Describe your character's life before the Apocalypse:
- Charlotte was the daughter of a semi-wealthy group of Virginian business owners, where she quickly became a socialite among that stratum of people. While her heritage was impressive enough, she was also quite skilled in her own right, showing interest and success wherever she went, although her long periods of studying took up lots of her valuable time, as she learned quite slowly. As she aged, she gained a steady job and was even looking towards starting her own family.
What happened to your character on Outbreak Day?:
- It was after a long day at work that the sirens, screams, and attacks came. Luckily, the bank she worked at was built to sustain against riots, so she and her co-workers were able to lock down the building in safety. Some people tried to run, but all they did was distract the walkers far from the others, allowing Charlotte to slip out unnoticed and get to her vehicle and drive out as quickly as possible, picking up a few others as she went along.
Describe your character's life after the Apocalypse:
- Through some fellow survivors of the initial attack, she learned that her family had escaped themselves, although they’d gone far from a drivable distance by that point, especially with the roads clustering up as they were with hordes and abandoned vehicles. As time went on, and the battered group pushed through the hot summers and freezing winters, the number of fellow survivors drastically fell due to walker attacks, sickness, and the lack of food and water until the remaining 3 split their separate ways during a heated argument in which guns were drawn. Although no violence came between them, Charlotte could quite accurately describe herself as the cause for collapse in the tiny group, but she never would take the blame, citing the other’s lack of coordination and lust for power as far more likely causes. After the incident, Charlotte drove around aimlessly, looking for others; she hadn’t been alone like this ever in her life. Eventually, after a long period of time, she was able to finally find a group of survivors in her home state and link up with them. She eventually demonstrated prowess with guns and improved her survival skills here. This group was the residents of Truce City in Norfolk, Virginia, where she remains to this day.
