Describe your character's life before the outbreak:
Before the outbreak, Wade was a bit of a shutin. He stayed on his farm working away the hours tending to his crops and his livestock. Never had much use for family or any need of a closeness to anyone. He had everything he needed, and he harbored a bit of a lone wolf mentality. He had farm hands to help out with things but he wasn't really close to any of them, and he did't even bother to learn their names he cared that little. Instead he opted to call his farm hands by whatever nickname struck him first. They were just hired help no need to learn their names right? Wade, wasn't a mean man but he was a very self-involved egocentric man. He had his crops and his livestock, that kept the lights on; payed the bills..... But he also had his secret crop. The crop he didn't trust the farm hands to help with, so he tended to this secret marajuana crop himself and always had a healthy crop of weed of different blends available for personal use and to bring in a little extra..... Wade wasn't a man who cared about flashy cars or expensive things.... No, he had his secret crop and was quietly tucking away money hoping to achieve early retirement so he could spend his days on his not having to lift a finger. He would just puff away at some of his secret crop and try and find a little reliefe for his bad knee. He has chronic knee pain from an old injury he doesn't like to talk about, to anyone.
What happened to your character on outbreak day?:
Outbreak day came and went for Wade Lowell without much difference. His farm hands heard about the attacks and went off to be with their families.... Family? Huh Wade thought. What a waste of worry. He didn't need family. Didn't want family. He had everything he needed right here on the farm. His plan was just to wait everything out. His far was relatively out of the way. He didn't even notice anything strange on outbreak day. No, for Wade and his farm way out in the stciks outbreak day was just....... A day. He spent it half interestedly listening to reports of what was happening on the portable radio he had while he went about tending to his animals and his crops himself. The farm hands probably weren't going to show up anymore so someone had to do it. He did however stop from time to time to rest his knee and realize that he had A LOT of work to do since it was just him now. But fuck it. He thought as he rolled some weed ready to take the edge off. I'll just get it done a little at the time. He thought. Lighting up the blunt he rolled he inhaled deeply as the voice on the radio said that the attacks were happening mostly in the city and to stay inside and lock your windows and doors and remain calm. The cities? Well don't have to worry much out here then. He thought. As he exhaled and smoked the weed until he was good and relaxed before he decided to try and get some more work done. Wade worked a few more hours before decided that was all he could stand for the day. He had an early supper and went to bed, not really caring about what the rest of the world was going through if it didn't effect him directly.
Describe your character's life after the apocalypse:
For the longest time it seemed as if Wade's farm was going to be the only thing in the world that would survive this apocalypse. Well, at least to Wade it did. His farm was virtually untouched. He had a peach tree in the front yard, gates around the whole property. He had his own grown food and weed. He had a supply of water from a well out back. He had everything he needed. But that wasn't going to last forever, and it didn't. One day a stranger came barrelling down his driveway. She seemed to be running from something, he would later find out that her sister had just died and she was fleeing her camp that had been over run. Her camp that Wade never knew exsisted; was only a few miles down the road and it got taken out by a heard. She was driving like a bat out of hell when she saw Wade standing in the field. She would later tell him that she wasn't sure what made her want to stop, but when she saw him she couldn't take her eyes off him and his farm. Like he was living in a world that she thought didn't exsist anymore a world free of fear from the dead, and Wade hadn't had but a couple of dealings with him this long into the outbreak ( 2 years in ) He really was pretty isolated out here. But a group had moved into a neighboring farm a few miles away and Wade didn't know about them, just like they didn't know about Wade and his farm. As the gril stared at Wade standing in the field mesmorized, she took her eyes off where she was going and hit a tree. Knocked unconsious her head was on the steering wheel..... Holding down the horn like a giant dinner bell to the heard that was on her heels. saying "Everyone come this way there's another farm to take out" Wade wondered what the horn was about and upon investegating found Stacy Monroe knocked out behind the wheel. He was about to help her when he saw the heard coming over the hill. He had to make a quick choice, run inside and lead the heard directly to his farm and watch it get torn apart or to run away and try and lead them away.
He chose to lead them away so he grabbed Stacy and threw her over his shoulder and carried her quickly up to his barn. He put her sleeping body into the sidecar of his motorcycle he was restoring on his free time and he revved her up and sped off. He made sure the heard followed him. He rode for a few hours to make sure they wouldn't circle back and follow him again so he took his time leading them away like the pied piper. Stacy woke up and screamed and he explained to her what was happening and his name was Wade. She nodded and that was all that was said. When he felt it was safe to return he returned to find his barn on fire. He never found out how or why, he just knew his piece of paradise was gone and it was Stacy's fault for bringing him all his trouble. Still, he was out in the world now, amongst the undead. He wouldn't last long along with his knee the way it was so he stuck with Stacy as a recluctant traveling companion and the two didn't get along great. Wade found it hard to hide the fact that he blamed her. It's been a whole year since Wade lost his farm and 3 years since the outbreak started. Wade and Stacy are now day to day surviving, just trying to find a place that is safe, secure and find a way to not get themselves killed.
