Describe your character's life before the Apocalypse:
- Gideon had no discernible school skills, and struggled through until finally calling it quits at the local college and signing up with the local firefighters. Here he proved himself an adept leader and brave, almost to a fault. Saving lives and people was a thing that gave him purpose at last, and where he really developed into the person he is presently. Naturally, his family was extremely unhappy with his decision and decided to pretty much disown him, but at this point Gideon didn’t care. He spent his days either in the field, or talking to his comrades and psyching them up about the people and cats they could save today.
What happened to your character on Outbreak Day?:
- Gideon got some horrifying calls from a neighboring department on that fateful day, and while others shrugged it off or called back for verification, he quickly decided to arm up for the apocalypse, hence he was extremely prepared. After gearing up for less than 2 hours, the walkers were already knocking on his doorstep, the moaning hordes already going to work. He took a bicycle and left, not wanting to get involved, although there was an incident where he was grabbed off the bike, and he quickly learned that the head was the only vulnerable part of the horrifying creature.
Describe your character's life after the Apocalypse: With this knowledge, he biked for a week , pillaging and looting from the unused houses, killing the occasional walker, until he found a half dozen survivors living in a canned food storehouse, where he spent quite a bit of his time. However, he quickly ran into a conundrum with his fellow survivors as he accused the leader of hoarding food for himself among other heinous crimes, and formed a coalition to oust him from his spot. This led to a bloody shootout. When the dust cleared, the warehouse was swarmed by hungry walkers and only Gideon and two of his allies were alive, one of them wounded. As they scrambled to leave, the building collapsed from the walkers and explosives used in the battle onto the wounded woman and the walkers, leaving only two left. The other person panicked and tried to help her out by moving the debris, but was surrounded and devoured, leaving Gideon the only survivor. He biked out and left his state, often using the woods as cover. He hasn’t found another group of people yet.
