Nelson looked up when Taylor made her move. She was quick, but his men were quicker. They disarmed her before she was ever a threat to their boss. Nelson was disappointed and pleased. He was disappointed in his men for not searching her before hand, but he was pleased to see the strength and determination that Taylor posses. Not one of those frightened scared bunnies who flinched at every creek in the floor boards. No she was strong. Virile. She had Gumption. Nelson closed his book with one hand and allowed his hand to rest on top of it. He crossed his leg and took off his glasses and began cleaning them as Taylor writhed on the floor. It was so hard to keep glasses clean these days, he thought quietly. Placing the glasses back on his face Nelson stood up. He thought himself superior in everyway. No one could match him in a hand to hand fight, because he predicted your movements, you couldn't out smart him, because he was always a few steps ahead. Nelson was a mental powerhouse, that was his strength. His weaknesses lied in his ego, his underestimation of people, and his general lack of empathy towards others. Nelson walked over to where Taylor and Bailey stood.
Nelson: Do you feel better? Now that you got that little rebellion out of your system? Buster is on foot. At any moment I can have men out there combing the area for him with orders to shoot to kill. I like Buster. He's interesting. But, make no mistake....... I will kill him if you try anything like that again.
Nelson was waiting for his information. Her ten minutes were up. This was where he decided weather she lived to see tomorrow or died at his feet. Nelson watched over her. She was still holding her stomach from where she was kicked. He didn't happen to notice the slight flutter or Baileys' eyelids. He was so engrossed in his lecturing that he didn't notice a gloved hand slipping into the pocket of her leather jacket. Nelson's focus was on the ebony ember that burned with a vengeful heat. Nelson looked down at her gun in front of her and shook his head. He didn't bother to pick it up. She wouldn't try that again. Nelson was crouched in front of her now. That is when Bailey surprised everyone. She had woke up right after Buster left. Hearing unfamiliar voices she just laid there listening. Taylor brought her here. She called her a bargaining chip. Where the fuck was she, she thought, but continued to listen. Until the voice was right next to her crouching. It was the opportunity she needed. Bailey sprang up. She leaned up with a speed no one excepted. Switchblade in her hand. The blade sprang forth and Bailey buried the knife into his ribs. Nelson cried out a startled shriek of madness and pain.
Bailey: FUCK YOU GARFUNKLE!
Bailey grabbed Taylor's hand and yanked her up, or she tried to. She was mid turn before a forceful hand snatched her by her hair and spun her around. She turned to see a fist flying into her nose. Bailey stumbled back and crashed over the table. She spilled Nelson's reading matieral, charts and paperwork. Bailey rolled across the table and landed hard on the cold floor on the other side. Bailey started crying as blood gushed from her nose. Bust her tears turned to anger. Bailey pulled the gun from the back of her skirt and shot the guy; who was stalking over to swat her again, in the foot. He fell to the floor and clutched his foot howling in pain.
Nelson: AHHHHHHHH!
Nelson screamed as he ripped the knife out and violently threw it at the floor. Nelson was sitting up no clutching his ribs. He wasn't calm and collected he was violent and angry. Bailey required some violence. Nelson stood up. He saw that Taylor was sting and he kicked her in the ribs again. Nelson's kick was surprisingly hurtful for a swrany guy. Nelson was about to vent some frustrations himself when Bailey started popping off more rounds. Nelson ducked behind a bookshelf. Bailey scrambled to her feet and ran down an Isle as well. It was now a game of cat and mouse between Nelson and Bailey. He was stalking her through the maze of bookshelves.
From his spot he shouted out for his mean to grab Taylor and secure her. Nelson only had 3 men on hand at the moment. Two more outside who obviously heard the gunshots but were under strict orders not to leave their post for any reason. They remained outside. This was the best chance they had at making this out alive.
Nelson: Hey kid. You're not as smart as you think!
Nelson shouted out as he made his way to the next isle, slowly peeking around the corner before looking ahead and trying to locate the girl who was all fight and sass and a lot more substance than flash, than he realized.
