Julie felt the final push before he rolled over beside her. Julie had her head turned away from him. She was staring at the floor. To exhausted to move. The stillness and the quiet in the room was deafening. Julie sniffled a little, still crying some. When suddenly Rook had taken her pillow. Noticed the tearstains in it and freaked out. Suddenly he was standing and getting dressed. Julie's eyes moved over to him. She sat up a little and her red puffy eyes looked at him. She said nothing only stared at him. Was he really leaving? Julie's eyes threw accusations of him, but not the same accusations that he thought. Julie was staring daggers into him because he was suddenly leaving after that. He didn't want to stay, he got what he wanted and now he was leaving. It made her feel cheap and dirty. She didn't like it so she glared at him angrily until he was moving to the door and tossing her a half assed "I'm sorry." The door closed behind him and Julie began to cry. Deep sobs that made her shoulders lurk as she sat up and sat at the edge of the mattress. Julie slipped her shirt on, followed by her shorts and sneakers. Julie tried to stand, but even that small act was painful right now. Her stomach ached and she was sore all over. Her muscles tensed and spasmed as she mad her way to the door. Julie grapsed the handle and opened the door. Across the hall she heard the other dorm room door close. Julie stared at it a moment before she moved quietly down the stairs. She wiped her nose with her wrist and quietly wondered how she could have been so stupid. Julie moved to the kitchen and pushed the door open lightly with one hand. She stared at that hand for a moment pausing to take in her wedding ring on her finger. She didn't deserve to wear it. She thought. She looked around the kitchen and through the window she had noticed that the first bit of light had started peeking into the kitchen. They had been up all night? Surely she should sleep, but she doubted her troubled mind would allow it. Julie moved from one side of the kitchen to the other picking up random broken things that was destroyed last night. She swept of the glass, she flipped the table back right side up. Julie did her best to make the kitchen nice again. She opened the cabinets and found a box of Honey nut cheerios. Julie made a face at them and sniffled again still crying a little. Cleaning hadn't done much to lift her spirits, she still felt used; even though she wanted it too. It hurt because she was so easily forgotten only two minutes after. She looked at her hand on the counter and glanced at her ring again. Forgotten about..... She thought. I should be used to the feeling. Julie walked back to the table and sat down. She had spent a good couple hours putting the kitchen back in order and now she was sitting down for breakfast with a box of stale cheerios. Julie slipped her hand in the box and grabbed a handful. She absentmindedly ate while just staring at the wall. That was until she heard the noise coming from upstairs. Rook was awake or at least moving around up there. A few more days. She thought. A few more days and he'll be feeling good enough to travel. Julie reached in her pocket and pulled out the Doxycycline and set it on the table.
When he got down here she'd make him take his pills and she would see about going out maybe finding a few supplies. They had more than enough food, but there wasn't much water here. She hadn't noticed any when she was cleaning up the kitchen, except for a bottle that was carelessly tossed at a wall and had spilled all over the floor. Julie grabbed another handful of cereal and ate it while she thought about what she was going to do. Would she tell Tegan what happened? What would Rook say when he found out about Tegan? Why did I do it? These were all good questions and she really didn't have any answers right now. Julie only knew that she wanted to check around and go on a run see what she could find. But first she had to wait for Rook to get up so she could let him know she was leaving.
