It been two days since Julie gave birth to the wonderful bundle of joy that sat in her lap. She was sitting up in bed the best she could. Her stomach wasn't very happy at the moment. It was sore as all get out but it was worth it. It was worth it to have this tiny little piece of her in the world. She watched as Tyler lifted up his legs to his grabby little hands and grabbed one of his feet like they were the most incredible feet ever and couldn't wait to play with them. Julie laughed and watched as he looked around still unsure where the hell he was and why the things at the ends of his legs kept trying to run away from him, but just when they got out of his grasp they came back! And he tried to grab them before they got away again. ( He didn't realize he was controlling his own feet. He thought the lady with the yellow stuff around her face might be controlling them.) Julie wasn't thinking about Zane. It wasn't on her mind at all. In her mind. Zane was not the father, he never would be. In her mind he had no father only two mothers. Tamara and herself. Julie reached up and tucked the loose strands of "yellow stuff" (Her hair ) behind her ears and softly tickled Tyler's belly. She watched as his curious eyes watched over her. Julie's wrist was still heavily bandaged and taped up to holy hell. Her wrist had a hairline fracture from her time with Clayton. Clayton. A man she won't soon forget, but she was actualyl proud of herself. She didn't back down. She didn't curl up into a ball and crumble like the old her would have in that situation. She was ...... Brave. She didn't let fear control her as much anymore, and though she'd always have a permenant reminder of how weak she was in the form of Zane's name carved into her flesh she knew that those days were behind her... No more weakness. No more being scared of this world. If not for me. And not for Bailey or Tamara. I have to be strong now, for him. She thought as she watched her son, trying to roll over and just couldn't seem to do it. He got frustrated and began to cry which made Julie laugh again as she picked him up to comfort him.
Julie: Oh i know sugar. Shhhhh shhh shhhhh shhhhh. It'alright sweetness, ya know. You may not believe this, but i know what'is like ta feel helpless. Makes ya mad at the world cus ya just don't feel good enough to be here, but i'ma tell you a secret Tyler.... You are good enough... You are going to be a leader in this world someday. Just like yo other Mommy. Your gone be brave, and strong, and kind, and compassionate. People are gone look to you for guideance, and you're gone help them, because you..... My sweet little boy....... Are gone do great things in this world.
Maybe it was the softness of her voice, or the way she was holding him, but as she spoke; cradling his head and holding him in front of her so he was looking at her, he calmed right down. Blinking a few times Tyler looked at Julie and then, he smiled! Tyler smiled right at her, as if he was somehow agreeing with her, and Julie begain to cry with a smile of her own. She held little Tyler and started to rock him. Still unable to believe that she was now a mother, and she had to set a good example. She was going to be strong for her son, to show him that he could be anything in this world that he wanted to be.
