Describe your character's life before the Apocalypse:
- Just a simple and unordinary life of a young person, with a fairly happy and positive upbringing as well. Nothing particularly egregious or otherwise traumatizing that would carry over into the Apocalypse occurred, aside from close relations with his parents. He did gain proficiency with some weapons, although his efforts were used elsewhere for the most part, as he was in a non-dangerous area and safety was not a permeating issue. Due to this, he did his fair share of exercise, studying, and gaming, and learning lessons the hard way or from his own intuition.
What happened to your character on Outbreak Day?:
- He and many of his family members were able to escape to a safe zone, although nobody really knew what was happening at the time, even with eyewitness accounts. He was more confused than anything else, but went along with what everyone else said and did without questioning their judgement or disobeying, as he understood the gravity of the situation; any time when his parents weren’t sure or definitively in charge was a time to be afraid.
Describe your character's life after the Apocalypse:
- When chaos started, his memory began to get blurry. The safezone didn’t last nearly as long as it should have, and quickly devolved into an all out slaughter, with much of his family falling victim to the numberless and mindless droves. Things did not clear up as time went on; life mostly involved running from whatever threat was most imminent; while the walkers claimed this title initially, fellow humans quickly became the larger threat to him and his remaining family and the group they linked up with.
An unfortunate turn of events involving a group of bandits resulted in the death of his mother, a traumatizing event which left him mentally devastated for a long while afterwards, although inevitably he recovered. He was an active participant in the new stronghold in his home state, gladly helping out when possible, although his safety was always a priority.
