a bit about what he felt towards her father at how he reacted and everything. Telling her that they are one of the largest Families that was now behind her which caused her to smile. He then told her a saying that Tamara once told them a long time ago in New York about either Fighting to survive and be strong or to be a coward and wait for yourself to just die from everything that causes you to fear. Nodding her head, she would then say to him.
"One thing you have to understand about my father. He was raised in the old ways of Japans culture. Women weren't allowed to have businesses of they're own or inherit such. We were treated back then as objects that cleaned the home, took care of the children and bore the children of our husbands. He owned a multi-million dollar Corporation and that I was going to be the next in line to over see it and be the head CEO of it. That was a life style I did not want for it drove my father to drink. Even with all he had done to me, I still loved and respected him. He may have scarred me for life, but he is still my father who raised in a time where there was no such thing as Homosexuals or Transgenders. Back then, you were either a man or a woman. But Unlike my father, I chose to live my life the way I wanted to. Not to be spoiled by the riches of what the company was bringing in or to be fed with a silver spoon. Yeah, it was kinda nice having people flirting with me, both ladies and guys, but I just didn't feel right being a man. Like I the cocoon, I broke free from it and spread my wings open to become a butterfly. And it lead me here. Sarah has been through a lot with me and has never once raised her voice and hand to me. She is very much so my best friend and my soul mate."
Looking at the areas around them, she was wondering what he had meant by her and Sarah and then trailed off. Looking at him. She would say to him. "You can speak your mind Brandon. No one here judges anyone for what they feel or say. I rather much encourage those to speak up on what they think for it gives me a sense of who I am dealing with. That goes for everyone. So please, finish your thought about me and my fiance Sarah." They continued to walk some more before they stopped again to look around. At the far east of the valley, she could see a few of they're scouts dealing with a couple of the dead who were up against the fence. Turning her head, she saw the one named Lawrence going back into the woods. She had guessed he was going out to hunt since he had a bow with an arrow knocked to the Bow's string.
