(This takes place... a Day after the fall of the Hamptons)
The sunlight crept in, slowly at first, each stained glass piece began to shine as the growing sunlight trickled in through. The church was at a all time low as far as attendance went. The pews were empty besides the young woman and child sleeping in the row behind the front. One of them was sleeping soundly at least.. Koya. The small child was curled up next to her mother with the protective arm of Sisa's around her. Gently brushing the little ones dark black hair as Sisa silently thought to herself. She has no idea where the others had gone after the attack. They could all be scattered miles away from her by now or a couple blocks away and she would have no clue. The food she had managed to gather was running low and neither going out on her own or bringing Koya along with her when she searched for food felt like a good thing.
Meanwhile the thoughts filled her head Koya began to wake up, eventually in a matter of moments the toddler was up and standing. That big smile in the morning made it all barable for Sisa. She had a smile growing while she sat up in the pew reaching out to touch her child. Koya had other plans and waddled toward their pile of remaining supplies at the alter. "Your fond of that little thing." The words slipped past her lips while the little girl held a small stuffed tiger in hand. It was one of the few gifts the child had and one that her dear uncles Nickiah and Dean had given. The sight of the tiger plushy both made Sisa feel joy and sorrow. On one side she was reminded her good time with Zack and Annie while on the other was memory of their loss and absence.
Sisa got up from the pew and stretched lazily to a minor extent. Her neck and fingers cracked, that was good enough for her as the start of the day. Dark eyes watched her child toy with the stuffed tiger in amusement. With Koya distracted it helped make the daily inspections easier without the child screaming her head off for Mommy. Sisa grabbed her tomahawk from its leaning stance against the wall before finally approaching the church's front doors. She took one past glance back toward Koya before finally opening the doors and peaking out.
Things seemed to be just as they had been the day before.. quiet. The church was relatively remote and it seemed their was little signs of life other then the remnants of old farm houses here and there a crossed the surrounding area. Sisa squinted while she tried to look down the road for a sign of anything or anyone.. sooner or later they would have to move again but for the time being. The young women figured it was best to hunker down here for a while and figure out her bearings. Softlty she sighed as she kept stareing down the road from her position behind the church doors. Was she really just checking for danger or silently hoping that one of these day the people she knew would come driving up that road.
